## Descope Reviews
 ### 1. Utilizing Descope in Slice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samuel A. | Head Of R&D, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Descope is very comprehensible and easy to use. it supports a lot of integrations. Customer support is very good and fast as we are using a custom slack channel. We use it all the time as it is the main auth flow and the implementation is easy.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Some requests sometimes hang.
The access keys can't be modified

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it as our main authentication provider in the platform.

 ### 2. Cannot be better. Extremely easy to implement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Netanel W. | Head Of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

- Clear and transparent pricing
- Descope Flows, make it extremely easy to configure any auth flow
- Direct communication channels with engineers
- Self-serve SSO
- The speed at which the Descope team iterates on feature requests
- Extremely smooth migration process
- Clear documentations

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

- Google one-tap login outside 'Flows' was a gap when we migrated to Descope. Since then, Descope has released some updates, but we have never been able to get back and complete the missing part.
- Deploying changes (flows and styles) between environments

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Descope Flows, we are able to focus on the core of our product.

 ### 3. This is what authentication should look like!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

The quick integration and pricing matched my needs from day 1. I've made the transition from Auth0, which was a nightmare to setup and extend. I've heard from peers how authentication is hard and descope's approach made the transition quick and easy.
The flows allow for a ton of customization and we've managed to integrate descope for our frontend, backend and internal M2M communication in a day of work. They might be a fairly new startup but it seems they really understand the requirements of multi-tenancy and ease of use. As a developer, I couldn't have been happier switching over to descope!

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

The login component is missing a little more customization but this can be worked around when implementing.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are a simple to use integration for all of our authentication and identity needs. We needed a fast and customizable way to manage authentication and having simple support for User, API and M2M auth made our lives easy.

 ### 4. Great Support + Promising Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Descope has an incredibly responive support team who is ready to help out and even make product changes based on your requests! Pricing is also unbeatable compared to the other options out there!

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

It can be a bit clunky, but it is has been getting much better over time. It is a great bet on the future!

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SSO

**Official Response from Abhishek Iyer:**

**Reviewed by:** Aalap S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

The product is very easy to use and easy to implement after the first walk through. The customer support is really amazing. We have our whole sign flow powered by descope as of now.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

The product onboarding could be a little better, which will help anyone realise what to expect and how to naviate.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Descope is helping us smoothen our onboarding process as the user can sign up with by filling out just one field.

**Official Response from Abhishek Iyer:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback on Descope as a customer authentication solution! We are committed to providing responsive and active support to every customer, so we’re delighted you had a positive experience working with our self-service support options, SDKs, and developer relations team.

We appreciate your feedback about the product onboarding. One recent update we made was launching a fully revamped documentation portal with Quick Start options for every major framework. Please check out the link below and let us know what you think!

 ### 6. A robust easy to use auth provider with a RARE Customer Focus!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John P. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Descope has been a pleasure to work with, and so far I am more than impressed by the auth platform. They offer any number of modern authentication techniques, including passkeys, oauth, and passwordless options that make it super easy for users to get signed up and in. The thing that really impressed me with Descope is the support. They have a wonderful team for developer support available seemingly 24/7 in their slack team. Our original implementation plan included a hybrid approach with descope as oidc for AWS Cognito but after working with their team, and going through to implementation we have since decided to completely transition to Descope with the confidence that we will have a robust auth system thats easy to maintain, and have access to first class support if we happen to hit any issues. This was the first project I integrated with Descope, and based on my experience I will not hesistate tot use or recommend it in the future.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Its hard to find downsides to Descope. If I had to be critical I would say their docs site and tutorials are somewhat hard to navigate. I think their support makes up for that. The only other thing would be a.slight learning curve is using the auth flow builder. There are some parts, like laying out items in a custom screen, that aren't very intuitive, but once you understand how to use it its very easy.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Descope is solving authentication, and making it easy to get robust & secure sign up and in options added to apps. This helps startup owners like myself provide increased value to customers quicker. and Im not sure you can ask for much more than that

**Official Response from Noam Sharir:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your Descope feedback with the community!
We are committed to providing responsive and active support to every customer, so we’re delighted you had a positive experience working with our self-service support options, SDKs, and developer relations team.

