## DBeaver Reviews
  ### 1. Efficient Database Management with Multi-Database Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravindra N. | SDET - 2, Oil & Energy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I really like DBeaver's multidatabase support and data exploration capabilities. Being able to work with different database systems using a single tool makes my daily database operations much more efficient. The multidatabase connectivity allows me to manage PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and other databases all from one interface. The SQL editor is powerful, making query writing, formatting, and execution very convenient. Navigating through databases, schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships is straightforward and easy to understand. I also find the data filtering, sorting, and searching features very helpful during troubleshooting and validation. The export and import options simplify data analysis and reporting tasks. As someone involved in QA and backend validation, the data browsing experience is particularly valuable for investigating bugs or verifying application behavior. The biggest benefit for me is the productivity boost it provides by combining powerful database management capabilities with an intuitive interface.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I think the performance really slows down when working with very large datasets or extremely complex queries. Also, the tool offers a lot of functionality, which increases the learning curve for beginners. A more streamlined onboarding experience would make adoption easier for new team members.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DBeaver to manage multiple databases through a single interface, making data validation and troubleshooting faster. It simplifies connecting to various database technologies, saving time and enhancing productivity without needing multiple tools.

  ### 2. One Interface for Every Database : Solid SQL Editor and ER Diagrams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivam G. | Software Developer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

What genuinely stands out with DBeaver is how many databases it handles from a single interface. Whether you are working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB or even something like Cassandra, you do not need to switch tools. The SQL editor is solid and the autocomplete actually understands your schema which saves a lot of time when writing complex queries. I also use the ER diagram view fairly often when jumping into an unfamiliar database, it gives you a quick visual of how tables relate without having to piece it together manually. And the fact that the community edition is completely free and still covers most day to day needs is honestly hard to beat.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

The performance can get sluggish when you are working with large datasets or running heavy queries, and sometimes the UI freezes for a few seconds which breaks your flow. Connection drops when the session has been idle for a while is another thing that comes up more than it should. The interface also has a bit of a cluttered feeling, there are a lot of panels and settings and it can feel overwhelming if you are new to it. The fact that NoSQL and cloud databases like Redshift or BigQuery are locked behind the paid Pro version is also a bit frustrating when you are used to having everything available for free. SSH tunnel setup in particular has a noticeable learning curve that the documentation does not always make easier.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before DBeaver I was using different clients for different databases which meant constant context switching and maintaining multiple tools. That created a lot of friction especially when a project touched both a relational and a NoSQL database at the same time. Now everything lives in one place and I can query, compare schemas and transfer data across databases without leaving the tool. The visual query builder in Pro also helped team members who were less comfortable with raw SQL get their work done faster. I would estimate it saves me at least 30 to 45 minutes a day just from not having to juggle multiple clients and environments.

  ### 3. All in one database tool that improves productivity and simplifies workflow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swarnima G. | Senior SAP Commerce Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

What I like best about DBeaver is how easy it makes working with multiple databases in one place. Instead of switching between different tools, everything is available in a single interface, which really improves daily workflow.

The UI is clean and practical, and once you get used to it, navigating through tables, queries, and schemas feels straightforward. It is not flashy, but it is efficient, which is what matters most for database work.

Integration support is another strong point. It works with a wide range of databases, so it fits well into different projects without needing extra tools. This flexibility saves a lot of setup time.

Performance is generally solid even when working with large datasets. Query execution and browsing data feels smooth in most cases, which helps when working under time pressure.

From a pricing and ROI perspective, the free version already offers a lot of value. It covers most daily needs without requiring an upgrade, which makes it a cost effective choice for individuals and teams.

Support and onboarding are decent, and while it is not heavily guided, the tool is intuitive enough that most things can be figured out quickly with basic experience.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

One thing I do not like about DBeaver is that the interface can feel a bit cluttered at times. There are many options and panels available, which is powerful, but it can also make it harder to quickly find what you need, especially for new users.

Another challenge is performance when working with very large datasets. It generally works well, but in some cases scrolling through big tables or running heavy queries can feel slower compared to lighter tools, which can affect productivity a bit during peak work.

The onboarding experience could also be smoother. While the tool is flexible, it does not always guide new users through advanced features, so there is a bit of trial and error involved in the beginning.

From an integration perspective, it supports many databases, which is great, but setting up certain connections sometimes requires extra configuration steps that are not immediately obvious.

Overall, it is a very capable tool, but a bit more simplicity in the UI and improved performance consistency would make the experience even better.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using DBeaver, working with different databases meant switching between multiple tools depending on the system. It slowed things down and made it harder to keep a consistent workflow across projects.

