**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheel S. | Data Scientist II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Deepgram?**

The best thing is end to end voice agent. In a modular manner to select different choice of models for STT, LLM, TTS

**What do you dislike about Deepgram?**

Relatively high costing, lower concurrency limits, not easy option to ask for higher concurrency limit. Low control over text to text model (only prompting at best)

**What problems is Deepgram solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me for end to end voice agent with better performance then most of the competitors in terms of usability and user experience. Integration with the calling service easy and well explained

 ### 2. Transcribing Tool With Capability beyond comprehension

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Konjengbam M. | BDR, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Deepgram?**

What I appreciate most about this platform is its impressive transcribing efficiency. It handles tasks with such detail that it can meet nearly any organizational need, from summarizing content to identifying both the intent and the speaker. Its sentiment detection capabilities are truly remarkable. I also enjoy how user-friendly the interface is. The platform’s ability to distinguish between speakers adds even more value to its summarization features, making the results much more meaningful. This platform also have a reasonable pricing.

**What do you dislike about Deepgram?**

I would have been a complete fan of this platform if transcription were supported for several major world languages. Expanding language support would have enhanced the platform's versatility. The user may also take a little bit of time in leaning to use the full capabilities and features of this platform.

**What problems is Deepgram solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool enhances our team's efficiency by decoding lengthy speeches or meetings and pinpointing the main ideas within audio files. By summarizing long audio into shorter, more manageable segments, it allows us to quickly grasp the key points, ultimately boosting the team's overall productivity.

Deepgram Continuosly working on language support, currently nova-2 and nova-3 models are comes with less number of language support (Ex: Nova-3 supported languages are: English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian, and Dutch), but deepgram working on the language support and enhancing it.

 ### 5. Fast and Accurate Transcription Essential for Productivity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad A.

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Deepgram?**

I'm extremely satisfied with Deepgram's faster transcription speeds and higher accuracy compared to other services I've tried before. I appreciate how straightforward the setup process was, especially with the aid of templates from Vercel, which significantly helped me in implementing live transcription features. Additionally, Deepgram's documentation was very helpful, providing clarity and ease in setting up transcription for prerecorded audios. The efficiency in transcribing meetings has been a core enhancement for my application, notably in how it saves time in report generation and boosts overall productivity for users. The speech-to-text API effectively integrates with my existing frameworks like Next.js, providing seamless usability. I'm also pleased with the ongoing improvements in transcription quality, especially in speaker diarization, which is crucial for my application's success. The consistent enhancements in these areas demonstrate Deepgram's commitment to improving user experience, making it a reliable choice that I would consider repurchasing.

**What do you dislike about Deepgram?**

I would like to see improvements in Deepgram's speaker diarization. The current state could be enhanced to deliver a much better experience for my end users. When conversations are clearly diarized, indicating who said what and at what time, it significantly benefits the user experience.

**What problems is Deepgram solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Deepgram for meeting transcription which saves users time in creating reports, thus increasing their productivity.

 ### 6. Fast, accurate speech-to-text built for developers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajnish K. | Salesforce Associate Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Deepgram?**

I’ve been using Deepgram primarily for transcribing calls and product demos, and honestly, I’m pretty impressed. The transcription quality is solid, even when the audio isn't crystal clear. It handles real-time audio really well, and the streaming API has super low latency, which is a huge plus for live apps. What I also appreciate is how flexible the whole platform is. Whether you're uploading files or working with live streams, it’s easy to integrate and doesn’t require too much setup. I also like that everything is processed and stored in the cloud, so I don’t have to think about infrastructure. Plus, having the option to add features like sentiment analysis or speaker detection gives it an edge, especially for more complex use cases.

**What do you dislike about Deepgram?**

That said, there are a few things that could be better. Speaker diarization is probably the weakest link, it struggles when multiple people sound similar and sometimes mixes them up. I've also noticed that fast or overlapping speech can mess up the punctuation and structure of the output, which means I still have to clean it up manually at times. Setting up things like custom vocabulary or webhooks wasn’t super smooth either, it works, but there’s a bit of a learning curve if you’re new to this. Also, while they support multiple languages, it’s pretty clear that English gets the most love. If you’re working in other languages, you might run into some accuracy issues.

