## About DecisionRules
DecisionRules is a business rules engine at the core of a decision automation platform, now adding a decision intelligence layer: audit every decision, analyse what happened, test a better version, and ship it. It is a no-code/low-code Business Rules Management System (BRMS). Engineers integrate it over a REST API and set the guardrails (roles, spaces, versioning, and rollback), and business teams model and update business rules within them, so changes go live without a full release cycle. Go live in days, not months. Professional Services available. Pay as you grow. No monolithic suites. No paying for features that sit on a shelf. Add use cases, users, and environments at your own pace, with public cloud pricing on our website. Built for enterprise scale. The platform handles 1B+ decisions a day, and the new Solver module evaluates rules in under 10ms. SOC 2 audited. ISO 27001 certified. Build together, not around each other. Model business rules with Decision Tables, Decision Trees, Decision Flows, and Scripting Rules, with instant testing, version control, and full audit trails. No coding required for business teams; full REST API access for developers. AI, on a deterministic engine. DecisionRules puts AI on top of a stateless evaluation engine, so what AI helps you build still runs the same way every time, versioned and auditable. The AI Assistant works inside the editor to draft, test, and explain Decision Tables in plain language, and reduces rule authoring time by around 60%. The AI Agent is a native rule type that reads documents and narratives and returns structured, typed output. Through the native MCP integration, connect DecisionRules to the AI tools your team already uses. Flexible deployment. Public cloud, private managed cloud, or self-hosted. Available on AWS Marketplace and Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Industry applications: financial services (credit decisioning, loan origination, fraud and risk, KYC/AML), insurance (underwriting, claims, fraud), e-commerce (dynamic pricing), manufacturing (pricing, quoting), telecommunications (offers, eligibility), healthcare (eligibility and benefits rules), logistics (routing, capacity), aviation, and government (benefits, compliance). Frequently Asked Questions: Who uses DecisionRules? Enterprise architects, engineers, and business teams, across financial services, insurance, e-commerce, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, telecommunications, and government. They automate credit scoring, pricing, underwriting, claims, fraud and risk checks, and compliance workflows. Does DecisionRules require coding? No coding is required for business teams to build and manage rules with Decision Tables and Decision Trees. Developers can use Scripting Rules and the REST API for advanced integrations. How does DecisionRules use AI? AI works on top of the deterministic engine, so results stay versioned and auditable. The AI Assistant helps build, test, and explain Decision Tables in plain language. The AI Agent reads documents and returns structured output. Through MCP, DecisionRules connects to the AI tools your team already uses. Is DecisionRules secure? DecisionRules holds SOC 2 and is ISO 27001 certified, with role-based access control, audit logging, and encryption at rest and in transit.

## DecisionRules Reviews
  ### 1. DecisionRules Nails the Balance Between User-Friendly UI and Powerful Logic

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jannik William F. | Enterprise Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

It’s not easy to build a user-friendly UI while still retaining the necessary complexity of decision rules. I think DecisionRules gets this balance just right. We have SMEs who can understand the logic and make adjustments as needed, while developers can extend it and enable a great level of detail.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

I can’t think of anything we dislike about the product. That said, the level of complexity it offers means you need a clear idea of how you plan to use the platform, how you’ll integrate it with other data systems, and how variables and parameters should be managed.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us significantly more structure and the ability to adjust our business processes, risk profiles, and similar areas at a much faster pace. This also means we can scale up or down as needed, depending on market conditions.

  ### 2. User-Friendly and Highly Integrative, But Needs Better Debugging Tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jagat Vikas D. | Software Dev Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

I like how DecisionRules solves offer discount values without needing to update the code repeatedly. It's easy to use for the business team thanks to its simple UI, which allows non-tech people to manage it effortlessly. I appreciate the ease of integration using the APIs it provides. The platform's simplicity, with button clicks and drag-and-drop features, makes it easy for non-tech users to implement complex business rules and offers. Plus, it supports import and export for similar rule creation. Onboarding was straightforward, just a simple API setup, and you're ready to go.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

It would be great if debugging the complex conditions we create can be made easier. Sometimes it's difficult to find the debugging tools DecisionRules provides, forcing non-tech users to explore the platform and invest more time. This could have been improved if a demo video or walk-through could have been provided to the users, when it starts or tries to debug.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DecisionRules to manage offer discount values without frequent code updates, making dynamic offer management easy. Its simple UI is great for non-tech users, allowing them to implement complex business rules with ease through API integration.

