"Easy-to-Use Virtual Data Room for Capital Raises and Restructuring"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

The most useful functions for me are capital raises and corporate restructuring for small businesses and startups. We can use the elite-tier virtual data room easily to achieve our goals within a reasonable time frame. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

The site can be very slow during peak times. Some functions, for example M&A transactions with multiple layers, are not valuable to us given our small-company and start-up scale. The security Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined, Intuitive Q&A Tool with Easy-to-Set Permissions"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

Good Q&A tool, permissions are easy to understand and set, intuitive at sifting through uploads. Overall user interface is streamlined and simple for clients to also utilise - dont need to be a banker to understand it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

UI can feel cluttered, search is sometimes slow or imprecise, and permissions/export workflows can be unintuitive during busy deals, especially at scale Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sydney Ashmore of Datasite Diligence

Hi there!

Thank you for the thoughtful review. We're really glad to hear Datasite Diligence has streamlined your due diligence process by centralizing document sharing, Q&A, permissions, and audit trails in one place, cutting down on the manual coordination, version control headaches, and email back-and-forth that can otherwise slow transactions down.

We also want to thank you for your feedback about the friction points you've experienced. Your input on the UI, the speed and precision of search, and unintuitive moments in permissions and export workflows during busy deal cycles will be shared with our product team. That kind of detail is exactly what helps the team prioritize improvements that matter most when stakes are highest.

Thanks again for sharing your experience and for choosing Datasite as your trusted partner in dealmaking.

"Secure Data Handling, Yet Room for Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

I appreciate the enterprise-grade security and clear document organization that Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room offers. I also like the fine-tuned access control and the built-in collaboration and Q&A features. The insightful activity tracking and ability to access the platform from anywhere are very beneficial. I find that it saves me time and creates smoother workflows, offering higher confidence in security, faster and more efficient review cycles, and better coordination and visibility, which overall contributes to reducing operational risk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

I find the pricing and transparency a bit unclear and potentially high. Document review speed can be slow due to one-by-one file access, and search accuracy sometimes misses relevant text. Usability for new users isn't always intuitive. Large file handling can result in upload delays or failures. Collaboration tools like Q&A and notifications might be smoother. Some advanced features aren't as refined as expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Emily Ehlers of Datasite Diligence

Hi Dharmisha! Thanks so much for your feedback. We're really glad you appreciated our robust security, permissions settings, and Q&A. We appreciate your notes on where we can improve, too. I've shared your feedback with the Product team. Again, thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us! We look forward to supporting you on future deals. It significantly accelerates due diligence while maintaining complete control and confidentiality. The initial setup was straightforward, with guided onboarding and support making it quick and hassle-free. I find the robust, seamless reliability of Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room to be exceptional, which is why I would rate it 10/10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform has a slight learning curve for the first-time users, especially with advanced features. Pricing could also be more flexible for smaller teams or lower value transactions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Favorite dataroom"
5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

Datasite is my favorite dataroom - I love how easy it is to keep up and filter on new uploads. The project visualizer is a game changer and lets me know where I need to focus my efforts, which makes opening a new dataroom all the easier. Implementation is always easy breezy, making it a delight to use every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

A little difficult to switch between different projects.Sometimes I need to switch back and forth between documents and the index, and it can be a bit difficult to do so or have multiple items open. I also wish you could receive email notifications for specific folders, not the entire dataroom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Brit Boorman of Datasite Diligence

Hi Jackie!

