"A Genuine NX User"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

1) Syncronus technology :- parts imported from other software are converted to dumb bodys but it can still be easyly edited in nx.

2) Easy to adapt UI :- beter visulization compare to other softwares.

3) Advance commands / features :- Commands Like Extraction Path, Variational Sweep, blend pocket and many more are designed by considering manufacturing aspects and the needs of the users.

4) Highly customizable:- The Interface of NX is highly customizable and it is also very easy to integrate by adding *dll files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

1) Seperation of Modules:- there are many add on modules and License files which needs efforts to tailor the specific need of the user to get appropriate licenses.

2) Library editing:- It is little difficult to edit the libraries of few of the modules and almost impossible in some cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly All-in-One Design Centre for Heavy Assemblies"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

It is user friendly, easy to learn can be work for all kind of design like structure and part design, surface design simulation all kind of analysis. Everything can be done there.

Best thing is heavy assembly can be easily manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Dering nothing much to dislike about a design centre, but it would be great if we simplify the help document which helps for the developer to automation and customisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless NX and Teamcenter Integration for Faster, Consistent Standard Part Reuse"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

What I like most about Designcenter is how seamlessly it integrates with NX and Teamcenter, making it easy to find, reuse, and manage standard parts. This saves time, improves design consistency, and helps reduce duplicate effort across projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Sometimes it throws an error that I can’t fully understand, and it’s also difficult to find a solution for those issues by myself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Parametric Modeling Excellence with Designcenter"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I find Designcenter's parametric modeling approach incredibly beneficial as it helps us to modify parameters easily. I also like the family parts options, which assist us in scaling product families effectively. It's great that we can generate multiple variants and circuit sizes of the same product family, adding significant versatility to our projects. The initial setup was easy, making it user-friendly right from the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

I think Designcenter could improve its AI adoption to help us reuse features. We want to reuse tested features like interlocks across our product families, and if AI could assist with this, it would be very beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Designcenter NX: All-in-One Design, Testing, and Manufacturing That Saves Time"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I like Designcenter NX because it is very useful and everything is in one place. I can do design, testing, and manufacturing in same software, so it saves my time. It is not very confusing after some practice, and I can make simple and complex designs also. When I change something, it updates everywhere, so less mistake happens. Overall, it makes my work easier and faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

I dislike Designcenter NX because it is hard to learn at first, needs a strong computer, and is expensive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive solution for high-end requirements"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I think it's great that Designcenter NX is an integrated software. Everything is combined in one solution, and I have no issues with interfaces to other software systems. Additionally, all downstream processes can be derived from a master model, which is really practical: If something is changed on the master model, the subsequent processes are adjusted accordingly.

Especially in the CAM area, I can program all types of machines and technologies – milling, turning, and additive. Through the NX Open API, I can also develop my own tools to standardize and automate processes. The semi-annual main releases also regularly provide new and improved functions.

The price is relatively high, but when you compare it with other products where you would have to buy CAD/CAM/simulation separately, it puts it into perspective, and the price is understandable to me.

Siemens is working very hard on the integration of AI. The implemented copilot is a great help and has very specific NX knowledge. This way, you quickly get summarized support and approaches to problem-solving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Partially, the performance for computationally intensive functions could be improved. Many functions only compute on a single processor core, and I think computation via the GPU would be very advantageous. It is not very intuitive; as a beginner, you definitely need support from experts and plenty of training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NX: Feature-Rich, Versatile Tools — Find Solutions and Influence Improvements"
4/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

Definitely the amount of functionalities. NX brings so many different functions that it makes it much easier to find the right solution for our needs. Sometimes we'd prefer some function to work a bit different way or to have some more capabilities to cover but it's nice we can have some impact on changes in these tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Sometimes it's hard to understand the behaviour of some functions. It happens that some function behaves different than the other day but usually it's about some small details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