  ### 3. Reliable Decision-Making with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael P. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

I like that DecisionRules provides a quick way to create and iterate on promotional rules, which enables faster delivery. For technical users like me, it's simple to understand and work with. I find the API to be very reliable and never had any issues regarding availability. The support is also pretty great; we had an issue with rules performance and received all the help we needed to fix it.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

One major selling point for us was the ability to offload some of the configuration to non-technical users. Although it supports export/import via Excel, the generated output wasn't user-friendly for everyone.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DecisionRules for quickly creating and iterating on promotional rules, speeding up delivery. It helps apply complex promotional rules and verify user eligibility for discounts.

  ### 4. Empowers Business Users for Agile Credit Decisioning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mauricio B.

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

I appreciate that DecisionRules is easy to learn and work with for developing production-ready solutions. It's user-friendly for business users to maintain and optimize their decision-making processes, which allows for rapid iterations and quick reactions to changing circumstances. I also value its flexibility to integrate with multiple data sources and fit into an existing tech environment. The fact that it allows business users to make changes directly in the decisioning flow makes the process much more agile and less costly. Getting started with DecisionRules was very easy for me.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

Some elements of the decisioning process could be more easily implemented through coding by a developer, but allowing business users to manage the rules is a worthwhile tradeoff. I also think it would be useful to allow users to easily search context-appropriate templates or get support from an LLM for steps like setting thresholds for population segmentation, which can be laborious if done manually.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used DecisionRules to quickly build consumer a proof-of-concept credit decisioning flow, with focus on automated decisioning for consumer credit including risk-based pricing. It allowed me to assess how it would work in practice, covering the different steps of lending decisioning. Having a solution which allows business users to maintain and optimize processes directly can save time and reduce mistakes.

  ### 5. Clean, Modern UI and a Blazing-Fast Rule Engine for Decision Tables

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jiří . | Business Innovation Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

The clean, modern UI and the sheer speed of the Rule Engine stand out. It’s incredibly satisfying to take a messy set of business requirements and turn them into a structured, executable Decision Table in minutes. The built-in versioning also gives us huge peace of mind.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

I’d love to see even more pre-built templates for specific industries to speed up the initial setup even further. That said, the tool is so flexible that building from scratch isn't a major hurdle.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’ve eliminated "black box" logic. Before DecisionRules, our business logic was buried in code that only a few people understood. Now, we have a visual source of truth that anyone on the team can audit. It has transformed our workflow from a slow, back-and-forth process into a collaborative, agile environment.

  ### 6. High-Performance Rule Engine for Agile Product Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zuzana L. | bc., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

The performance and reliability are excellent. The platform handles complex calculations and high-volume requests without any noticeable lag. I also appreciate the "Sandbox" environment, which allows us to safely experiment with new rule sets before they go live.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

The notification system for rule changes could be more robust. It would be helpful to have more granular options for email or Slack alerts whenever a specific rule is modified or published to ensure everyone stays in the loop.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the headache of hard-coded business logic that is difficult to change. By using DecisionRules, we have decoupled our business logic from our core code, allowing our product team to pivot strategies in minutes rather than waiting for the next engineering sprint.

  ### 7. A Powerful Tool for Complex Logic and Rapid Updates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jiří . | research and developt, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

The visual rule designer is the standout feature. It’s verz satisfying to see complex business logic laid out clearly in tables or trees. The testing environment is also top-notch, allowing us to validate our logic with sample data before pushing anything to production.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

The platform is updated so frequently with new features that it can be hard to keep up with all the new capabilities. It's a "good problem" to have, though, as the product is constantly evolving for the better.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has completely removed the bottleneck in our deployment pipeline. Instead of waiting for a bi-weekly sprint to update a simple business rule, our operations team can make changes independently and securely. This shift has turned our technical team into enablers rather than gatekeepers.

