## Datarails Reviews
 ### 1. Strong Consolidation Capabilities

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Macey C. | Credentialing/Contracting Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

We’re still in the very early stages of using the Datarails platform, but the biggest benefit so far has been its ability to consolidate financial data across our many lines of business. It brings information from multiple sets of books into one place, which makes it much easier for us to produce a truly consolidated financial portfolio

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

There’s quite a bit to learn before you can truly take full advantage of all its capabilities.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to manually consolidate our financials for the bank and investors. We no longer have to do that because Datarials can integrate all of our QuickBooks instances and consolidate our entities and lines of business for us.

 ### 2. Fantastic Integrations Support and Thorough, Tailored Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

The support from the integrations team is fantastic. The onboarding and integration process is very thorough, and the attention paid to customizing the datarails environment to fit our company's needs has been great. The Datarails team is committed to ensuring the tool not only meets the needs of our business, but also ensuring our company's power users have an in-depth understanding of how the platform interacts with our company's data.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

The data integrations can be complex and granular. This does require users to learn the Datarails direct reference structure on top of general excel knowledge, which can get a bit confusing when first learning the system.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails is allowing our company to refine a variety of large financial datasets and distill the data into helpful insights for business managers to understand business drivers better in order to shape the direction and performance of the company in a more refined manner.

 ### 3. Datarails Makes FP&A Faster with Seamless Excel Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fran K. | FP&A Specialist in Finance and Controling department, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

What I like about Datarails is how it makes FP&A work much more efficient without forcing teams to completely change how they work. The integration with Excel is a big advantage, since it allows you to keep the flexibility of spreadsheets while adding structure, automation, and better data control. It also simplifies reporting and consolidation, which saves a lot of time and reduces manual errors. Overall, it feels like a practical solution that actually fits into existing workflows instead of replacing them.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

There are still a few "bugs" that need to be fixed. Also, a lot of issues I can't do by myself, only with customer support, so it slows down the process, even tho the customer support is great and really responsive.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves us a lot of time. It saves time especially well in the "Members & Group" section, where we can easily give and change access to certain files for everyone.

 ### 4. Helpful for financial reporting, but implementation can be challenging

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit S. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Datarails helps us organize and analyze financial data more efficiently, especially during the monthly close process. I mainly use it to analyze budget vs. actuals and to extract and structure data from SAP in a more convenient way.

It allows us to turn raw ERP data into clear and user-friendly reports and share financial insights with relevant stakeholders across the company. The ability to structure the data and present it in a way that supports decision-making is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

The implementation process was quite long and sometimes complex. Many configurations cannot be done independently and require support from the Datarails team, which creates a dependency during the setup phase. We also experienced several technical issues during implementation.

In addition, we expected a more complete integration with banks. In practice, when working with different banks not all the data is available for extraction, so the functionality is still limited compared to what we initially hoped for.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails helps us manage and organize financial data that originally comes from our ERP system (SAP). Before using it, extracting and structuring the data for analysis and reporting required a lot of manual work.

With Datarails we can more easily pull data from SAP, structure it, and analyze budget vs. actual performance during our monthly close process. This helps us build clearer financial reports and share up-to-date information with relevant stakeholders across the company.

As a result, financial information is more accessible and easier to analyze, which improves visibility and supports better decision-making.

 ### 5. Easy Data Mapping Makes Report Standardization Simple

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew B. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Once that data is mapped, it is easy to standardize all sorts of reports and processes.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

The built in dashboards are not easy to customize in terms of layout and color schemes, which would make them much more useful for board decks, etc.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our dataset is too large to contain in excel workbooks and it enables us to tie together operation data with financial data, that we would normally have to pull and tie, manually.

 ### 6. A Game-Changer for Financial Consolidation and FP&A

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Datarails has completely transformed how we manage financial consolidation and reporting. The biggest advantage is having a true single source of truth—everything syncs seamlessly, and manual version control issues have virtually disappeared. The platform integrates smoothly with Excel, which makes adoption incredibly easy, and the automated data consolidation saves hours (sometimes days) of manual work. The dashboards and reporting tools are intuitive and allow for quick, accurate insights that support better decision-making.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

There’s a slight learning curve when setting up more complex models or custom reports, especially early on. That said, once you understand the structure, it becomes straightforward—and their support team is excellent at guiding you through anything tricky.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having 1 single source of truth for all information like financials and KPIs.
Excels no longer are huge files and not linked to multiple sheets which allows it to be quicker.
Rolling forward files becomes a lot easier and quicker.

 ### 7. Easy-to-Learn Excel-Based Platform, But Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Very Excel-friendly, which makes adoption easy for finance teams
Short learning curve compared to traditional FP&A tools
Saves time on manual data collection and version control
Good flexibility for customizing reports without heavy IT involvement

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

No native web forms for data input, which limits collaboration with non-finance teams
Heavy reliance on Excel formulas can make complex models harder to maintain
Forecasting and scenario planning features are somewhat limited
Occasional performance lag with large datasets

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails solves the challenge of managing fragmented financial data and manual reporting processes, especially in Excel-heavy environments. Before using it, a lot of time was spent consolidating data from multiple sources, dealing with version control issues, and manually updating reports.

With Datarails, data consolidation and reporting are largely automated, which reduces errors and saves significant time during month-end and budgeting cycles. It also improves visibility by centralizing financial data while still allowing us to work within Excel, which minimizes disruption to existing workflows. Overall, it has made our reporting process more efficient, more accurate, and less time-consuming.

