**What do you like best about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?**

What I like best about dbForge Studio for SQL Server is how it dramatically enhances productivity and code quality in day-to-day database development. The intelligent code completion and smart suggestions are fast, context-aware, and help reduce syntax errors, especially when working in complex schemas.

I also really appreciate the visual query builder, which makes constructing and optimizing queries much easier — particularly for complex joins or when collaborating with less experienced team members. The built-in SQL formatter and code snippets help enforce consistent standards across the team and speed up development.

Another highlight is the comprehensive database management tools — schema compare, data compare/sync, and backup/restore utilities are all integrated into one interface, which saves time and reduces the need to switch between different tools.

Overall, dbForge Studio feels like an all-in-one environment that makes SQL Server development faster, cleaner, and more enjoyable.

**What do you dislike about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?**

Licensing cost may be high compared to free tools like SSMS

Some features take time to discover and configure

**What do you like best about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?**

As a long time user of SSMS, I was looking for addons for it to help me with my tasks. I tried Studio for SQL Server and found it easier to maintain instead of SSMS with multiple addons. It has a lot of nice tools integrated into it such as code completion with formatting, good import/export functions, etc. I like the dark mode as well.

**What do you dislike about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?**

It has bugs. Plenty of those. I've reported them and some of them have been resolved, so they do listen for feedback, which is nice. And it seems that it should work better with a SQL Server instead of the Azure SQL databases I'm using it with.

**What problems is dbForge Studio for SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data export and import is great. Code completion and formatting helps me and my team mate in creating uniform code.

dbForge Studio for SQL Server is an SQL management platform used to process and perform various operations in our DB servers such as data replication, transaction logs, record merge, backup snapshot, etc. It implements mirroring in which we can maintain our SQL Server copy in another server. Also, it provides high-availability recovery solutions to overcome application ramp-down shortcomings.

It provides a superb recovery model in which my database properties are logged adequately in its transactional log whether I perform simple load, bulk load, or full load. Nothing to dislike about dbForge Studio for our SQL servers.

**What problems is dbForge Studio for SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We require insights to understand better on what's happening in our SQL Server, and dbForge studio provides those feasibilites. It is a great platform that can effectively track and troubleshoot performance issues and help with our database administration. Its Dynamic Management Views has 2 capabilities in which one is DMF that is a function-based utility, and DMO is an object-based utility. It also gives me comfort by enabling the issue of queries in its utility against my enterprise server to manage objects within my application.

Some features that would work fine in SQL Svr Mgt Studio may have bugs in dbForge after updates. Although infrequent, it can be quite vexing to encounter.

**Recommendations to others considering dbForge Studio for SQL Server:**

They have a trial, get it and give it a go. If you decide to buy the product, I'd recommend the 3 year license since it is substantially less overall in cost.

**What problems is dbForge Studio for SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needed additional tools to perform LINTING on SQL scripts and perform DIFF checks for code reviews.
A faster way to generate test data was also needed and the Enterprise edition of this product does that surprisingly well.
It was a nice bonus that this product also allowed export of query data to file in more formats than SSMS allowed.