  ### 8. Visual Rule Designer and Make Complex logov

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

  ### 9. Decision Rules Streamlined Policy Evaluation with Clear, Visual Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan José H. | Tech Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

Decision Rules helped us streamline the evaluation of multiple policies using the same input data, in a way that our Product and Business teams could visually understand which policies were being evaluated. It has been a big help for visibility and overall clarity.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

The onboarding process and overall learning curve can feel a bit complicated, especially if you haven’t used this kind of tool before.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It streamlines the evaluation of different policies without having to code them, decouples business rules from the core logic, and lets the business team visualize and adjust those rules as needed.

  ### 10. Powerful Visual Designer That Democratizes Decision-Making

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lukáš K. | Product Owner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

I love how it democratizes decision-making. The visual designer is incredibly powerful, making it easy to see exactly how logic flows. Plus, the seamless integration via REST API meant we were up and running in almost no time.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

The UI is packed with features, so it can feel a little overwhelming for a brand-new user for the first hour or so. However, once you get the hang of the workspace organization, it’s very efficient.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with "logic silos" where only developers knew how decisions were made. DecisionRules provides a centralized "source of truth" for our business rules. This transparency has eliminated communication gaps between our dev and business teams, saving us dozens of hours every month.

  ### 11. Powerful No-Code Decision Logic That Speeds Up Development Top service.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Petr N. | Obchodní manažer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

Its biggest strength is the no-code/low-code approach. You can build fairly complex decision logic without writing traditional code, which keeps it accessible for non-developers while still flexible enough for more technical users. In practice, this can speed up development and reduce reliance on engineering teams.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

The permission management system is very granular, which is great for security. That said, it took us a little time to get everything set up just right and to configure the different user roles for our large team.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DecisionRules addresses a common issue in many companies: decision logic ends up buried in code, which makes it difficult to manage and slow to update when changes are needed.

  ### 12. DecisionRules is the product you need, even though you might not know it yet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

The auditability and versioning model are foundational for operating in a regulated environment. We have full traceability of every rule change, including authorship and intent, and the ability to perform immediate rollbacks materially reduces risk during iteration. From a runtime perspective, the Solver API has been deterministic and stable under load, with no observed latency variance or unexpected behavior.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

The dashboard experience, while intentionally flexible, is initially under-opinionated. This results in additional upfront effort to establish meaningful observability. A set of preconfigured views or default telemetry widgets for rule execution and usage would accelerate time-to-value and reduce the need for custom setup.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It eliminates fragmented and implicit business logic across the organization. Previously, decision-making was distributed across spreadsheets and ad hoc processes, creating inconsistency and audit gaps. By centralizing logic behind a single, versioned API surface, we’ve established a canonical decision layer. This enforces consistency, simplifies compliance, and removes entire classes of human error associated with manual execution.

  ### 13. DecisionRules Bridges Tech and Business with Fast, Reliable Control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

DecisionRules helped us move a lot of logic out of code and into a place where business people can actually work with it. That alone saved us a lot of back and forth between teams.

What I like most is how it bridges the gap between tech and business. It’s fast, reliable, and gives us much more control over our processes.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

The UI could be a bit more intuitive in some areas, but overall, the value we’re getting far outweighs that.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Too much logic in code was slowing us down. DecisionRules let our business team manage it directly, which made everything faster and more scalable.

  ### 14. Simplifies Complex Logic, Needs More Flexibility

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shantanu D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

I use DecisionRules to build and manage complex business logic without coding, which allows me to update and manage decision logic instantly. I like that it eliminates messy, scattered decision logic and makes it easy to update rules without code. The initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

Limited flexibility for highly complex or edge case logic without additional customization.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DecisionRules to build and manage complex business logic without coding, eliminating messy, scattered decision logic and making rule updates easy.

At this time, I don't really have any negative feedback regarding Decision Rules

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find that DecisionRules really helps with our auditing and complaince processes and that is a huge benefit saving both time and money across the org.