 ### 7. Easy to manage user system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee E. | Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

The ease that I have when i need to tweak the user login flow as i am incorporating it in multiple sites
The responsivenes of the descope team on slack makes it a breeze to handle issues

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Their offerings as a SAML IDP are still on the maturing phase, and they have gaps to fill

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User self registration, user login flows, SSO to multiple sites using the same set of users

 ### 8. Integrating Descope for B2B authentication on a Cybersecurity platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Or V. | Co-Founder & CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Quick support time, willingness to help, hoping on Zoom calls, etc.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

A lot of immaturity across the product, bugs and enterprise readiness. Had hard time implementing multi-tenancy within our own UI. Widgets integration fails on Next.JS, NextAuth fails to call different flows, many features are buggy and required us to deep dive debugging the SDK and the platform.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Authentication for our platform for our enterprise customers.

**Official Response from Gilad Shriki:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time and provide your feedback. Like any software, we encounter bugs and issues. However, we are pleased to hear that these were addressed and resolved to your satisfaction, reinforcing our commitment to providing an enterprise-grade product.

We invest heavily in making sure our customers are successful, and one thing we do not compromise is our support and developer-friendly attitude. Whether it's jumping on Zoom calls to troubleshoot or chatting on Slack to explain and assist in the implementation journey, our entire team is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to support you. It is great to see you actually take note of our culture, and to hear you experienced first-hand that attitude!

 ### 9. We love Descope!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

We recently needed to transition off of Amazon Cognito because its capabilities are much too limited. We did extensive research on which IdP solution would meet our needs and be cost effective. We evaluated numerous solutions are Descope was the clear winner. We joined their Startup Program and have been extremely impressed. Their team has been wonderful and sumpremely helpful. We look forward to partnering with them long term.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

So far so good, we haven't had any issues that we couldn't resolve with supports help.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a robust IdP that supports SAML SSO and SCIM

**Official Response from Abhishek Iyer:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback on Descope as a customer SSO solution! Helping B2B customers simplify their SSO and SCIM implementation is one of our key product use cases, so we’re delighted you have had a positive experience with the product and team for your SSO needs.

 ### 10. Simplified authentication with support for major frameworks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raja S. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Great support with questions answered even over the weekend. Very seamless to implement and integrate with both backend and frontend. Supports theming and both drag and drop vs. custom API based build.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

So far it work great and will update with continued use.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access management across our product ecosystem across multiple tenants.

 ### 11. Turnkey Auth - actually for real!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rabbi V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Descope is honestly dumb simple to plug into your app and just have auth done.

In addition, the drag and drop interface means you can leave the product team to tweak the look and feel while dev gets to have fun. I mean, work

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

The webcomponent was a drop hard to set up with vue.js at first. It probably improved since, but it's the type of product that you just set and forget, so I don't know yet

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auth, which is a huge hassle to set up yourself. I was able to simply press a button and get any OAuth provider supported, allowing me to move on and build something interesting

 ### 12. Works as advertised

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Levi L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

It allowed us to integrate our mobile and web applications with many of the most popular IdP solutions. Even though I could implement the OAuth and SAML workflows by hand, why bother? Descope documentation was reasonable and the implementation was much faster than hand-rolling my own.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Descope does come at a cost. That cost is for convenience. However, some organizations may feel the cost isn't worth it. As with all providers, you do relinquish some of the control.
So far we've found the tradeoffs worth it.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Descope to integrate with a few different OAuth and SAML IdPs.

**Official Response from Noam Sharir:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your Descope feedback with the community! We’re delighted that you had a positive experience with our product and team and hope you continue having us as your CIAM partner as your company grows.

