**What do you like best about ECI Davisware?**

The Davisware implemention team under Justin Maneti has been a huge role in the success of mreging to a new system. We were running 2-4 different systems between divisions and now that we are all in the same system we can seemlessly move inner company work and have all AR/AP in one spot. Reporting has been huge for us as well. You won't find a better team than this!

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

The biggest complaint we have it the system forces you to gro from start to finish and not "fix" things on the back end. However this is not a downside at all, just keeps us honest and everybody doing the same motions!

**What problems is ECI Davisware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working in multi systems, GE has been able to allow us to run reports with a few clicks of a button, without dumping to excel and merging all reports together. It also allows us to track the tech KPI which is vital for our line of work. We are also able to organize out work flow for all divisions.

**What do you like best about ECI Davisware?**

I like the ease of setting up customer accounts, work orders, and posting parts to jobs. The search functions are nice. There is usally a few ways of doing things, so if one doesn't work, I can usually figure out another way to complete something within a work order or report. There are many reports available, but some are limited.

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

While there are many reports available, they are often inaccurate or show no information at all. This might be user error, but we were not given much guidance when we started with Davisware, so it has really been a lot of "figure it out as we go". It seems like there are a lot of features we could be utilizing, but just don't know how or don't know what information to put in to make them function in a usable way for our company. 
In addition, there are some functions that turn into roadblocks for us. Many times our jobs switch between bids and time & materials, and the work orders are not flexible to support that as we would like.

**What problems is ECI Davisware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping customer information readily available and work history organized.

**What do you like best about ECI Davisware?**

Zendesk Support for their SOP catalog is alot of information for the user to learn about the software. There are great video SOP and written SOP to determine how to implement new processes for efficiency. Justin Tang and Justin Mantei are very savvy with the Davisware system and can be a great resource for the software. System works for Construction and Service which can be hard to find a system to support.

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

Software has limitations for the user. When trying to implement new features they offer you tend to run into glitches. When this happens it can take weeks and months to get to the bottom of the issue. You find yourself doing workaround to get something done. If not properly trained when software implemented then you will spend years cleaning it up.

**What problems is ECI Davisware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time Import tool into Davisware which is saving several hours a week .

It's a web-based system that anyone of our distributors or service agents can use to file warranty claims.  The system is basic and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

The new layout.  The new layout still does not follow warranty rules that were previously set nor does it allow for all claims to be reopened.  There were several other things, in the new layout, that do not work correctly, that I have since, created a work around.  When speaking with a Davisware advisor about my concerns, I found I knew more about how Global Warranty works then he did.

**What problems is ECI Davisware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Global Warranty has improved the rate claims are processed and managed.  Our warranty department is better organized with Global Warranty.

The people are fantastic and easy to work with.

Sometimes, getting quick turn around is a challenge.  Documentation has certainly improved, it just provides the surface and doesn't always cover indepth real world situations.

**What problems is ECI Davisware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better integrations with XOi, and other 3rd party tools and vendors which all affect the business on a daily basis.  The move to FortisPay will hopefully solve our outstanding PCI needs.

**What do you like best about ECI Davisware?**

I love how easy it is to schedule and assign tickets, as well as pull up past work and information about a customer. You're able to put as much or as little detail as you like to help stay organized for future jobs. All of our techs are able to pull up previous jobs for a customer or notes from an open ticket so that they're prepared when they go into the field. Total game changer!

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

If I could change one thing about Davisware, I would include a drag and drop option on the D board to change the order of tickets on a tech's schedule instead of having to edit the time slot. Other than that, its fantastic!

**What problems is ECI Davisware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Davisware is helping us stay organized as a business by streamlining the invoicing process. The work queues automatically move the tickets down the line where they can be invoiced in a timely manner which helps us stay moving forward instead of searching for tickets that have already been completed.

**What do you like best about ECI Davisware?**

Davisware delivers a lot of very usesful info for running the business. It also let you get very detailed with the info you can imput into the system. The overall system works great but could use some improving to make it easier to use.

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

Getting to the info is time consuming. The transactions dont link together very well. Techs should have a web base login and  app. We use computers as manufacture in the restaurant industury require downloads to install on pieces of equipment.  The davisware accounts payable and transfer into quickbooks is not the best.

**What problems is ECI Davisware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staying more orginzed through the day and weeks. Keeping more info in one system.

Ease of use and the features. I really like the reporting. I also like the Knowledgbase site!

