There is a lot of opportunities for Delta really combine everything throughout the entire life cycle. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** Honestly, when the system moved to vantage point, they removed a lot of the functionality that came with. In this conference, I'm noticing they're releasing this functionality as new but honestly, it was taken away as part of the upgrade from vision of a vantagepoint. I think when you upgrade it to a new system, you should at least keep the same functionality in place or enhance it, not remove it. People shouldn't have to take a step down or lose functionality to upgrade to a new system. Think about the complexity of the steps and allow us self Service. Many users are not technical and they want to be able to execute a function as quickly and easily as possible. Some of the ideas are really great however, the execution fall short in many areas because it's not necessarily tested on a larger semi complex type company **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are not fully utilizing the entire system yet at this point it's still very manual and we would like to go in the direction of utilizing the dashboard more for more intelligence. ### 2. They make monthly reporting easier. Also the sorting capabilities for invoicing saves a lot of time, especially when using invoicing approvals. Saves so much time and paper. Also, opening up employee expenses has saved the accounting department a great deal of time. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** There are too many steps with most things that you do. For example there are so many screens to go through just to set up a project. In Vision you were able to complete one screen & have it filter to all other screens. Also, being able to post & print a check right from the AP voucher screen would save so much time. **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our firm has a time management issue, and we are able to track time and tasks per person to figure out why there is a large difference between work load and tasks. ### 4. However, field employees have difficulty signing in and entering time to the right jobs. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** Overall, the system's appearance is very outdated. We're talking pre-Y2K here outdated. There are too many fields required and we've worked with Deltek to get that consolidated to only what we need. The program also seems confusing when searching in the search bar for employee name, instead of a drop down it takes you to the first "Smith" record. **Recommendations to others considering Deltek Vantagepoint:** I really don't like this program. We've hired a few new team members to our accounting staff who agree the system is outdated and has it's limitations. **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use this for time & expense and all accounting needs. Useful features include the info center, calendar/activities, time&expense reporting, utlities, and training materials. While CRM is where vision is most robust, the 'best' feature is reporting. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** The user interface leaves a lot to be desired. It is fairly confusing to use and requires significant training to become a power user. The search function is not always reliable.
