What do you like best?

Extremely happy with the G7 Dentrix update. It makes patient accessibility and office tasks move much quicker and more efficiently. New employees with no prior dental or Dentrix experience are able to view tutorials and catch on really quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There are a few minor features I wish they would add. One of which is the ability to attach insurance to a patient from a subscriber on another account. This prevents having to create duplicate accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Working with a Dentrix training consultant now to optimize our software and make sure all employees are up to speed on the latest additions. Consultants have been EXTREMELY helpful in implementing new office protocols. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Dentrix is one of many dental softwares I have used and it is in my top 10! I like Dentrix because it is user friendly, easy to navigate, straight forward when it comes to clinical notes/booking dental appointments/reviewing the ledger/viewing what the patient is in for, and also it is the first dental software I was trained on in Dental Hygiene School back in 2012. The dental radiograph software , Dexis, is also quite easy to follow and connect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

After being able to try and see different softwares throughout my 9 years in the dental field, Dentrix's dental charting needs to be updated. The color scheme/background is too dark, the icons are tiny and difficult to read, and the treatment planning/printing out the treatment planning is difficult to follow and read. There is also a part where you use to clock in and out and it just seems too messy/a lot of icons and pictures and not easy to follow , especially if you just want something basic. I think some cleaning up would help make the visual part of Dentrix better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Try other softwares/demo other softwares, decipher what you really need for your office (is your office a small practice versus large? decipher how much you want to pay and the monthly fees/the updates etc.), and be open to trying not so "big" name brands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dentrix is easy to book appointments, easy to invoice your work, pretty straightforward when writing your clinical note and reviewing your daily schedule. It has some great benefits too it BUT it is not my personal favorite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I love how it can be color coordinated and i really like the icons that help identify the tabs. not hard to learn and is very straight forward. we have had it for a few years and we are constantly learning how to do new things on this software. i love the technical support you get with dentrix you can do it by phone or through online chat, they make it convenient for anyone and are always so helpful. i also love how you can send insurance claim and they automatically batch for you saves soo much time and im all for saving as much time as i can. What do you dislike?

im not big on the treatment planning section it is hard for our girls to navigate. and its hard for me adding and changing the way procedures are set up in the system. but over all i would have to say there are not too many things we dislike about the system. What do you like best?

Very user friendly dental software, current office just acquired this software from previously using softdent. Staff was able to learn the software in a week! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Dentrix helps aid front of office in serving the back of the office by updating and reviewing patient charts, generating treatment plans, and printing prescriptions. Dental practices can benefit from using this by keeping record of patient files, seeing charts, and keeping family members all together and flowing through members easy. What do you dislike?

What do you like best?

The chart is color coded (completed treatment, existing & proposed) which makes it easy to read just by looking at the chart. Giving more than one option to the patient is also easy to use. I like that the tooth chart prints with the treatment plans, this makes it easy to explain to the patients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

They have so many reports and some reports say close to the same things. Our office had a hard time deciding which reports were right for our office. Even with discussing the reporting with our Dentrix rep we didn't know if the reports we were using were accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like best that if I make a mistake and put xrays on someone else’s account the ease of moving them compared to other programs is greatly! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

It is user friendly and integrates well with Dexis software. The perio charting features are some of the best I have seen and it's helpful to explain perio conditions to patients. The graphs and comparison features are great for patient motivation as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lots of features make it a nice and organized system. From scheduling to managing lab cases it’s a very well rounded system. What do you like best?

The best parts about this software lie within the ease at which it is for an employee to sit down an learn how to use it. In addition, the layout is designed to be easily navigated through which is necessary in my line of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don’t find many aspects of this software that I dislike. If I could change one thing it would just be something materialistic such as changing the colors used for the interface display because it tends to be boring Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Eliminating the need to keep every patient record in a physical file and moving them into a system that is easy to use and navigate through. What do you like best?

By far my favorite software for a dental office. There is so much you can do with this platform but it’s super user friendly. The design is clean and everything is easily accesible from the dash screen after signing in. If your an admin- putting locks on certain commands is super easy if you are wanting to handle this and not the rest of the team. Wouldn’t go back to any of software. What do you like best?

Dentrix is definitely the most used practice management software, however there are others out there and there is always something that a different program allows you to do but this one doesn't. Not to get specific but there's usually something we would like differently in the patient chart section. What do you like best?

I liked that I could switch from my schedule to another office schedule. It was easy to schedule patients in other offices if they needed to go there instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I disliked that you asks you a lot of question before you can proceed to your next task. Every little thing has a box and must be filled in if not it will not let you go any further. It was not ideal when we were busy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

My favorite part about Dentrix is the note charting. I love how you can program the notes with predetermined answers - it makes charting a lot faster and overall helps with time management between patients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
