"Deckard integrates the missing piece into your IDE: The team"

What do you like best?

Bringing up all this information on your code just by double-clicking on it lets you keep an eye on the bigger picture all the time. Especially when your codebase reaches a certain size and complexity. It’s really nice to always be up to date with recent changes to the code by other team members and have code-related discussions right next to – and linked to – your actual code.

What do you dislike?

Young product, so it may need some polishing here and there (ui, usability). Looking forward to seeing the app and its features evolve.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Definitely worth a try. Deckard really enhances your coding experience by bringing documentation and code-related team interaction right into your editor.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our startup is on its way to launching its first software application in the second half of this year. Our codebase will be growing quite fast along the way – as will our team. We are evaluating Deckard because we are on the lookout for a tool that helps us to keep the time and resources spent on documentation to a minimum while allowing new developers to quickly board and become effective.

"Great dev tool that helps us each day"

What do you like best?

Dekard integrates all code information and history from Git and all information about task from Jira and Confluence in one place. That speeds up our development process. Very useful is integration with Slack - the command helps to add anew card to the Deckard just from our Slack channel. That is really cool.

What do you dislike?

We love the Mac OS client - we are using it on all of our Mac's, But we also code on Windows. There is no Window Desktop client yet. But I hope that the are going to release in near future.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Deckard is cool - it speeds up our process of code optimization and code review!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It speeds up our code review and code optimization. We used to spend to much time on code reviews. Now we spend less - even 50 % less.

"If you develop a product, it's the awesome tool for your team!"

What do you like best?

I love that Deckard provides enough code transparency so the Product team is able to understand the code and debug some parts of the code without engagement of the Engineering department.

What do you dislike?

Some of the features are not self-explaining or intuitive enough. Overall experience is still quite good.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Just try it out. There is no better way to evaluate a tool than trying it.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It provided us a shared knowledge base for the code. More transparency of the code brings of course many benefits and is useful both for the Product team and the Engineering team.

"WoW Deckard !! Documenting codes is a not a nightmare anymore"

What do you like best?

All code at one place and dynamic documentation. Saves plenty of time in training/on-boarding junior developers.

What do you dislike?

User interface and design of Denkart main site could look more creative but its not really a concern.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Go with it. They are only a year old but the potential is immense and what they offer at the moment is just amazing as how it saves so much time and money. May be its not the most intuitive tool but its getting there. They have free trial for a month so worth a shot.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Documenting codes were never so easy

"Increase productivity and keep knowledge within."

What do you like best?

Deckard's effortless way to increase productivity seamlessly by showing everything our Engineers and Product team need about a line of code right on the screen.

What do you dislike?

The design of the cards could be better.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Definitely give it a try. There's nothing out there like this.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Less productivity by the engineering team, now with Deckard shows more output by the engineers due to less disturbance caused. All and everything an engineer needs to know is right there, nicely shown.

This also benefits the company to get new comers to start working much faster.
