## About DataStealth
DataStealth is a privately held cybersecurity company headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Certified as a Great Place to Work four years running, DataStealth serves enterprise organizations across regulated industries, including financial services, healthcare, and government. DataStealth provides a patented Data Security Platform (DSP) that discovers, classifies, and protects sensitive data in real time. Its agentless, in-line architecture applies encryption, dynamic masking, and format-preserving tokenization directly in network traffic, without code changes, agent installations, or downtime. Coverage spans legacy mainframes, multi-cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments. DataStealth ensures raw sensitive data – e.g., PII, PHI, payment information – never reaches vulnerable systems, making it useless to attackers even during a breach. This simplifies compliance with PCI DSS, GDPR, and HIPAA while deploying in weeks, not quarters, shifting organizations from reactive perimeter defense to proactive data neutralization.

## DataStealth Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless Data Protection with Robust Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** steve h.

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about DataStealth?**

I have been using DataStealth for over five years and appreciate the ease of the environment setup, especially as we collaborated closely with the DataStealth team to determine the size and scope of the project. The team’s involvement in configurations and product setup was seamless and efficient. I find the support team consistently available and ready to assist, which contributed to a positive experience. DataStealth prominently solves problems like tokenization, inline database and application masking, test data management, and PCI compliance, benefiting my organization significantly. Once configured, DataStealth operates autonomously with minimal input required, except for patching and vulnerability management, which streamlines my workflow tremendously. Moreover, I value that it is a single product offering multiple use cases and solutions that cater to diverse needs within our operations.

**What do you dislike about DataStealth?**

Sometimes configuratios can be complex, requiring significant lead times to deploy.

**What problems is DataStealth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use DataStealth for tokenization, masking, test data management, and PCI compliance. Once configured, it operates efficiently without requiring further input, enhancing our workflow with minimal effort.

  ### 2. A very Unique offering backed by a great team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charanjit S. | Enterprise Architecture Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about DataStealth?**

We were looking for a vendor to support PCI compliance needs, and DataStealth came on top with their unique product offering. The fact that they support multiple deployment options including a fully managed cloud service as well as an option to deploy on-prem as an appliance is clearly an advantage. The implementation initially looks complex, however as you get a hang of the technology, setting up traffic for PCI was a breeze. The DataStealth team, both Sales and after-service Support were a pleasure to work with and are committed to their customers. Would highly recommend DataStealth.

**What do you dislike about DataStealth?**

Implementation initially looks complex, however once you understand the mechanism behind how this works, its a much quicker process. Would encourage anyone considering DataStealth to spend time planning and sharing application flows with the DataStealth engineers upfront and the implementation would be easy.

**What problems is DataStealth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DataStealth primary use case for us was PCI compliance and tokenization. Tokenizing CHD before it hits our network was a big win as we were able to run our PCI compliance and self-attestation needs with very little effort on our end.

  ### 3. I used DataStealth for specific data discovery from mutiple sources

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alain J B. | Directeur - Opérations de cybersécurité, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2025

**What do you like best about DataStealth?**

For me, DataStealth is more than a product, it is a complete solution comprising software, support and expertise. For a number of years, DataStealth provided and supported all the features we needed. On a daily basis, DataStealth enabled my organization to discover specific data elements from hundreds of structured and unstructured data sources. Implementation and integration of DataStealth was as easy as it gets.

**What do you dislike about DataStealth?**

My experience with DataStealth was only positive.

**What problems is DataStealth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Large organizations have the responsibility to handle private information regarding their customers (PII). My organization collects and stores massive quantities of PII. DataStealth enables us to discover such PII via incredibly specific rules and algorithms, which makes it very manageable despite the number and size of data sources.

My organization also relied on DataStealth for the eSkimming capability required to maintain compliance for PCI-DSS 4.01. They are true experts on the matter.

  ### 4. Quality service offering in an ever changing compliance space

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric R. | Sr. Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2025

**What do you like best about DataStealth?**

DataStealth has a knowledgable team, not just in the solutions that they provide but also in the PCI Compliance space. Their experience is only matched by their high level customer service. They did not just walk us through a basic configuration, they provided subject matters experts who helped integrate their solution with our complex environment.

**What do you dislike about DataStealth?**

What could have started out as a dislike quickly turned into a hugely positive experience. Any concerns that we raised about solution design, customer support or implementation were quickly addressed not only by the project team but at the highest level of the organization. Their focus on customer success helped us jump over any hurdles and get us to the finish line.

