What I like about this tool is that I can backup and synchronize my files in a few clicks. Also you decide where and when sharing the file that you synchronized and let the user view or download the file directly with a simple click. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I dislike about that app is that sometimes it gets disconnected from the internet, and you don't know why; also, the workplace folder does the same behavior, and you have to click it to get it connected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful part of Datto Workplace is the sharing options. You can easily set user permissions, password protects your shares, require validation, expire access after a set amount of time or number of downloads, and require users to log in for auditing purposes. The system automatically captures access logs, as well as usernames and IP addresses. We have an easily accessed record of who accessed files when we do external shares, which has saved us a lot of back and forth if someone claims they never received something. We have two companies sharing several folders, and the on-premise server sync tool for one of the companies has a consistent error because we can only grant folder ownership to one sync agent at a time. The files still sync, and the end-users don't need to make changes to those folders. But if they did, we would need to figure out a workaround for the folders shared between companies. We switched our in-house server with Datto Workplace and will never switch back! Datto is very easy to use and is secure. One of the best things about Datto is the search function. I can search for a key word and Datto will list every document with the keyword in the file name. The only thing I miss is being able to edit a document and just click save to overwrite the old document. I have to download the document, edit it, then re-save it on Datto. Small price to pay though for having a secure server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that everyone can have access to the same documents and we are able to tell if someone else has that document open. If two people happen to open the same document at the same time it saves both versions so you can look at them and decide which is the most updated version to keep. It does cause some problems when 2 people open the same document. If it is a spreadsheet with multiple pages it can take quite some time to figure out which version is the correct and updated version of the file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If we let the cat out of the bag about its advantages then we can’t suffer enough because Datto Workplace is all in one thing that we can induce in our systems. It’s important in changing files and accomplish the capacity to feel not to worry around my oeuvre. The positive thing is that I can get behind the group of files in a folder at once and last but not least our electronic signature constitutes an effort to feel us worry-free. Synology made a real good software meeting all the expectations, but there should be more help available to understand its broad functions. Sometimes the internet can make a hurdle in configuration and that’s not a great mess. What is important is its slow transformation rate that could be better with the latest updates. Autotask gives you the ability to automatically sync computers and mobile devices to the cloud, which you can access from all your devices as well as through a web page interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Autotask Workplace has been a great tool. We use it to push all of our customer data to the cloud in order to our techs to be able to get the information from anywhere. We then all installed the agent on our PCs so that we could easily manipulate the files on our PCs. Their online portal is super easy to use and provides additional options for your files like sharing with another person or locking a file when its in use. This is also the place where you would create other customers accounts and user accounts as well as setup a company wide share if you wanted to.