Occassionally when updates/bug fixes happen, there are times when it fixes one problem, but creates / recreates another.  Sometimes it can be slow with larger customers (we have a large database). Random bugs seem to happen.

We really like the fact that we're able to upload our back-up paperwork. This helps when reviewing jobs, specially when working remotly.

Every time there is an update, we find modules and reports that don''t work properly and when you have over 80 tablet/rfs users, it makes for a horrible mess!

**What do you like best about ECI Davisware?**

The system I used to work on was way more difficult to use compared to this system we have now. We are able to place a service call and find an account so much fast than our other system. The account and the details we are able to see on the customer summary page is great! We are able to find out so much in one area instead of having to go into several different sections. Tasks are simple to complete here. Billing is great! I honestly love to use this system for our service needs. The customer also likes how the invoices come to them and everything. It is very customizable to your company's needs. As long as you have good training modules to go by training someone to use this software is a breeze as well. I remember when we were coming out with the software and the communication with them was great. They are also always doing updates to better their software which is great!

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

Freezes up sometimes but not sure that is a software issue... it didn't happen with my other software so that is why I am stating it here.

**Recommendations to others considering ECI Davisware:**

If you are running a service department this system will work great for you. We are able to work billing, service calls, lease contract, service agreements, warranty all out of one system. It really is impressive.

**What problems is ECI Davisware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now we are working on introducing our lease side of our company into the same software as the service side of our company. I feel like they have great customer service and fast response times to questions.

**What do you like best about ECI Davisware?**

Great Reporting features and inventory accountability.  The inventory functions and modules of this program are precise and helpful.  No more using negatives with inventory!  The physical inventory process is spot on and very efficient.   The use of scanners vs. paper and pen for counting inventory is a bonus.  The ability to mass change manufacturers, vendors, product groups, price groups is useful.  The replenishment modules aids in producing truck stock shipments for both our techs and our main warehouses.   The reports aid in checking margins, WIP, Inventory usage,

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

There is not enough up to date processes for all utilities and processes.  A more up to date collection of all processes and reports available would be very beneficial to any company that is using GE.  Continuous bugs in the system delay certain daily functions of our business.

**What problems is ECI Davisware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are working with GE regarding status updates.  We are also working with GE on new forms for our company in addition to implementing UPS with GE.

**What do you like best about ECI Davisware?**

The support team is excellent.  They are very responsive and they are usually able to answer my questions. The ticketing system is fairly easy and they provide quick feedback of what they are doing to solve our problem.

Continuous improvement of the product is a priority for the DW team.  They are always willing to work with us to improve the product in a way that makes our business more efficient.  We have worked with this team to develop reports, forms, new functionality, prevailing wage updates, and more.  The product has become much more robust in the 5 years we've been using it and now meets almost all of our needs.  

Service orders and inventory management run smoothly. Job costing works well.

The daily bank reconciliation has been a really useful tool to help us keep up on our bank accounts.  This has helped us to identify fraud a couple of times.

The reports in the system are hit or miss but pairing the product with Spreadsheet Server has allowed us significant control over reporting. Spreadsheet server has allowed us to create detailed reports that show operational and general data.  In some ways this is both a blessing and a curse.

We appreciate that there are enough modules to handle most of our business so we aren't importing data in and out of difference programs.

The system allows you to jump from module to module and drill down into the details very easily.

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

The payroll module is still in need of some attention as there are more limitations than we would like, though it too has improved over the last 5 years.  There are some reporting struggles so we end up calculating 941 information manually most quarters, rather than having the report come out of the system correctly.  We have had some sort of issue with the W2s almost every year.  Some easily fixed, others have taken a while.

Use tax management is insufficient for the State of Ohio and must be managed outside of the system.  The options are more limited than what exists in the real world.  Making the system accrue use tax on one purchase but not on the next, even though they may be on the same job, vendor, etc. is difficult.  We've had to manage it outside of the system.

To get the most out of GE, you must have an employee who is able to dedicate a significant amount of time to report writing to pull the data out of the database and into a useful report. We have found many reports in the system are not helpful and it's much more effective to pull the data directly from the database.  However, this can be a bit more time consuming and requires someone with certain skills.

Communication with the development team can be a struggle at times.  We would like more communication with them throughout the development process to decrease the number of times a new item has to be sent back to development.

There is no fixed asset module, which would be a nice addition.

The system securities are a bit cumbersome to manage.

**Recommendations to others considering ECI Davisware:**

Ask detailed questions when comparing your current system to GE.  Our team would ask questions like, "can the system do x" but we never talked about how it did it. When we went through implementation we found that the way GE did certain things was different than we expected.

