What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

I like that you can constantly learn something new everytime you use DaVinci Resolve Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

It's really cumbersome with no training/walkthrough. I wish they had training videos, I have to go on youtube to find out how to do the simplest things Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

Resolve is perhaps the most complete software that exists today in terms of video editing, colorization, and visual effects.

The big difference to other options on the market is that Davinci Resolve includes many tools for different purposes within the same software.

The quality of these tools is high and with ample possibilities for customization and refinement, which makes Resolve a software that offers everything you need in a single solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

When talking about a tool with a wide range of possibilities like Resolve, it is natural that the learning curve is higher, which can seem intimidating at first sight.

In fact, the interface is full of menus, buttons, and tabs, which makes time for adaptation essential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"You should RESOLVE to use DAVINCI RESOLVE"
5/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

The ease of use and the ability to integrate seamlessly with Avid Media composer is an excellent feature. Moreover, the online tutorials available cover a wide variety of in-software topics that can turn even the most novice user into an expert seemingly overnight Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

Honestly, there isn't much I don't like about DaVinci Resolve. That being said, it would probably benefit them to update it a bit more frequently so as to avoid minor bugs that crop in from time to time while I am working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A bit complex initially, Later its a most useful software you will know"
5/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

One thing I like the most about Resolve is, it's sort of all in one software.

I can do proxies, sorting rushes, editing, colour grading, music and even output and all these just within one software.

Also it's not too heavy on systems unlike premiere pro , doesn't use much resources and uses whatever available very efficiently Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

I wanted to have the option of sourcing output on secondary monitor in full screen which at the moment is not possible in free version. It plainly expands the window over 2nd monitor.

Software is a bit more complicated to understand, and would need months to understand each and everything in detail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the best video editing software ever I used."
5/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

Firstly I like the fact that DaVinci Resolve is optimized for M1 Mac! This is very versatile. I used it on my workstation (Mac) and my personal pc(windows based). I also love that you can edit differently. I'm talking to the nodes; yes, it is very peculiar, and it takes time for you to get used to it, but it is an excellent feature. I also love the fact that it is much easier to color grade using this editor compare to others, while you can use those present in the LUTS part, which are very good, knowing it is already included in the software. And the best thing about this is, It is Completely FREE! yes, there is a paid version where you can use more professional tools but the free is very good to go if you are just going for a simple edit. Adding subtitles in this editor is so much easier compare to the one I used before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

So far, I don't see any feature that I don't like with DaVinci Resolve. It is an excellent video editing software, and I love using it. It is " Go to" video editing software nowadays. I hope they will keep on optimizing the software more to improve it's speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DaVinci Resolve is an all-in-one solution"

What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

My favorite thing about DaVinci Resolve Studio is how I can go from editing, to adding graphics, to color grading, to final delivery, without having to use additional software. I take pride in how my footage looks, and previously I took my timeline from other software, imported it into DaVinci, graded it, and delivered it. But ever since I made the jump to use DaVinci completely, I've become a huge fan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

I don't know how much of this is DaVinci Resolve Studio's fault, but I often use footage from a server that I connect to through the internet. When I leave for the day and come back, my server has disconnected. If DaVinci is still on, it disconnects the footage, which I expect. But when I reconnect to the server, the footage doesn't reconnect and let me edit immediately. Instead, I have to quit DaVinci and reopen it in order for the footage to show online and without any errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The one I'd want if I was stranded on an island"

What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

In the few months that I've worked with DaVinci Resolve after getting too frustrated with a competing product that made every step more complicated than it needed to be, I've appreciated how customer-centric both the software itself and the vendor are.

The software is powerful, flexible, and vast. Want to get things done? Use DaVinci. Want to lose your mind dealing with unnecessarily steps and apologists? Use a competing product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

There's a lot to understand and wrap your head around, but that's the nature of powerful software and there are many training resources available to help tame the learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing and poweful video editing software without monthly subscription fees"

What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

I like the powerful color correction tools and the ability to easily edit using automatically generated proxies to avoid the class problems of stuttering footage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

I dislike very little about the software. The nodes used in fusion and color modules are difficult to get the hang of, but perseverance pays off. Keep up the good work! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Color grading powerhouse"
5/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

The best tool I've found for color correction and color grading.

Many tools, endowed with high precision, make the flexibility of isolating and modifying different color spectra possible, something I couldn't do in other software.

The AI features work great as a kick-start and often without the need for any correction adjustments. It's just amazing how much Davinci Resolve has evolved in such a short time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

It's not the most intuitive software in the world.

It is necessary to invest time to learn the dynamics of the different menus, panels, tabs, the node system...

Not that this is a problem, but anyone who's used to interfaces like Adobe's programs might be a little scared. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