 ### 13. I don't worry about users management anymore!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eli G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

The setup and integration was very easy and fast.
I like that I can switch between different authentication methids in a seamless manner.
Most of all, It spares me to develop and maintain the whole users management module in our system

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

The only thing is that the documentation is little lacking, but it's getting better

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the pain of developing and maintaining users management and authentication.

**Official Response from Noam Sharir:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback on Descope as a customer authentication solution!
We truly appreciate your insights about our documentation. The team has been hard at work and recently launched a fully revamped comprehensive documentation portal. Please check it out in the link below and let us know what you think!

 ### 14. Easy Authentication and then some!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brody W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Clean API docs, super easy to integrate into our current system. Their interface is build fairly well and the API is even better. Have all the best with options ready to go with very minimal work.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

I really enjoy the ease of use, it could take weeks or months to build similar functionality.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had to get my app ready to go within a few days. Descoped took a huge chunk of time off my plate by offering their services.

**Official Response from Noam Sharir:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your Descope feedback with the community! We’re delighted that you had a positive experience with our product and team and hope you continue having us as your CIAM partner as your company grows.

 ### 15. Descope manages to fill the hole for customizability and painless setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick H. | Freelance Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Descope offers a ton of different features for authentication, but don't force you onto any one of them.
They have pretty complete documentation, and let you opt-in to different levels of integration, such that you can choose to either let them handle all of the heavy lifting of session management, login screens, etc, or just do it yourself for 100% control.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

The client Node SDK TypeScript typings are about 70% there, they match well for the most part but it tends to lag behind for some of the newer/less used features

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User login and authentication

 ### 16. Lead Engineer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alon C. | Lead Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Descope simplicity and easy integration are incredible. Their response time is great and the employees' attitude is the best.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Some features are missing, more on specific use cases on a technical level. But the team always find time to listen to feedback and implement it if possible.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I looked for a seamless authentication and authorization solution that can scale with my product and requires minimum intervention from my team.

 ### 17. The most seemless auth management platform I've used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Descope?**

The drop in onboarding is mind-bogglingly easy. Within minutes I had auth working in our enterprise product in a multi-tenanted way.

I've used various auth providers both for production-grade apps and my side projects. Nothing comes close to Descope in terms of developer experience.

Following up, I had some additional questions about implementing some advanced flows, and their customer support was super responsive as well. Was able to resolve all the questions in the same business day.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Haven't found anything major issue yet. If I am nitpicking, I found that custom attributes are not typed by default in their node SDK. But it's also super easy fix on our end.

interface UserResponseWithCustomAttributes extends UserResponse {
 customAttributes?: { [key: string]: string };
}

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Descope helps us authenticate our enterprise customers. We didn't have to build and manage an enterprise grade auth solution, descope just works perfectly with our tech stack.

**Official Response from Noam Sharir:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback on Descope as a customer authentication solution! We are committed to providing responsive and active support to every customer, so we’re delighted you had a positive experience working with our self-service support options, SDKs, and developer relations team.

**Official Response from Abhishek Iyer:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback on Descope as a passwordless authentication solution! Helping organizations replace / augment passwords with more secure and user-friendly methods is a key product use case, so we’re delighted you have had a positive experience with the product and team for your passwordless needs.

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Excellent documentation, functionality, and its growing feature set. Implementing our unique authentication model with descope was painless, and considerably easier than we had expected. Any questions or problems that we did have were quickly resolved, and for that I am very grateful of their focus on devex/ devrel.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Nothing comes to mind! They have a solid product and clearly focus on developer experience.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SSO, SCIM, multi tenant authentication. User flows!

**Official Response from Abhishek Iyer:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback on Descope as a customer SSO solution! We are committed to providing responsive and active support to every customer, so we’re delighted you had a positive experience working with our self-service support options, SDKs, and developer relations team.