Make sure the team investigating GE are familiar with the exact details of what you need the system to do, especially the things that happen in the background.  This team should include operational and administrative users.

Think ahead to what you may need in the next 3 years so you don't have to update settings every 6 months.

We have improved inventory tracking for our service team. We now have more detailed insights into our business, including job costing, service orders details, customer management, inventory management, and financial data.

Through spreadsheet server, we are able to better evaluate the profitability of individual clients.

We are slowly gaining more insight into our fleet with Davisware as we implement more of their fleet features.

I like how much more professional it generates our invoices like how they look and how I can invoice and email it with just a couple clicks. You could even do mass invoices all at once which our old software was unable to do any of this.

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

The crashes. I get a lot of the same errors. ( IT has sent tickets for this). For me personally it happens when doing a lot of invoicing. Also when inputting payroll hours the dates change on their own sometimes (back dates) and it messes up the total amount of hours. This has been addressed.

**Recommendations to others considering ECI Davisware:**

Just be sure to keep track of anything you feel needs improvement and send it in with a snap shot and describe what the issue is and be patient

On the schedule board we used to be able to "block" off spots when we had a customer on the phone so noone else uses it. We thought there wasnt a way to do it on Global but we figured out how to right clock on a space and create a schedule to block off that spot.

**What do you like best about ECI Davisware?**

The in depth equipment tracking, and immense amount of detail. The integration of RFS keeps the staff at the office up to date with the technician is doing. This allows for the fastest response time and keeps our customers happy.

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

The service agreement module is not as user friendly with commercial repair companies. Larger chain retailers will change their call schedule from year to year and GE wants to renew them with the exact same schedule as the year prior, even if I choose a new start month on the summary screen. 

The auto renew option is not reliable, and if I am renewing 30 contracts that month it kicks me back to the beginning so i have to scroll through each renewed customer to get to the next one on my list. When I do a service agreement lookup there is no date range to search by.

**What problems is ECI Davisware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our GE system continues to intermittently round to the 3rd decimal point (.000) which causes rounding errors on my invoices. It may just be a penny here or there but could make my customers question our integrity.  After the last update the customer's equipment list started sorting  Z to A instead of A to Z. With commercial customers with upwards of 100 pieces of equipment that flip is a bit of a nuisance.

Accounting, Payroll, and Inventory Management are all included.  No integration points required.  Provides an end-to-end solution for your business.

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

Lacks ability for user led configuration changes to field labeling, form layout, and workflow triggers (unlike powerhouse competitors; ServiceMax, Salesforce, and Dynamics365 Field Service).  Also, unless you want to pay a significant fee for each new employee, training materials are limited and relies heavily on customer created documentation, videos, and tribal knowledge.

We are able to work in a "canned" environment that allows for completion of the full service order work cycle.  The availability of an on premise SQL database allows for custom reporting outside of the program (SQL knowledge required).

Being able to see the over the counter sales history. You do not have to open up each order to see items. They are displayed when you highlight any particular order. I also appreciate the Davisware Support team. Especially, Karen & Barbara, both have been patient and helpful.

Too repetitive. Extremely difficult to trace part usage. All vendor part returns forced through one location, (main warehouse), instead of returning from a service order or job. Too geared towards accounting.

Some of the features I cannot turn off which in turn makes me find work arounds resulting in multiple clicks to allow me to continue.

I can make sure warranty is not missed for sites as well as parts. I like the automated event history which allows me to research activity and changes to better train co-workers when something was not done correctly as it allows me to easily see who made the change, added the part, etc.

We have been with  S2K Software for 7-years now and LOVE IT!  Customer Support is always great and very responsive! We were working with paper work orders before and it was always a struggle to locate work orders and customer files.  Now all we have to do is look up the customer in S2K and with the auto attach feature all their files are there! HUGE time saver!  Just one of the many things we love about the software.  S2K has been great for our company! 

**What do you dislike about ECI Davisware?**

Nothing much to dislike, whenever we come across something that needs to be fixed, they fix it quickly and if they do not have an option that we need, we get to add it to a wish list and most of the time our wishes get granted.

Great for Small Businesses!  Has been a great addition to our company.  We also use their Remote Field Service and GPS along with S2K.  They all integrate very well which makes everything a lot easier!

Problems that we have solved by having S2K would be no more losing our work orders and customer files.  Benefits we have realized is more happy customers and less scheduling issues.
