DearEmployee
DearEmployee is a workplace mental health platform that helps employers measure, analyze, and act on psychological work conditions. The platform combines scientifically validated employee surveys with AI-driven analytics and an integrated marketplace of qualified health and coaching providers. Founded as a spin-off from Freie Universität Berlin, DearEmployee serves 800+ companies across the DACH region, from mid-market enterprises to DAX-listed corporations. More than 60,000 employees have been surveyed using the platform. In Germany, all employers are legally required to conduct a psychological risk assessment (Gefährdungsbeurteilung psychischer Belastung, or GBpsych) under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (§ 5f. ArbSchG). DearEmployee turns this compliance requirement into a strategic tool for improving retention, reducing absenteeism, and strengthening employee well-being. How it works: DearEmployee follows a three-step approach — Measure, Analyze, Act. Measure: Run scientifically validated, industry-specific employee surveys covering work conditions, health, motivation, and commitment. Surveys are anonymous and can be deployed across teams, departments, or the entire organization. Analyze: Algorithms identify resources, potentials, and risks per team. Managers receive prioritized action fields with clear recommendations — no data science expertise required. Act: Book qualified interventions directly from the platform. The integrated marketplace connects companies with providers for psychosocial counseling, leadership coaching, workshops, and organizational development measures — matched to actual survey results. Key capabilities: Legally compliant GBpsych execution with automated documentation Individualized health recommendations based on personal risk profiles Workplace analytics integrating KPIs such as absenteeism, turnover, and productivity Anonymous employee counseling for any work-related challenge Results-based coaching for managers Automated effectiveness evaluation to track whether interventions work Who uses DearEmployee: HR leaders, occupational health managers, works councils, and C-level executives at companies that want to move beyond one-off engagement surveys and connect employee feedback to concrete action. DearEmployee is used across industries including automotive, insurance, manufacturing, public sector, and technology. Research foundation: The DearEmployee method was developed in collaboration with Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and other research institutions. The methodology is continuously validated and refined based on ongoing academic partnerships.
