I like that you are able to specify different markets and publication types. Cision does a good job at keeping the functions user-friendly and easily accessible. **What do you dislike about Deloitte Consulting?** The UMV numbers are outdated and only one person can use an account at a time. Other people get bumped off with each login and it is inconvenient. The expense is high enough that it should allow you to have multiple on at one time. The numbers and emails can be outdated as well. **Recommendations to others considering Deloitte Consulting:** Others should be aware that Cision is not the only avenue to finding reliable information. PR professionals can not rely on Cision to find the right people to pitch. They can only rely on Cision to find the right email addresses and phone numbers. I hope Cision encourages journalists and writers to write more about their beat and interests on their Cision webpage because it helps to have that extra information all in one place. For instance, putting "sports" isn't enough to know and sometimes the extra details help PR professionals save time from all the research. Which can be especially hard when that contact has no social media. **What problems is Deloitte Consulting solving and how is that benefiting you?** Access to contacts we may not have otherwise. Being able to rely on the database for important information. Without Cision, we wouldn't be able to connect with the right people. More and more contacts are attempting to hide their contact information, so Cision helps us get the information we need. ### 2. Git. You won't know what you are missing until you tried using git. **What do you dislike about Deloitte Consulting?** Git by itself is not visually appealing. Use it on GitHub and a like service and it's power and beauty shine. **Recommendations to others considering Deloitte Consulting:** Might be a small learning curve, but there are a lot of online resources that can help you get started fast. I would recommend forking existing repos and branches to get started using Git. **What problems is Deloitte Consulting solving and how is that benefiting you?** Git allows development to be agile. Allows developers the ability to work on multiple problems/tasks without needing to worrying about tracking their changes separately. ### 3. Back before Heroku's toolbelt they were my preferred web hosting platform. Unfortunately Heroku's platform is leaps and bounds ahead of where they are and they lost me as a customer. Clients are not happy! 2. Not being able to edit online booking services for individual technicians ... not all stylists perform all services and so there is no way to customize booking services on line 3. They are like a big time law firm in that they only hire high level candidates coming out of school. **What do you dislike about Deloitte Consulting?** In conjunction with the above comment about high level consultants, I have run into some Deloitte employees who almost felt entitled and above the people they were helping. This firm is really only for larger business as their cost is more than the typical SMB is going to be up for paying. **Recommendations to others considering Deloitte Consulting:** If you have a very large project that needs to be done right Deloitte is usually a good choice. ### 9. And while they can be a bit pricey, they also have consultants with various levels of expertise and offshore resources whose rates can be blended together to help keep costs down a little bit. **What do you dislike about Deloitte Consulting?** Just like any large consulting company (or any large company in general), there are always going to be good consultants who really know what they're talking about and can make excellent suggestions for how to solve problems and bad consultants who aren't actually as knowledgeable as they seem. The hardest part sometimes can be determining which consultants fall into which categories and then following up with the company to replace the people you aren't happy with. **Recommendations to others considering Deloitte Consulting:** This is not specific to Deloitte as much as it's advice when considering any large consulting company in general - make sure you have well defined requirements and subject matter experts in house who can help drive whatever projects the consultants are working on. When used purely for staff augmentation, an organization like this can do some great things, but if you let any consulting firm completely run your projects from start to finish with minimal involvement on your end, you're asking for trouble. ### 10. What I like is that they come with real tangible examples to illustrate challenges, issues or questions we may have so we can visualize and end result from real users. **What do you dislike about Deloitte Consulting?** As with all consulting firms the goal is to have a long engagement and therefore make lots of $. I believe in discovery and alignment before action but the timelines based on my time in IT consulting seem long. **Recommendations to others considering Deloitte Consulting:** I would use them as a premier provider. If you need long term project management and implementation skills you might be able to hire and maintain this in house. Depends on your goal and how much money you have to spend. ### 11.