"Effortless to Use with Outstanding Support and Handy Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

The platform is easy to use, and the customer support team is very efficient—you can usually get assistance quite quickly. Additionally, the data room includes useful features like a redact tool, which helps make work more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

Occasionally, I find that I have to log in twice when using Datasite. Since I use it almost every day, this can be a bit frustrating. However, it's a minor inconvenience—just something that's a little annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Emily Ehlers of Datasite Diligence

"Shaped for Speed: Effortless Due Diligence"
5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

I find Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room very easy to use for both lawyers and clients, which is crucial in fast-paced deal environments. The AI integration is particularly helpful as it provides summaries of documents, streamlining the diligence process and making it faster. It's also convenient because it allows clients to upload large numbers of documents that can be reviewed on the side and easily marked as reviewed. Additionally, setting up is easy when a clear structure is pre-prepared. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

Allocation of documents could be possible within the tool. For example, I should be able to mark the documents I intend to / have reviewed. It should be possible to both allocate and see who has been allocated documents on the site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Brit Boorman of Datasite Diligence

"Intuitive Platform with Stellar Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

I really like that Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room has a very good user interface and excellent customer service. Anytime I get stuck on something or have a question, customer service is there to help and they are super helpful. I also think it's a very complete platform with Q&A tools and redaction tools that have been improved with AI. It's very intuitive and makes it easy to categorize confidential information securely, with the ability to create subgroups and have selective review access, which is super powerful. The platform is also very easy to use and the setup involves just a few steps. If needed, a quick call to customer service gets things sorted out super quickly for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

Sometimes when you try and download files, the file path is too long, and so it doesn't work. It's an issue rather on the Windows side of things, but when you create a lot of folders and subfolders and then the title of the document is long, you can't download the file. And it can be a bit annoying, so if that issue could be solved, that would be super good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Emily Ehlers of Datasite Diligence

Hi there, Thomas! Thank you so much for your detailed review. We are so pleased you've had helpful interactions with the support team, and that you're using Q&A and redaction, too. I love that you're trying some of those AI-enhanced features we offer! Your note on file path limitations is a pain point for us, too. You're correct that it's a Windows thing, but we understand your pain and will pass it along to our Product team. Again, thanks so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to read! We wish you a happy new year and we look forward to supporting you and your teams again in 2026. Warmly, The Datasite Team

"Secure and Efficient, But Needs Better Navigation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

I like Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room for its robust security combined with intuitive deal-focused features. The granular permission controls give me the confidence to share sensitive documents securely. I find the built-in Q&A workflow and activity tracking streamline communication and visibility greatly. Its structured folder organization and quick search functionality make it fast and far less chaotic to navigate large volumes of due-diligence materials. I also appreciate that the platform offers strong security features, like multi-factor authentication and detailed activity logs. It simplifies collaboration by allowing reviewers to ask questions directly on documents and organizing responses. Additionally, the dashboard and logs enhance transparency and efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

Some features in Datasite Diligence can feel overwhelming for new users, and the learning curve is a bit steep. Navigation slows down when dealing with very large document sets. At times, the platform experiences minor performance lags. More transparent pricing or tiered plans would also be helpful. Navigation becomes challenging when deals contain thousands of documents, as folder structures load slowly and the search function isn’t always precise. It would help to have smarter filters, dynamic tagging, or AI-based document suggestions. At peak usage, there are occasional performance lags when opening or indexing large files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Emily Ehlers of Datasite Diligence

Hi there! Thanks so much for your highly detailed review of Datasite Diligence. We are very glad that permissions, Q&A, MFA, and reporting have been useful to you and your teams. We do offer 24/7 customer support and on-demand training - so anyone new to Datasite can reach out for help, night or day. Your suggestions on how we can improve are greatly appreciated, and thoughtful. I've shared them all with our Product teams! We so appreciate that you took the time to share all your thoughts with us. And we look forward to a continued partnership in the years to come. Warm regards, The Datasite Team

"Efficient Navigation, Needs Improved Login Speed"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

I appreciate the ease of navigation that Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room offers. The interface is intuitive, making it straightforward to manage and access a wide range of documents, which is crucial for navigating through transaction data rooms. Additionally, the 'recent documents' feature is especially valuable as it allows me to quickly locate the latest uploaded documents without any hassle. These aspects contribute significantly to my productivity and ensure that sensitive information remains secure and accessible only to authorized parties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

The speed of logging into Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room is quite bad, which can cause frustration and delays. Additionally, the Q&A part is not as intuitive as I would like, making it cumbersome to section questions and answers effectively and filter among different question themes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Emily Ehlers of Datasite Diligence
