"Efficient document management for a busy office"

What do you like best about Deltek Project Information Management?

Filing is quick, document issue saves a lot of time, holiday calendar records requests immediately.

Ticket support is prompt and there are many how-to guides to review.

Direct contact with our account manager is welcomed and response time for queries is quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Deltek Project Information Management?

The search mechanism is a little restrictive i.e. the use of * and ' ' is more time consuming than just typing in a keyword to bring up results.

The search for phone numbers is difficult sometimes i.e. if someone is called Andrew and you type in Andy and the surname, it doesn't even pick up any close results on the surname only.

The general administration of holidays etc. is not quite as user friendly as I would have hoped.

Restrictions on license numbers i.e. we needed to reduce licenses based on our team size and since licenses came in bands it remained costly for our smaller number of users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Deltek Project Information Management?

Holiday administration works incredibly well and the file management / storage side of things has so much potential! It has been a pretty slow implementation so far with various ongoing issues but the finish line is in sight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Deltek Project Information Management?

I have found trying to get things sorted with Deltek fairly difficult at times... long wait times / no answers ETC. We have has three different account managers and trying to arrange new work, after an initial discussion / consultation, then seems to be forgotten about. We had one work order that took 11 months to be implemented after an initial email to our then account manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Deltek Project Information Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Email filing is the biggest and probably most important part of PIM for us. At this stage we are using PIM to store all of our contacts and this possibilities of this really do feel endless. Again, we can see so much potential in the system and cannot wait for the small issues / development bits we have ongoing to be completed so we can finally get up and running. What do you like best about Deltek Project Information Management?

Information can be classified at project level, at pool, at role or at an individual level, giving highly controllable access in a very straightforward manner. The system and security is straightforward to manage. The development of the mobile platform, particularly with custom forms, has helped roll technology out to our operational workforce. As a business we have lots of small fast paced project across the UK on the go at the same time. It was difficult to control all the documentation and details required at such a large scale. The Deltek PIM system allows us to quickly gain a high level view of everything we need to do and at the same time offer tools for easily drilling down into more detail. Less adapatble now, we had custom built aspects, that need redeveloping now for cross browser working. Dislike loss of separate document approval mandatory workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Try to utilise all aspects available to ensure a better user experience, i.e. not having to use different softwares for different aspects. E.g. training, personnel records, supply chain management Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Deltek Project Information Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Deltek Project Information Management?

Once setup and configured the system is easy to manage and use. The user interface is easy to navigate and with very little help you can teach yourself the system. The system also is great for managing project documentation like emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The fact that not all features are available in all browsers. so you have to keep using old technology. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Deltek Project Information Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

We utilize the drawing/document management module for all of our issuing and recording which is both time saving and keeps an acurate record. Another major benifit for us is the management of emails. Meaning we do not have large email accounts for our users as all project emails are stored in Deltek PIM Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
