"Professional-Grade Video Editing and Color Grading-Feature-Rich but Demanding"
5/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

DaVinci Resolve stands out for its industry-leading color grading tools, robust audio post-production (Fairlight), and comprehensive editing capabilities-all in a single platform. The software supports advanced features like AI-powered color matching, Magic Mask for object selection, multicam editing, and a wide range of export options, including presets for YouTube and TikTok. Its collaborative workflow is excellent for teams, allowing editors, colorists, and sound designers to work simultaneously on the same project Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

DaVinci Resolve has a steep learning curve, especially for beginners, with many advanced features and unintuitive shortcuts that require time and effort to master. The interface can feel crowded, and some essential tools are not immediately easy to find without consulting manuals or tutorials. The software is resource-intensive, needing a modern, high-performance computer for smooth operation-older or less powerful machines may experience crashes or lag. "Absolutely Love Davinci Resolve"
5/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

Davinci Resolve is intuitive, and by far the best solution for post production. After decades using Adobe Premiere and other non-linear suites, Davinci outshines all others by far. Works perfectly with Arri, RED and Blackmagic camera footage. Very easy to install and implement. Customer support is excellent and the company cares about it's clients. I use Davinci Resolve daily in my post production work and it has integrated seamlessly into my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

The only downside is there is a steep learning curve for Fusion which is way different to Adobe After Effects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I an Adobe purist. Not any more"
5/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

There is so much in this software that it can be daunting but the best part is, you can use as much or as little as you want.

I started just on the edit pages. Transitioning from Premiere pro, reluctantly. Once I got into it, I no longer use Adobe for motion graphics, film or animation. Davinci resolve is just too good.

I use the paid, studio version, which is a one off, affordable price. NO SUBSCRIPTION. It runs off of GPU.

There is free training, with assets. Manuals for download and a whole host of videos.

I have converted a few people and they haven't been sorry.

The pages are great. You can work in the timeline edit and switch to colour grading, audio, motion graphics and VFX and the delivery pages to render, without having to open a different app.

I can't recommend it enough and I think I annoy people with how much I go on about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

I don't think there is anything I can think of.

Maybe that there is no Android version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing video editor"
5/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

Davinci Resolve has loads of features, while not having an overwhelming interface. I was able to use it right away, and have been implementing even more of its functions ever since. I use it often to edit videos, or even for more complicated video editing processes. It supports many video and audio formats, and I enjoy integrating different presents custom made by other users into my videos. This community support is greatly useful for learning how to do anything within the application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

The advanced features do have more of a learning curve, but with so many tutorials available, that can be easily overlooked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"HOPEFULLY DaVinci Resolve Kills Avid"
5/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

For a "FREE" program this is the MOST impressive Video Editing software i've used in over 30 Years. They are almost there to replace Avid Media Composer, but for an entire suite of tools that work seamlessly together, there's nothing bu UPSIDE to this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

Still early in their development, needs to add some more stability and functionality to allow MORE customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DaVinci Resolve is one of the best , if not THE best, video editor out there."
5/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

It works just as well if you're a noob, like me, as for pro editors from which I've heard that use it. And each and every feature is well built and placed accordingly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

Even though the features are all there and eventually become easy to find once you've got the hang of it- It is not the most intuitive structure and therefeore might be a bit overwhelming for newcomers. Besides that, it's amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"From chaotic clips to flawless documentaries: DaVinci resolves it all."
5/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

Color correction is its flagship feature, its grading technology combined with an intuitive interface makes it easy to achieve cinematic finishes. No high-end hardware is required to achieve this level of sophistication. In addition, DaVinci Resolve's fast processing capability ensures that even with multiple resolutions on the same timeline, we can edit without delay and in different formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

Although DaVinci Resolve is a powerful tool and offers extensive customization, many of the commonly used functions have unintuitive shortcuts that take time to master at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Professional tool for video editing"
4/5
What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?

- it has one of the best variants of editing tools, as a regular user of content creation and editing, this software works best for fine-tuning the work before uploading

- the colour correction and functional properties are definitely worth a try- they are so precise that it is hard to find praise in the outcome of it

- it is open to cross team collab which is great when working on the same project in a big organisation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?

- honestly, it has a very very steep learning curve and is not beginner-friendly at all- wont recommend for a newbie

- you need to use it on a desktop as it does not work well with other devices due to the requirements of the software, I also advise using a desktop or laptop that is more recent software and is regularly updated or else one is bound to suffer glitches during use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
