"Qualitative Customs Data That Supercharges Lead Generation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Descartes Datamyne?

Qualitative customs data that helps identify companies actively shipping on specific trade lanes. Using Datamyne supports the lead-generation process for professional marketing by making it easier to find and target the right prospects.

User experience is good, and the tool is easy to navigate. ROI is easily reachable if a couple of accounts identified with Datamyne are converted into new customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Descartes Datamyne?

Some countries are missing from the platform, mainly because customs officials do not disclose the relevant data. The platform could also benefit from a light refresh of the layout to make it feel more current and up to date compared with the competition.

Adding a bit more of AI driven solutions could make the tool even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent tool for understanding global import/export flows and competitive intelligence"
4/5
What do you like best about Descartes Datamyne?

I like the ability to download data, especially bulk downloading, as it allows me to analyze them in detail in my systems. Additionally, the initial setup process of Descartes Datamyne was very easy, without any hitches. The system is quite fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Descartes Datamyne?

I don't like the user interface and the grouping for some variables. It would be useful to create more flexible and structured reporting compared to the current one, which is limited. I would like to have more freedom to create charts and reports that are useful to me directly on the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nandini Singh of Descartes Datamyne

Davide, thank you for your feedback. It's great to hear that the bulk download capabilities, ease of setup, and platform performance in Descartes Datamyne support your lead development and trade analysis efforts. For the reporting and visualization enhancements you mentioned, we encourage you to explore Descartes Datamyne AI Agent with your Data Specialist to help uncover insights more quickly and easily.

"Up-to-Date, Accurate Trade Data with an Easy Interface, investment worth it."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Descartes Datamyne?

Descartes is a suite of services that really can provide up to date and accurate information of critical business information for making proper business decisions. Their interface is really easy to use and shows very large international databases related to international commerce transactions at a great detail.

The investment against the ROI is good if you have a lot of transactions per month and in a year.

The onboarding process is very good, and its support efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Descartes Datamyne?

The software comes with a set of databases per country. If the country you deal with is not in then primary list, there is an additional cost.

Something not great of the databases is that the countries providing the data have different levels of disclosure and that impact the time to obtain a conclusion for a certain product or tariff that you analyze. Sometimes making it impossible to reach a trustable conclusion. This issue is not generated by Descartes Datamyne, but is a fact live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nandini Singh of Descartes Datamyne

Thanks for sharing your feedback, Miguel. We’re glad that the accuracy, ease of use, and fast performance of Descartes Datamyne support your competitive analysis and decision‑making. "Easy-to-Use Bill of Lading Data for Granular Trade Flow Analysis"
5/5
What do you like best about Descartes Datamyne?

For broad HS categories, Datamyne helps me narrow my searches to specific commodities, which allows for more granular analysis of trade flows. Because it’s easy to use, I don’t have to spend a lot of time tweaking search queries; I can simply enter the commodity I’m interested in and review the bill of lading data. This makes it easier to supplement the other trade data I already have access to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Descartes Datamyne?

One weakness is that, in some instances, parts of the data have to be estimated, which means it loses some credibility as a primary source. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nandini Singh of Descartes Datamyne

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad that the ease of use and detailed bill of lading data in Descartes Datamyne support your commodity‑level trade analysis. Regarding the estimated data you mentioned, we’d welcome the opportunity to better understand which data elements you’re referring to. Your Data Specialist can review this with you and provide additional support.

"Datamyne - Used for US seaborne import"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Descartes Datamyne?

I've been using Datamyne for multiple other commodities and in the recent times, especially monitoring US imports and tried using other import databases for some countries as well. Transactional level data always helps Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Descartes Datamyne?

I think it's just the interface, but once you get used to it its good. Implementing using AI to help users navigate and search through databases, for example navigating the database using LLM, maybe help generate some insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ryan Dennis of Descartes Datamyne

"Powerful Trade Insights, Usability Needs Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Descartes Datamyne?

I like most about Descartes Datamyne is it gives deep, reliable trade-flow data in a simple, visual way. I love the granular shipment details, like shipper, consignee, HS Code, origin/destination, which help me see exactly who ships what, where, and how often, so I can plan lanes, ports, and risks clearly instead of guessing. The easy filters and charts let me slice data by country, product, or client in seconds and turn it into simple visuals for leadership and operations. Saved searches and alerts cut repetitive work and notify me when new shipments arrive, so I can respond quickly to changes, disruptions, or opportunities. Together, these features make Descartes Datamyne feel like a smart 'trade-flow radar' that supports my logistics, infrastructure, and communication decisions every day. It feels powerful but easy to use, which is exactly what I need for planning and communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Descartes Datamyne?

A few aspects that could improve: it has a steeper learning curve; the many filters can be confusing at first for new users. More direct integrations with our internal dashboards and analytics tools would cut manual exports. For some non-ocean lanes or smaller trades, data can feel a bit delayed or patchy. I'd like more pre-built views tailored to logistics, port-level capacity, and corridor-risk planning instead of building everything from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nandini Singh of Descartes Datamyne

Bhushan, thank you for your feedback and for sharing how Descartes Datamyne supports your lead generation and competitor analysis efforts. We’re glad the real shipment data and saved search capabilities help you uncover new opportunities. For the data consistency and cleanup you mentioned, your Data Specialist can assist with optimizing queries and refining exports to better support your analysis.

"Reliable Trade Data, But Needs Efficiency Improvements"
4/5
What do you like best about Descartes Datamyne?

I like most about Descartes Datamyne is the structured and detailed trade data it provides. As a senior Java backend developer at PYXIDIA Teachlab, working with reliable datasets is very important when building data-driven systems. I particularly appreciate how the platform offers well-organized data that can be easily used for integrations, analytics, and backend services, which reduces the complexity involved in processing raw data and helps development teams work more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Descartes Datamyne?

While Descartes Datamyne is quite useful for accessing global trade data, there are a few areas that could be improved. As a senior Java backend developer, one challenge is that handling large datasets can sometimes feel slower when performing complex searches or filtering large volumes of records. It would also be helpful if the platform offered more developer-friendly features such as improved API documentation and easier data export options, which could simplify integrations with backend systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nandini Singh of Descartes Datamyne

Abhiav, thanks for sharing your feedback with the community. We’re glad that the structured, detailed trade data in Descartes Datamyne supports your analytics and backend development work. For the performance, data volume, and API documentation improvements you mentioned, your Data Specialist can help review optimization options and available export and integration capabilities.
