"Integrated Excellence for Engineering Processes"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I use Designcenter NX for testing, validation, and writing of business processes for engineering, and I appreciate that it provides the production equivalent tools our teams use to design parts, systems, and larger assemblies. I find its operation critical to maintaining our digital thread and overall company performance. What I like most about Designcenter NX is that it is very responsive and connected across platforms, which is a huge advantage over other options. I also enjoy the wave linking simplicity and usability, which can be difficult to manage in other programs. Additionally, the initial setup was simple, although it is not managed directly by the user at our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

NXOpen is an option for custom behavior in NX, however if it could more easily integrate with programs and packages from a Python language, that would be awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect for OEM-Vendor Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I love Designcenter NX for its ability to support processes and workflows of clients across different scales, including SMEs, Tier 1 vendors, and OEMs. It offers intuitive interfaces for novices and efficiency modeling paradigms for SMEs, while scaling on the same data model for larger enterprises with expert engineers solving complex problems, enabling seamless OEM-vendor collaboration. I appreciate the automation of design workflows and model preparation for downstream processes such as CAE, CAM, AM, Mfg, and Quality. Additionally, having used Designcenter NX for a long time, I've built several customizations on top of it, making it natural to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

I don't think there are many at this time. I would like to see more AI-based automation of mundane tasks as well as copilots for navigating complex modeling needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Center of the all designs"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

NX provides APIs for nearly all commands, which makes it possible for us to customize our solutions to fit our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

There are too many commands, and sometimes the user experience gets lost when you’re trying to use them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly with Flexible Design Capabilities for Complex Models"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I like Designcenter because it's user-friendly and has great assembly options. I also appreciate its ability to handle NURBS, which helps me to reduce the time taken to make complex models. The initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

For a few options, I need to use several mouse clicks. Having an option to combine several options would be useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Endless Modules and Flexible Workflows for Getting the Job Done"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

There are lots of ways to get the job done. The other modules feel endless, and I can always find something that does exactly what I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Handling of large models. When geometry gets complicated and gets plentiful it starts to struggle. And this is not large assembles, it's assemblies with large models. NX can easily get stuck in an update loop that is often hard to determine what is the cause of the updates. Sometimes the large amount of interconnectivity can be volatile and a simple non-geometric tweak can make an entire model structure update, ultimately ending in no updates to geometry. "Seamless Design and Simulation with Designcenter NX"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I really like Designcenter NX because of its seamless integration between modeling and simulation, allowing me to work and simulate at the same time without any lag. It makes it easy to iterate on designs as needed while alleviating downtime, and the setup was very simple as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

It doesn't allow for sloppy work, sometimes when I'm trying to rush, I get punished with incompatible geometry when using synchronous modeling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhances VR Experience with Seamless Rendering"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I like the seamless experience Designcenter provides, especially when rendering models in VR. The rendering engine, in particular, stands out for me because it works smoothly with my VR headset. I also appreciate the seamless connectivity in live rendering which enhances my activities. Setting up Designcenter was very easy for my team, which is also something I liked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

I find there is no property options, and there are no sectioning options available. I think it would be better to improve that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