**What problems is DataStealth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provide monitoring of all web-traffic through our payment card processing sites, to ensure that no nefarious organization attempts to insert malicious code onto our sites to skim customer credit card information.

  ### 5. Exceptional Support and Seamless Integration, But Pricey for Small Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert S. | Director - Technical Sales, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about DataStealth?**

The DataStealth team truly forms the backbone of the products and services they offer. The tools available are of high quality and user-friendly, making them easy to use. Implementation and integration processes are straightforward, and in some instances, working with clients is entirely seamless. Their support team is approachable, possesses strong technical expertise, and responds promptly—qualities that every customer appreciates.

**What do you dislike about DataStealth?**

DataStealth is not among the most affordable tools available, and they make it clear that being inexpensive is not their goal. This can present challenges when trying to implement their solutions within smaller organizations.

**What problems is DataStealth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provide solutions for browser-related issues and information transformation services.

  ### 6. Excellent experience with DataStealth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2025

**What do you like best about DataStealth?**

I have worked with DataStealth for several years, and I have found the team to be detail-oriented and highly responsive. This makes DataStealth an excellent partner for delivering leading-edge technology to our customers. With DataStealth, we are able to introduce a new approach to protecting customer assets and data. Thanks to the technology's easy integration into existing customer environments, we can demonstrate the value of the solution quickly.

**What do you dislike about DataStealth?**

To fully realize the value of the solution, it is essential to involve all stakeholders during the initial deployment or proof of concept. Gathering input from everyone can take some time, but once the appropriate people are engaged, it becomes much easier to identify additional use cases where DataStealth can be integrated into customer environments.

**What problems is DataStealth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DataStealth addresses the challenge organizations face in protecting sensitive data. This includes meeting compliance requirements for regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS. The solution also assists organizations in safeguarding sensitive information, like PII and PHI, across both on-premise and cloud environments. DataStealth employs methods such as tokenization, masking, and encryption to ensure that data remains unusable even in the event of a breach. By adopting DataStealth's approach, we are able to help organizations save both money and resources.

  ### 7. Secure, Reliable, and Customer-Focused Data Protection

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Twane B. | CISO, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about DataStealth?**

The DataStealth team is truly committed to customer success. They offer more than just technology; their dedicated team puts in significant effort to understand your goals and ensure meaningful outcomes.

**What do you dislike about DataStealth?**

Although it is presented as plug-and-play, implementing encryption within legacy systems requires careful planning. Transitions that involve handling sensitive data elements throughout an ecosystem can lead to unexpected complexities. Organizations should approach this process thoughtfully, making use of DataStealth’s expertise to ensure a smooth transition.

**What problems is DataStealth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DataStealth was introduced to the organisation to help manage sensitive data.

  ### 8. Positive experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about DataStealth?**

We found DataStealth to be a unique and effective solution for reducing our PCI scope. It allowed us to accept and process customer credit card information with confidence, knowing that this sensitive data would not appear anywhere within our enterprise. Additionally, we were able to implement the solution without needing to make significant changes to our existing architecture or payment processes.

**What do you dislike about DataStealth?**

We have not experienced any downsides. Our experience with their support team has been positive.

**What problems is DataStealth solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DataStealth helps us reduce our PCI scope by removing the requirement for our enterprise systems to handle or process customer credit card information. This has made it easier for us to manage compliance and security concerns related to sensitive payment data.

  ### 9. PCI Compliance for Higher Education

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about DataStealth?**

DataStealth has a strong solution that helped us address our PCI compliance needs for a diverse environment. They have a strong technical team and provided exceptional customer support throughout our complex implementation.

**What do you dislike about DataStealth?**

Due to the complexity of our environment, our implementation did take considerable time to complete. However, DataStealth partnered with us throughout and together we were able to get things in place. I felt that we were valued as a customer from the highest level in the company right down to the technical and project teams that we worked with. They were very focused on our being successful with our implementation.

PCI compliance within a Higher Education environment.

  ### 10. Great Technology and Service Provider

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about DataStealth?**

What I liked best was their solid suite of products that not only protected our systems from risk but also helped us stay compliant with a range of standards and regulations. On top of that, their team quickly became trusted partners—sharp, reliable, and clearly invested in our success.

**What do you dislike about DataStealth?**

The biggest challenge was integrating their solutions into our highly customized legacy environments.

**What problems is DataStealth solving and how is that benefiting you?**
