I love how Descript allows me to edit directly inside the transcript, which makes it incredibly easy to find and remove sections by simply identifying and deleting words I don't want. This feature significantly streamlines my editing process for sales enablement and public marketing videos. Moreover, I appreciate the AI voice-over capability that supports creating videos for multiple audiences. Although it requires some additional effort to align precisely with the original voice, it nonetheless provides valuable flexibility in video creation. Another aspect I like is the initial setup of Descript, which was straightforward and not difficult at all, making the transition smooth and hassle-free. Given these features and their impact on my workflow, I'm quite reliant on Descript as an essential tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find it challenging to work with the AI voiceover feature in Descript. Aligning it exactly with the original voiceover takes a lot of time and effort, which disrupts my workflow. Additionally, once the AI voiceover is edited to audio, the inability to revert back is an inconvenience. Currently, matching the AI voiceover with the on-screen action is not as seamless as it should be, which creates further obstacles in editing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate Descript's easy accessibility, allowing me to use it both on a web browser and an app based on my needs. This flexibility is crucial for my workflow. The simplicity in editing through transcripts rather than dealing with sound waves is greatly beneficial, as it enables me to understand exactly what is being said, whether in a podcast or a movie. Furthermore, I find the easy key functions like range, blade, and select tools very simple and convenient to use, especially with keyboard shortcuts. I love that I can seamlessly switch between them. Additionally, the capability to put two different audio pieces together and edit them separately is extremely useful. Descript's functionality and intuitive design streamline the editing process, making it less reliant on complex tools while still achieving seamless results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
{"I find the frequent updates of Descript challenging, as they often require me to reload the application or web browser, disrupting my workflow.","I dislike the changes in the overall aesthetic of Descript after a major update. I preferred how it looked before, as now it requires navigating a more complex settings bar to find tools like range, select, and blade, which used to be more easily accessible."} Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

{"I find Descript to be incredibly user-friendly, making it easy for me to navigate and utilize its features.","I appreciate the auto transcribe function, which is really good at converting speech to text.","I value the AI integration that allows for word removal while maintaining sound quality, ensuring a seamless editing process.","I love how Descript makes it easy to fine-tune customer experience by editing videos effectively, displaying the underlying truth and ensuring we capture everything needed.","I am impressed by Descript’s ability to make creating training and various other types of videos easier, which enhances our productivity."} Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I sometimes find the interpreter integration with the keyboard and mouse a bit challenging, making the interaction slightly less intuitive than I would prefer. Additionally, the constant changes to the software can sometimes make it difficult to keep up with what's happening. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find Descript incredibly user-friendly, offering the ability to easily add my own voice-overs to video clips. The tool supports professional-looking videos even if I lack video editing skills, with options to customize slides with company branding. I also enjoy the variety in avatar options, being able to create both natural and artistic versions, along with custom avatars. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find that some features, especially those related to tweaking audio clips to match recommended slides and voiceovers in the video clip, are challenging to adjust. I believe there should be more tutorial guides to provide guidance on these features. It's sometimes unclear what specific features are about, and having more detailed guides or tutorials would enhance my understanding and usage of these capabilities. The simplicity of being able to edit video content is truly amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it’s difficult to edit in the traditional way when I need to, but I don’t think that’s what Descript was made for anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate that Descript is easy to use due to its intuitive interface, making it a breeze to set up and operate. I love how straightforward the voice-to-text and text-to-voice features are, greatly saving me time in transcription tasks. The recording feature is particularly useful in my operations work. What impresses me most is that Descript delivers on its promises without overpromising, and it reliably performs its functions well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel that Descript could be more accessible. There's potential for ease of use if it were available through a Chrome add-on or something similar. Currently, having to log into my account via Google to process tasks feels a bit cumbersome. If I could process tasks directly from a browser tab, perhaps with a Chrome extension, it would streamline my workflow and save time. This broader accessibility could enhance its application and utility in my daily operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