**What problems is Deepgram solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deepgram has made it way easier for me to turn audio into usable, searchable text without spending hours manually transcribing. I use it mostly for calls, demo recordings, and internal voice notes, and it saves me a ton of time. Before this, I was either typing things out myself or relying on tools that missed half the words. With Deepgram, I can just send the audio and get a clean transcript back within seconds. It's fast, reliable, and accurate enough that I barely need to edit anything. That’s a huge win when you’re juggling multiple tasks and don’t have time to slow down.

 ### 7. Reliable and Efficient Speech Recognition Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dewesh A. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Deepgram?**

Deepgram provides highly accurate speech-to-text and text-to-speech solutions with impressive speed and scalability. The API is easy to integrate, and the transcription quality, even in noisy environments, is exceptional. Their real-time processing capabilities have significantly streamlined our workflows. A reliable choice for anyone looking to enhance voice-driven applications.

**What do you dislike about Deepgram?**

Only improvement we’d love to see is lower latency for real-time use cases. Overall, a reliable and scalable solution for voice capabilities.

**What problems is Deepgram solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deepgram helps us convert speech to text and text to speech with high accuracy and low latency. It simplifies handling large volumes of audio data, saving time and reducing manual effort. This has improved our productivity, enhanced the user experience in our applications, and allowed us to deliver faster, more reliable voice-driven solutions.

 ### 8. Industry Leading Voice Solutions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Deepgram?**

Deepgram provides top-of-the-line tools when working with audio-based solutions. The documentation is generally good and easy to integrate.

Nova 2+3 are a significant improvement over some of the competition we tried and are easy to integrate and use. The recent add of a multilingual model in nova-3 covering a broad range of languages has been extremely helpful in our translation solution. Additionally, low latency is a major part of what our translation solution needs and deepgram's STT is one of the lowest latency solutions we have tried in terms of first-response.

The deepgram voice models are especially well suited for pronunciation and have a very natural tone when doing so - which is important for intake events and confirming user information over voice which is inherently unreliable for specific data items like name or phone number.

The deepgram agent api is a huge improvement over manually glue-ing STT, TTS, and an LLM together and managed orchestration for it sped up our development of an agentic voice solution by manyfold.

The partner program allows for communication with deepgram that smaller teams and orgs normally wouldn't have. They have helped us address issues as well as work through implementation details that were hard to implement or hard to miss.

**What do you dislike about Deepgram?**

Deepgram doesn't have the language support of some other providers, which can be limiting - but they have worked to expand the number of languages they support.

The prices all include the "model improvement program" which can't be used for all of our industry applications - so the actual price is 2x when used in that way.

When we built the agent API the docs were not up to date with the latest deployed version of the model so there was a lot of guess and check to figure out what was actually supported.

**What problems is Deepgram solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We offer several audio-based solutions using Deepgram products:
- Real-time voice translation on phone calls
 - We use Deepgram's STT and optionally TTS to transcribe, translate, then play audio in the translated language to the other party on a call, enabling seamless communication between two users who don't speak the same language
- Agentic Call-Center Claim Intake
 - Using Deepgram's voice agent API + nova-2/3 we let users call in and use AI to collect their information to process their claim

The advantages of using Deepgram for both of these solutions are:
- Low latency, allowing us to have near-natural timing of time-sensitive audio processes
- Agent orchestration, rapidly speeding up development of complicated turn-based processes when conversing with an agent
- Natural-sounding spelling, which is key when taking critical information via voice and confirming data with the user. Many other TTS providers struggle with repeating letters and numbers out naturally
- Low cost, helping us bring advanced audio solutions to market without it being cost prohibitive

 ### 9. Easy Integration and Useful Features for Expansion

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Killian F. | Principal AI Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Deepgram?**

Really like the ease of integration and how well the transcription api works. We use it on phone calls and so the audio is not always the best but on dual-channel recordings Deepgram's subscription performs very well. It also has a number of additional useful features like speaker diarization, language detection, and keyterm passing. In an industry like ours passing specific proper nouns for better detection is really important.

