I like how easy it is to drop in a video and audio in Descript. It speeds up the process and provides a great beginning of a post or the details, which I can then build upon with my own knowledge. It's really handy for creating transcripts and LinkedIn posts, and I also use it for generating highlights from podcasts. The initial setup was easy, making the whole experience smooth. Some of the tools are not easy to understand, especially when adding the names of people in a video or audio. I've had difficulty making sure that it is turned on properly and that it catches all the different people on the podcast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm use to editing on iMovie and things like Final Cut, I've even tried basic CapCut, however this makes editing as easy as editing a document! and its very fast as well. all of that being said, I wish the Hot keys were more universal like a lot of other editing software for the times when I do go in and want to just eidit a specific thing or Mark a specific time stamp or "split" a video somewhere to insert. also Underlord is a bit buggy. I like the AI interaction, though the AI credit usage is quick. Transcript editing seems good for clarifying unclear words or cutting pauses and ums. The AI also helps in creating clips and trailers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have a hard time with the learning curve for Descript. The subscription plans are confusing and there's no credit for unused subscriptions if I upgrade. The customer service is basically non-existent, just an AI bot. Some features require the business plan, like using my own branding assets, and I can't upload some video formats. The onboarding process isn't great, and I think they should provide more material for new users. Makes editing and creating audio and video so much easier. I use it as a marketer to create podcast, interviews and to edit webinars. I like the quality of the transcripts in Spanish and that I can share it with the students. There are also many editing options to improve it. Being able to export it is also a very good point.

I like that Descript is fast and that it allows me to edit videos using the script instead of the timeline. I appreciate the filler word removal feature, which helps eliminate any filler words like 'HHH' or 'HUH' and decreases the time required for editing. The studio sound feature is also great. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a complete beginner when it comes to editing YouTube videos. My entire career has been spent behind a keyboard rather than working with a camera, so video editing doesn’t come naturally to me. However, AI video editing agents in tools like Descript have truly been a lifesaver. I find the transcription feature in Descript makes editing so much easier and faster than anything else I've used. I like the ease of use and the AI tools like removing filler words and regenerate. The regenerate feature really helps when there are internet errors during our remote recordings for the podcast, as it makes fixing these issues simple.