With DBeaver, everything is now in one place. It supports multiple database types in a single interface, so it is much easier to run queries, compare data, and manage schemas without constantly changing tools. This has saved a noticeable amount of time during daily work, especially when handling multiple environments at once.

Query execution and data browsing are also more efficient now. Tasks that used to take extra steps or tool switching can be done directly in one workspace, which has improved overall productivity and reduced friction in development and analysis work.

It has also helped reduce dependency on multiple paid tools since the free version already covers most use cases. Overall, it has simplified database management and made day to day work more organized and faster.

  ### 4. Streamlining Database Workflows with DBeaver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arjun D. | QA Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

What I like most about DBeaver is how it lets me work with multiple databases in one place through a clean, intuitive UI. I regularly rely on the SQL editor, especially the auto-completion and query execution history, which make writing, troubleshooting, and debugging queries much faster. The data viewer is also very useful for quickly reviewing and analyzing table data without having to write additional queries.

I also find the connection management features valuable, since they make it easy to set up and manage database connections and switch between different environments without any hassle. Overall, DBeaver improves my workflow by keeping database testing, validation, and data analysis more efficient, organized, and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

One downside is that DBeaver can feel slow or resource-heavy, especially when working with large datasets or multiple connections. Sometimes the UI becomes slightly cluttered, making navigation a bit confusing for new users. Additionally, advanced features and configurations can have a learning curve, which may take time to get used to.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DBeaver solves the problem of managing and querying multiple databases from a single platform. It allows me to easily write, execute, and debug SQL queries while also providing a clear view of table data and database structure. This benefits me by saving time, reducing dependency on multiple tools, and making data validation and analysis more efficient during testing.

DBeaver can feel a bit laggy at times, and it tends to slow down even more when I’m working with large datasets.

On the plus side, setup in DBeaver has been pretty easy for me, with no issues there. The only thing I haven’t really tried yet is the AI features, so I can’t say how useful they are for real day-to-day work.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DBeaver removes the hassle of juggling multiple database tools by bringing everything into one place. I can connect to different databases, run queries, and review data easily, which saves me a lot of time. It also speeds up debugging and data validation, which is especially helpful during testing, analysis, or general troubleshooting.

  ### 6. It makes database management easier, but performance can be slow.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I really like the multi-data and data exploration capabilities of DBeaver. With this single tool, I can manage SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. It makes SQL and query writing easy, provides the facility to easily store tables, schemes, and relationships. Data filtering, sorting, and searching can be done very effectively. Export and import features are very useful during data analysis. The most valuable thing is that you don't have to switch between different tools repeatedly for data-based validation and distribution, which makes data verification or issue investigation during QA much faster and easier.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Yes, overall DBeaver has been quite good, but there are some areas where improvement is needed, such as when working with very large datasets or complex queries, the performance sometimes feels slow. For beginners, the interface can be a bit complex because there are a lot of options and features available. Resource consumption also feels quite high, especially during large performances.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DBeaver for data validation services, which makes it easy to manage different databases with a single tool. It reduces troubleshooting time for QA and development teams and makes managing complex queries easier.

  ### 7. Great for Managing Multiple Databases with Handy Tabbed Queries

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I like that it can manage multiple databases at the same time. I also like the tabbed queries, which make it easier to keep several queries open and switch between them.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

The UI feels cumbersome for a new user. I’m sure DBeaver can do many things that I just haven’t found yet, mainly because I find the help guides difficult to learn from. It also loses connection to my various databases, and the only way I’ve been able to restore it is by restarting the app.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets me work across several databases at the same time. I can run multiple queries without having to open separate apps, which keeps everything in one place. The ability to copy, paste, and sort the query results is also very helpful when I’m trying to find specific pieces of data.

  ### 8. Feature-Rich, Versatile Database Client for Developers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaurang A. | Full Stack Developer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

DBeaver is a robust, open-source database client that offers excellent usability for developers and data engineers working with multiple databases. Its greatest asset is the extensive range of features it provides. The tool supports nearly all major databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and MongoDB, all within a single application. Setting it up is straightforward: installation is easy, establishing connections is fast, and the user interface remains consistent regardless of the database type. Backend developers who work with databases daily will find themselves using DBeaver frequently. Additionally, its free and cross-platform nature is a significant benefit.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