**What do you dislike about Deepgram?**

The speaker identification on single-channel audio could be better. Also the combination/sequence of utterances and how they are returned by the API is a little complicated for grouping into visually appealing back-and-forth chats between multiple speakers.

**What problems is Deepgram solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transcribing phone calls

We use Deepgram's Speech-to-Text in our products. By and large, the product works as advertised and it's straightforward to use and is generally perfomant.

**What do you dislike about Deepgram?**

Some things of concerns:
1.Deepgram had a lot of issues transcribing repeated zeros correctly e.g. when transcribing “eight hundred” phone numbers i.e. when someone says "the phone number is eight hundred two three zero six nine seven five”, smart formatting transcribes as “802306975” i.e. “80” instead of “800”; this was repeatedly a problem for us
2. Deepgram's streaming audio speech_final parameter does not reliably work for us

**What problems is Deepgram solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deepgram provides the speech-to-text part of our AI voice agent product

 ### 22. DEEPGRAM ASR AND TTS REVIEW

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mukunda D. | Co-Founder & CTO AI, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Deepgram?**

Deepgram has never stopped even after going leaps and bounds on the ASR side. They have shown stronger commitment with their latest TTS system called Aura which actually helps customers to stick to one company for both ASR and TTS. this is actually very helpful. They have lots of good documentation and this helps the developer community to get a quick start on their solutions. Ease of implementation starts with good documentation. Deepgram APIs and their simplistic approach towards the APIs even tho they are building complicated models to get state of the art Voice models actually makes it easy to use .

**What do you dislike about Deepgram?**

Their models and APIs are yet to give full feature of sentiment and emotion detections in real time speech. as of now its restricted to detecting and predicting emotions for offline audio files where as it will be more useful for real time scenarios. hope that feature comes soon.

**What problems is Deepgram solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deepgram solves ASR and includes multiple language support with lowest latency. Lately they started the TTS models as well with the introduction of Aura and this seems to be promising.

 ### 23. Really fast and accurate transcriptions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Deepgram?**

Since we started using Deepgram, it has been incredible. The best part is its low latency and really fast, accurate transcription. Before Deepgram, we struggled to transcribe videos quickly enough; it often took too long and sometimes failed. I looked at several providers, but Deepgram was the fastest and most accurate. Plus, we didn’t need to host a transcription model, making it much easier for our engineering team to build. Their team has been easy to work with, and we were able to get up and running pretty quickly. We use it frequently for our transcription needs and are planning to experiment with several of their models and their new Text-to-Speech feature.

**What do you dislike about Deepgram?**

One thing that would’ve been more helpful is having an endpoint to automatically generate high-quality chapters with timestamps for videos. I would’ve loved a simple endpoint with customization options for this. Ultimately, we built this in-house and are happy with how it came out, but I would’ve preferred to spend more time on other roadmap items.

**What problems is Deepgram solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deepgram helps us transcribe a wealth of videos and audio quickly and accurately for our customers, so we can analyze and generate content from it. This allows us to focus on the generation part instead of building infrastructure for speech transcription and sentiment analysis.

 ### 24. Reppls review (https://reppls.com)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Deepgram?**

Ease of development is really nice. Many options like setiing of end of speach and smart formatting. Pricing models are also good.

**What do you dislike about Deepgram?**

I do not dislike anything but there is couple of things which may make our life better
Our startup work with live audio stream with voice
We actively use on premise VAD for detecting user speach start/end. It consume a lot of CPU so we would be happy to use Deepgram VAD, but there is no way to set up it.
Default VAD event 'speach start' triggered not only on speach but a lot of other sounds like a cought or chair squiking. So it would be nice to be able to adjust sensetiviry. Or get ongoing event stream like (voice/silence) to manage it on our side.
Also we tried TTS but still useing open Ai one because voice intonations (expecially when using with stream, when we send sentence by sentence, not all at once) is not so good.

**What problems is Deepgram solving and how is that benefiting you?**
