If you are going to implement a very complex playbook make sure you are working with your sales reps, meet DealHub team and share the plan with them. We have a pretty complex pricing and quoting structure. We are still in the implementation phase, but thus far during the implementation process the team has been very hands on. While there have been a few instances where the dealhub team had to work offline (i.e. not during our live work sessions) to sort through the best way to solve our unique structure, the solution and how they came to it was explained during the next session. I can appreciate practices like this, which ensure that the admins of the system moving forward understand how complex problems are solved for.

As a Sales Engineer, it becomes very orgenized and easy for me to track my piplines and on going queue. My managment don't need to ask quesitons, they can easily get notifications & alerts from the DealStream. We sometimes have a very tough clients that need few quotes in parallel and sometimes we need to find a workaround to customize the default templates. We can do it since the playbook is extremly customizied but in some cases we need the CSM's help which are always there to help our team and streamline our business. Unlike traditional applications, it enables us to configure the tool ourselves easily and reduces the dependency on any one individual or the service provider themselves. At first we grumbled that the user is not able to copy /paste a predefined list of items into the proposal. But in fact, Dealhub showed us that way of working is so old school; together with Ran we were now thinking of new ways to create quotes with packages and bundles and automatically added accessories to a selected product! Of course, this is a much better and future proof solution and offers far more possibilities in the end than a static list you copy over and over again.

The customization is sometimes the curse with Dealhub. You need to be careful to understand every odd way a sales person/CSM could possibly try to configure a contract but at the same time institute strict rules to keep contract creation in alignment with the rules of the business. There's sometimes hiccups when these "rules" are fluid and you need to get around them for the right prospect/customer because unique terms were offered to that account. DealHub.io has been an absolute game changer for our company. Our proposals and quotes look better, make sense to our clients, and are more accurate than before. With the flexibility and ease of configuration we're able to turn on a dime, often loading new products or making changes in minutes or hours to meet the demands of the sales team and our customers.
Our CSM and the DealHub team have been very supportive helping educate and enable us throughout our deployment. Day one, we launched with a completely new quoting tool that supported new customer quoting and renewals/downgrades of existing customers through DealHub subscription management.

There is a steep learning curve to overcome when initially using Dealhub. whilst the error messages may assist in pointing to the issue.
