"Designcenter NX: All-in-One Design, Testing, and Manufacturing That Saves Time"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I like Designcenter NX because it is very useful and everything is in one place. I can do design, testing, and manufacturing in same software, so it saves my time. It is not very confusing after some practice, and I can make simple and complex designs also. When I change something, it updates everywhere, so less mistake happens. Overall, it makes my work easier and faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

I dislike Designcenter NX because it is hard to learn at first, needs a strong computer, and is expensive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive solution for high-end requirements"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I think it's great that Designcenter NX is an integrated software. Everything is combined in one solution, and I have no issues with interfaces to other software systems. Additionally, all downstream processes can be derived from a master model, which is really practical: If something is changed on the master model, the subsequent processes are adjusted accordingly.

Especially in the CAM area, I can program all types of machines and technologies – milling, turning, and additive. Through the NX Open API, I can also develop my own tools to standardize and automate processes. The semi-annual main releases also regularly provide new and improved functions.

The price is relatively high, but when you compare it with other products where you would have to buy CAD/CAM/simulation separately, it puts it into perspective, and the price is understandable to me.

Siemens is working very hard on the integration of AI. The implemented copilot is a great help and has very specific NX knowledge. This way, you quickly get summarized support and approaches to problem-solving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Partially, the performance for computationally intensive functions could be improved. Many functions only compute on a single processor core, and I think computation via the GPU would be very advantageous. It is not very intuitive; as a beginner, you definitely need support from experts and plenty of training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy UI and Helpful Docs, but STL-to-NX Surface Conversion Needs Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

Easy to navigate UI. Liked the help button on most of the commands to get online documentation immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Working with STL data and converting to NX surfaces is horrible. Need AI capabilities in converting STL data to parametric. Lot of bugs reported and no tracking on those after converting to PR/ER. Support center response is horrible, they take their own time to respond and solve the issue. 3D PDF genertion is not good as compared to Anark. When dealing with large assemblies, very slow performance and goes to not responding mode and responds very lately. some times gets memory access violation error which no one know how to solve it. "NX: Feature-Rich, Versatile Tools — Find Solutions and Influence Improvements"
4/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

Definitely the amount of functionalities. NX brings so many different functions that it makes it much easier to find the right solution for our needs. Sometimes we'd prefer some function to work a bit different way or to have some more capabilities to cover but it's nice we can have some impact on changes in these tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Sometimes it's hard to understand the behaviour of some functions. It happens that some function behaves different than the other day but usually it's about some small details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great design tool with efficient workflow and powerful features"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

What I like most about Designcenter NX is its user-friendly interface paired with powerful design capabilities. It makes creating, editing, and refining models feel smooth and efficient, so I can work quickly without the process becoming complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

One thing I dislike about Designcenter NX is that it can sometimes feel a bit too complex for beginners. Some features also take time to learn, and it may take a while before you can navigate the interface and tools efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Designcenter Keeps Design and Downstream Engineering in Sync"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

Designcenter provides a broad engineering ecosystem that helps teams work with product information across different development activities. I like the ability to maintain continuity between design and downstream engineering tasks. It also gives organizations flexibility to build workflows around their existing engineering processes rather than forcing everything into a single approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Because the platform supports many different engineering requirements, it can take a while to become familiar with the overall environment. Some capabilities are quite specialized and may require additional training before users can work efficiently. The onboarding experience could be more focused on individual user roles and responsibilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Designcenter Unifies Product Development for Seamless Cross-Discipline Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I like the way Designcenter connects different aspects of product development instead of treating design, engineering, and simulation as separate activities. Having a more connected environment makes it easier to maintain design context and collaborate across disciplines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Because it covers a broad range of engineering capabilities, the platform can take time to understand fully. Some workflows also require familiarity with the Siemens ecosystem before they feel completely intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Designcenter Unifies CAD, Simulation, and Electrical Workflows for Seamless Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I like how Designcenter brings different engineering and design capabilities together in a connected environment. The integration between CAD, simulation, electrical, and product development workflows helps teams collaborate more effectively and reduces the need to move data between disconnected tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

The breadth of the platform can make it difficult for new users to understand all the available capabilities. Some advanced workflows also have a learning curve, and effective implementation may require training and configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