  ### 19. Empowering No-Code Platform, But Pricing Needs Flexibility

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

No-code or low-code. For those not skilled with developing, it makes it possible to create and manage without writing code.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

Unclear and high pricing. Sometimes the costs aren't flexible enough for small teams.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

API integrations, creating business logic without writing code, and help with smart automations

  ### 20. A Great Tool, But Takes Some Getting Used To

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aditya S. | Management Team Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2024

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

I really like how DecisionRules lets us make complicated decision trees and rules without needing to code. It's made our business processes a lot easier. The visual rule builder is pretty easy to use, and I love that we can test and fix rules right away. The API works smoothly, so it's been easy to add decision logic to our current systems.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

Even though DecisionRules is really powerful, it can be a bit much for beginners. The learning curve is tougher than I thought, and some of my team found it hard to catch on. The documentation is thorough, but it could use more practical examples and real-world cases. Sometimes, I've noticed it slows down when dealing with a lot of rules, which can be annoying when we're on tight schedules. Also, the pricing seems a bit stiff - it would be great if there were more flexible options for smaller teams or projects.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DecisionRules helps us solve a few major headaches. For starters, it speeds up our decision-making by automating a lot of the work, so we’re not stuck doing everything manually. This gives us more time to focus on the important stuff. Plus, it helps cut down on mistakes because the rules we set up make sure everything runs smoothly and consistently. It also plays nice with our existing systems, so we didn’t have to overhaul everything to make it work. In the end, it’s saving us time, reducing errors, and making our team a lot more productive.

**Official Response from Andrej Poleščuk:**

> Dear Aditya,

Thank you for your review and for providing such detailed feedback. We are glad to hear that the visual rule builder and API integration have made your business processes easier and that you are finding value in our testing capabilities.

We understand that the learning curve can be steep initially. We recommend visiting our DecisionRules Academy (https://academy.decisionrules.io), which provides information to help new team members get up to speed faster. Additionally, we have introduced a library of practical templates (https://www.decisionrules.io/en/templates/) that can serve as excellent real-world examples to help you get started. We also take your note on the documentation seriously and will work on adding more practical examples there as well.

Regarding the performance slowdown you mentioned when dealing with a large number of rules, we would like to investigate this specific case to ensure the tool runs smoothly for you. Please send us an email describing the problem in detail so our technical team can analyze the issue.

Finally, regarding pricing, we have recently updated our pricing structure to offer more flexibility. You can view our latest public cloud pricing here: https://www.decisionrules.io/en/pricing/public-cloud/?currency=EUR. For smaller teams or specific project requirements, our Premium plan often allows for a more tailored approach. Please contact us at sales@decisionrules.io, and we would be happy to discuss a quote that fits your specific needs.

Best regards,

The DecisionRules Team

  ### 21. It is very helpfull tools in my organization.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit kumar B. | Product Data Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2024

**What do you like best about DecisionRules?**

I like the ability to change rules and integration within very little time. also, the user interface and all the various flows that we can create using DR. It has all the necessary functions, so we can easily write rules and ratings in the DR and within minutes we have the API of those rules, It helps a lot to any organization and its very effective in terms changing any rules in the future.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

Although there are lots of positive things regarding DecisionRule there are some areas I think DR may become better.
1. when we are making rules of many lines it becomes a tedious job to bulk copy and make duplicate rules so that we can write the rule very quickly within the interface, although if we export the rule file as an Excel file and then we can make the changes much faster but importing the rules again create a new rule with a new rule id that requires changes in our integration in backend if we are consuming this API from backend.

2. Although there is a feature to call external calls from rules the limitations are too small in terms of input and output size making the feature useless sometimes.

I've been using DR for more than 2 years and believe me I don't have any other dislikes than these two, although they provide customized plans in that plan probably they will allow large-size input/output from external classes.

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In an organization, some rules may change frequently in the future, so they must require a tool like DecisionRule to make their business rules and pricing so that it can be changed anytime and within very little time. That is what DecisionRule is providing.

  ### 22. Simply superb

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anurag R. | senior chat process executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I found it very useful Saas solution till date. Using till date and simply perfect till nowww. Very easy to use, and implementation is good as always. Customer support as it best. Using it daily and integration is superb.

**What do you dislike about DecisionRules?**

For now, I did not find anything wrong/disliked in it. How come someone dislikes it that is why question?

**What problems is DecisionRules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using this while decision-making about my company and while using to make some perfect decision that makes my company best. Honestly, sometimes I am very dependable on it. While using this I found it very useful in order to maintain decision making As we all know a decision making is very hard when we find to solution almost equal then we need something which will compare in small points and give us the right one so here you can find it. I have multiple things to share here but anyone who find my review will understand the importance of this.