 ### 21. World class customer service

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2024

I like the team that backs Descope. They are very helpful and attentive. When I've had any issues integrating the product they stepped up and were willing to jump on a call to help me resolve the issue.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Documentation is lacking a bit, but I think this is expected for any company tackling a problem as big as enterprise identity management.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Descope allows me to focus on my product and not spend countless hours building a subpar identity management solution.

**Official Response from Noam Sharir:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your Descope feedback with the community! We appreciate your insights on the documentation. The team has been hard at work and recently launched a fully revamped comprehensive documentation portal. Please check it out in the link below and let us know what you think!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manish K. | CTO & Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Ease of integration and implementation, team focus on customer success. Any questions/problems turn around is very quick.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Honestly nothing to dislike about them. Want to provide an example, when we started implementation some of the sdk support like react native was missing but we got ETA for the same immediately and descope team went out of way to help us take api approach to support it

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Descope has abstract our the whole IAM solution and we dont need to worry about multiple use case, scalability, newer scenarios. We will be needing an engineer to support this but this is all seamless for us.

**Official Response from Noam Sharir:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback on Descope as a customer authentication solution! Our main goal is to help developers implement / modify user journeys easily, so we’re glad to hear your team had a positive developer experience while working with Descope and our no / low code workflows.

 ### 24. Excellent product with great support and community and few shortcomings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Descope?**

- Simple integration to webapp
- No need to manage users & passwords
- Integration with SSO & SCIM
- Great support on Slack community
- Flows tool is pretty cool

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

- Tenant config customization: inability to create custom e-mail / invite per tenant
- Limited / hard customization for login page using flows
- Insufficient support for authenticating on tenants' subdomains
- Flows tool is limited on conditions, regexes, etc...
- No integration with GitHub (or other source control) to "document" / commit historical changes made
- No proper way to test changes before publishing them to production
- Built-in Audit page needs some love

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the problem of having to create my own user management for authentication and authorization (roles & permissions), handle passwords or apply passwordless methods, integrating with SSO & SCIM are all powerful features Descope has in its offering

**Official Response from Abhishek Iyer:**

> Thank you for your review, kind words, and feedback! Regarding your comment on the GitHub integration and testing, we're glad to share that we now have CI/CD templates that facilitate a smoother transition of resources from development projects to production environments. Sharing a link to our docs for the same.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Once you select initial authentication options, if you want to change the methods, there is no easy process. I was able to figure it out and complete it, but it could be made easier.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Descope has made it extremely easy to deploy all sorts of identity management features for my application.

 ### 27. Best solution I've tested against many alternatives

**What do you like best about Descope?**

I used Descop to replace Amazon Cognito and found its time to value to be super quick. I really liked the flexibility that enabled me to do just about anything I wanted with minimum coding efforts.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Desope is a new and growing startup. Some enterprise features are still in flight. The team was very responsive both in support and accepting new features requests.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offload creating an IDP or integrating with an IDP service from my engineering team, focusing on social authentication and authorization, while providing me with a single pane of glass to all of my customers and their login/logout activities.

 ### 28. Simply the Best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Other IDP vendors don't seem to care about your experience, but Descope is night and day different. They've rethought the entire authentication experience, making it a breeze. Their responsiveness is second to none, nipping the few issues in the bud with gusto. The login flows make customising the login experience a joy. Highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

With it being early days still for Descope, there have been a few teething problems. No regrets about making the switch, though!

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Descope's approach to multi-tenancy and SSO has improved our product considerably -- managing role memberships in different tenants is easy. Swapping out our previous IDP integration with Descope has been a relative breeze. The price point makes it quite attractive, as well.

 ### 29. Zero to MVP in no time flat

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura U. | Strategic Advisor - Digital Product & Data Strategy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Descope delivers start-ups the ability to rapidly prototype, develop and deliver production-ready Authentication for products in days.

