I also don’t like that there’s no sorting or filtering for the GL accounts. I often tell people it feels like I’m doing accounting in a PDF. I also don’t like how the Labor Distribution Reports only show the time that has been entered, not what is still remaining to be entered. We often run payroll by department, and a department can have up to 80 employees. I would like to be able to run a report that shows everyone in the department and the hours they’ve entered, even if they have zero, so I can quickly see who is missing. This week I missed paying someone, and if I had been able to see who had no hours in the department I was running, I could have caught the issue. Also, we sometimes use the description field when time is entered in labor distribution, and the description will often include a job code that the time should be applied to. It would be helpful to be able to edit those descriptions after payroll runs. I don’t think that would be overly sensitive to change after payroll, and it could then flow into Qtools when we run time history reports. That’s all I can think of off the top of my head. **What problems is Deltek ComputerEase solving and how is that benefiting you?** I really appreciate that they keep providing updates as new payroll regulations come out, because that’s what I benefit from the most. ### 5. As a union employer, we are required to comply with the rules, pay rates, fringes, and other details that are required of the unions with whom we are affiliated. Using it every day it is a system that can be learned in only a couple of months and it is good for accounting. **What do you dislike about Deltek ComputerEase?** There are a lot of manual processes when it comes to payroll. The FieldEase time application is completely antiquated and it is not a time saver when it comes to overtime calcuations and review of nontax entries. The tracking/auditing of updates or changes is non-existant which makes understanding why something happened quite difficult. It is difficult to get direct support over the phone if ther is an immediate problem, only tickets are available and scheduled calls. **What problems is Deltek ComputerEase solving and how is that benefiting you?** At this time, I am not sure that any problems I'm experiencing are being worked on or a solution found for them. **Official Response from Kelsey Hainley:** > Hi Karl - Thank you for choosing Deltek ComputerEase. In addition I feel it helps with estimating new projects. Estimators that are bidding similar jobs that they have in the past can look at past similar jobs to truly understand if their estimate needs adjustment. **What do you dislike about Deltek ComputerEase?** I would say the least helpful part is the API portion. I believe they've made progress but still need to consider more direct open API's with service platforms such as ServiceTrade. **What problems is Deltek ComputerEase solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to using Deltek ComputerEase the company I consult for did not have a good job costing program. Any audits that we have, the auditors like the reports that we can generate, some have said the best they have seen. **What do you dislike about Deltek ComputerEase?** This isn't a dislike, just something I wish could be changed. We can't change the vendor number on accounts payable when a company sells to a different company. So have to change the vendor name, then remember what the business used to be called. Example - Laclede Gas is now Spire. The same goes for when an employee gets married. It's confusing to know who to contact for whatever issue you may be having. Is it ComputerEase or Deltek or now Emptist? **What problems is Deltek ComputerEase solving and how is that benefiting you?** all of our accounting. **Official Response from Kelsey Hainley:** > Hi Tammi!