The interface often feels heavy and cluttered, particularly for newcomers, which affects the overall user experience and ease of use. When working with very large schemas or complex queries, performance can suffer. Additionally, certain advanced features, such as cloud integrations and enterprise-level security options, are only available in the paid edition. For those using the free version, customer support is primarily community-driven, which might not meet the requirements of enterprise users.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DBeaver addresses the challenge of handling multiple database technologies by providing a unified tool. Rather than having to learn and install separate clients for each database, developers are able to connect to, query, and manage different databases all from a single interface. **What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I use DBeaver to query my Postgres database across various environments. I find it solves the problem of having to save queries explicitly, and I'm impressed with the connection manager. I really like how I can define a database connection based on the environment and customize it with different configurations, such as enabling auto commit or selecting IDE colors. I also like that the query editor files auto-save. Another reason I switched to DBeaver from pgAdmin is the auto commit feature and the reliability and ease of maintaining different environment connections, which was a big reason for the switch.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I won't say that it doesn't do well, but can be improved is the auto reload of databases once a new DB is created on any environment. The initial setup was a little bit challenging, as it was not very easy to understand until I did not review the documentation.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 23. Durable, feature rich and simply all in one database tool to manage multiple databases.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash T. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2024

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

There are several things which I like about DBeaver. First is its resource utilization, yes, when trying to access a huge database on a low resource maching, many of the database tools in my case failed, however I was able to access those databases with the help of Dbeaver. Secondly,I like that I can manage multiple databases, all at the same place, I primarily use SQLite as well as Postgres and sometimes MySQL as well, and I can access all of those databases at the same place itself. I can also connect to the same DBMS with different databases and make use of multiple databases all at the same time. The database connection is also at the file level, so I can segregate the queries. Also, the most useful feature for me is how I can import SQL Scripts folder in the project menu, this helps me to quickly access pre-written scripts and get started and finished with the repetitive tasks as quickly as possible.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

The only thing I dislike, is the time it sometimes takes to query the database, it takes much longer sometimes, where I have to wait for a long time to get the results because the data is just getting queried, apart from this performance aspect, there is nothing much which I dislike about dbeaver.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I primarily make use of DBeaver while developing applications. I work on applications which work with postgres primarily and therefore when I want to debug something on the database level, I have written queries which I run in DBeaver which helps me get a better idea of how data is working at the application level. Secondly, if I want to find if the issue is in a particular environment, I can quickly switch from one environment database to other while being in the same file, so I don't have to copy and paste the query over and again and can simply switch and debug my application. Apart from this, I can also export the data in multiple formats and ways, this is a very useful feature as I can duplicate the dump of data in multiple environments and can take up backup before performing any operations on production database as well.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paco V. | Coordinador de tecnología, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

The best thing about dbeaver as a tool is how complete it is. Besides the fact that it is multiplatform. In my case I usually work on Linux, but sometimes I have to work on Windows. I can export my configurations and connections and have them updated on both platforms. On the other hand it has the ability to customize the results that is highly visual, besides allowing fast navigation between relational tables.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

Perhaps the design has become a bit outdated. It should start introducing AI in queries and results, as other tools are starting to do. This could provide a bonus.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DBeaver allows you to manage multiple database connections from different vendors in a single tool. It also allows you to visualize the results in a customized way so that you can check the data you are looking for at a glance. It also allows me to perform CRUM easily.

The thing i dislike about it is the connection keeps breaking every 1 mintue if left idel. I use postgres and if no wuery has been made, it disconnect the forwarded port

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team has hosted the database on server for the product, now to work on it, i dont need to write complex syntax on cmd. I make connection on DBeaver and use my database and tables, it provides a good Ui to interact with it aswell. It saves the queries that i make which is a big plus for the next time when i use it again.

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2024

**What do you like best about DBeaver?**

I had used DBeaver for around 2.8 years and it is the best database tool for me. I have connected multiple databases in a single application. No need to install multiple applications for different databases. It is very easy to implement. Query processing is very fast. Even it shows the ER diagram for the entities having relations with other tables. I have not faced many issues, but still they have quick responsive customer support. I can contact them through email. I have used DBeaver for the numbers of my project. It is also very easy to integrate with my database credentials. It has made my job of reading data very convenient.

**What do you dislike about DBeaver?**

I have faced the issue sometimes with importing and exporting data cause it takes much longer time to process and functions are a bit difficult to understand. Sometimes it also fails in between. When I open two instances of the DBeaver then it shows an error, which I think can be resolved by the owner. I also wish it had an option to export the ER diagram. DBeaver releases very frequent updates, sometimes it causes problems after installation.

**What problems is DBeaver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has a multiplatform database support tool, which is the best thing for me. Easy to add new database connections and no need to download drivers separately, it downloads by itself. It is very user-friendly. It has also a great session manager.