Why it Matters

Our company built and delivered our membership app to production in 54 days, including automated authorization state handling from Stripe with a team of 1.5 people.

Why we Adopted
* Reasonable pricing & Start-up program
* Low to no code implementation and configuration
* High flexibility on account creation and auth methods
* Customizable look and feel in auth flows
* Excellent: Documentation, Examples, Support attentiveness, and troubleshooting

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

If you're uncomfortable being an early adopter, you can choose a more established, harder-to-use, more expensive option.

This team is led by first-class product leaders building a future marketing-leading product and maintaining a respectable four-nines uptime.

The Descope team's response to customer needs discoveries is to dive in, explore, and understand the opportunity. This often becomes rapidly updated documentation, sample projects, or a feature.

They are also respectful clear, and decisive as to why they will not implement some suggestions.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a very small team, and the technology portion of the company is one and a half people, not counting the CEO.

Descope solved ease of use, stability, and security authentication with all the certs to prove it.

We needed OTP so that our members never have to remember a username or a password but still have secure access to their benefits and entitlements at our club and restaurant.

 ### 30. Removes the burden of managing passwords - for both devs and end users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Venkatesh S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Descope makes it very simple to set up a variety of authentication methods with hardly any configuration changes or custom code. We were able to add email magic links and a variety of social login options without a hitch.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Nothing. The Descope solution is very self-explanatory with clear documentation. The Descope team and community have also been super responsive to any questions we have had.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Descope has transformed the onboarding experience for our founders portal. Using methods such as LinkedIn to authenticate our community members has been easy-to-use for them and has helped us glean much more about their identities. Importantly, we don't have to worry about any of the password-related burdens that usually falls on developers like managing password infrastructure, reset requests, additional fraud measures, and so on.

**What do you like best about Descope?**

We setup an SSO app with multiple tenants. The whole process was very smooth and the admin console is very intuitive to make changes. Was able to also plumb custom fields very easily.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Nothing really as of now overall worked fairly well for us.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Turnkey SSO setup with great language support for node/react

**Official Response from Abhishek Iyer:**

> Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback on Descope as a customer SSO solution! Helping B2B customers simplify their SSO implementation is one of our key product use cases, so we’re delighted you have had a positive experience with the product and team for your SSO needs.

 ### 33. Fast, seamless integration. Works amazingly well!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahesh J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Descope?**

* Strong focus on passwordless authentication, which enabled better user experience

* Swift integration of various authentication schemes

* Flexible integration mechanisms that helped us to start small and iterate

* Ability to visually build authentication UI and workflows using their "Flows" feature

* Robust API documentation and integration support from their team

* SDKs available for various mainstream technologies

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Nothing. Everything worked well, and our current production workloads have been running very smoothly.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Authentication has only been a utilitarian aspect of our apps so far. Descope provided a secure platform while also enabling us to iterate quickly and providing a much better user experience than we could build.

 ### 34. Implementation of Descope in a young startup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

Business model suits startups - free tier up to 50 customers
Stability of the product
Amazing support and community
Adaptive to feature requests

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

API flexibility
Hard to understand API documentation, makes the integration difficult

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Low code user identity management

 ### 35. As Seamless of an Auth Integration as you can get

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Descope?**

Integrating Descope as an Auth Provider was as easy as you like. When blockers arose, the Descope team was swift with support and always willing to Zoom when chat support was not sufficient/efficient.

**What do you dislike about Descope?**

Descope has room to grow and improve the robustness of their product and its documentation, however, as an early adopter this is a given and was totally expected. We are super excited to see how Descope's product evolves and learn how we can leverage Descope's capabilities fully for the benefit of our application.

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are allowing developers to focus on application components and not building authenticate in-house. This is a massive time save and tech debt reliever for any sized team, especially smaller ones.

 ### 36. Exactly what we needed, excelent customer support

There have been usage issues, but CS helped

**What problems is Descope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping our app secure and being able to identify our users.