 ### 8. Fast, easy data - all in one place

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edward B. | Financial Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Having all of our data in one place - pulling from our ERP, data warehouses, and manual inputs - has been very useful and has significantly reduced the endless manual work the team used to do. There is little friction when setting up new inputs as the layout of the system is pretty user friendly. Files are read quickly by the system so we always have the latest data to hand in a few minutes. Setting up tables within excel is as easy and dragging and dropping your metrics in. We use DataRails daily for all of our financial reporting so we definitely make the most out of the price - customer support and online help is always quick to respond to any questions we have as well. AI integration is coming soon so we are excited to see the further insights it can bring.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

If your data infrastructure isn’t set up or maintained properly, it can create a lot of confusion within the team. That often means spending extra time searching for the right metrics and, in the worst case, reporting the wrong numbers. It’s up to our team to keep the mapping airtight; otherwise, it can quickly turn into a headache when you have to go back and rework the data structure.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run all of our financial reports through DataRails, and we no longer have Google Sheets spread across a disorganised shared drive. This has sped up our reporting timelines and ensures all of our data is kept in one place, ready to hand whenever we need it.

 ### 9. Easy, Fast, and Accurate—With Great Responsive Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Datarails is easy to use, especially if you’re already comfortable with Excel, since many of the functions feel familiar. It’s accurate and quick, and the support team is great and very responsive when you need help.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Depending on your CSM, you can have more or less help. There can be a lot of additional features that they don't really help you work around if you don't spend so much on a monthly basis.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails is allowing a seamless integration from our Accounting Platform to Excel and Reporting. This integration allows us to be faster, more accurate, and generate more valuable analysis.

 ### 10. Flexible, Excel-Friendly, Great visualization with Helpful Drill-Downs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

I like the flexibility and familiarity of Datarails, especially since it works seamlessly with Excel sheets. Being able to drill down into the details without having to log in to a different system—both from the dashboard and directly in Excel—is really helpful. I also appreciate that it comes with illustrations, which is a great touch.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Sometimes Datarails has downtime, or what seem like bugs. When that happens, I have to close all the files and restart my laptop to get things working again. It would also be great if Datarails had customer support and a developer team based in Asia, so it’s easier to connect with them and resolve issues more quickly.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far, it hasn’t been a problem, but our Datarails implementation was done fairly quickly and without fully thinking through what might come up later. As a result, we’re not able to use Datarails to its full capability in my current company.

**Official Response from Chanel Itzhaki Ganor:**

> It's great to hear that working in Excel and being able to drill into details from both dashboards and spreadsheets has been helpful for your workflow.

Regarding occasional downtime or issues, we appreciate you mentioning this. If something like this happens again, your Customer Success Manager or our support team can usually help troubleshoot quickly.

While we may not always be in the same region, our Customer Success and support teams work across multiple time zones, so there is almost always someone available to help. Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review!

 ### 11. Powerful FP&A platform enabling cross team collaboration and real time financial analysis.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

A very customisable and powerful platform that lets you create and display highly complex queries. Support staff and account managers are highly knowledgeable. NetSuite integration works well.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Setting things up in the backend isn’t always very intuitive. The ability to display complex queries is great, but it also takes a lot of training and experience to use effectively. Price is on the high side but justified if you spend time to get the most out of it.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to display real time financial data to those outside of the finance team. Improves our budgeting capabilities.

 ### 12. Real-Time Multi-Source Sync with Flexible Outputs and Strong Excel Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen D. | AVP FP&A and Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

I am enjoying the syncing of multiple data sources and having access to them in real time. The option to output data in multiple formats such as visualizations, reports, and storyboards is great. Lastly, the integration with Excel is unlocking powerful leverage from our data and combining it with the functionality of Excel.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

The pricing structure of seat types is challenging. I would love viewer seats in bulk so outputs can be distributed without limiting workarounds. On the foundational side, it’s challenging that changes to data mappers are not automatically updated through out existing dashboard and reports.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails has eliminated the time burden of updating dozens of worksheets and producing meaningful data visualizations that did not previously exist.

**Official Response from Chanel Itzhaki Ganor:**

> Thank you Stephen for the thoughtful review! We are glad to hear that real-time multi-source syncing, flexible outputs, and the Excel-native integration are making a real difference for your team.

If you want to distribute outputs to non-viewers, Datarails has a solution for that. The recommended option is Export as Values, which converts the sheet to static values so it can be viewed without platform access. Check out the link below for details, and if you are not seeing that option, your Customer Success Manager can quickly show you how it works.

We would also love to connect on the Data Mapper feedback, as there may be some dashboard settings around automatic date updates that could resolve this. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager and we will make sure you are getting the most out of the dashboards.

 ### 13. Effortless Data Consolidation and Manipulation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connor M. | Financial Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

It is manipulatable and allows for quick data consolidation once you are in place with correct accounting and querying that all business's likely have to perform before consolidating multiple business enterprise systems into a common ground in Datarails.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

One thing that we've found to be a bit of a pain is creating custom columns with more than one function and or condition in the same column. Found that Datarails does not like IF statements with multiple conditions on them, for example saying if blank return value then if not value return "Other" we had to parse this out between two custom columns which makes things a bit convoluted.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails is now allowing us to report using one system rather than having to log in and pull reports from 6 different places which is extremely time consuming.

**Official Response from Chanel Itzhaki Ganor:**

> Thank you for the great review, Connor! Going from logging into six different systems down to one is exactly the kind of win we love to hear about.

On the custom columns, we consider breaking out complex IF statements into multiple columns to be best practice. Keeping the logic simple and separated makes formulas easier to follow, audit, and troubleshoot down the line. That being said, our new built-in AI Assistant for Custom Columns is worth trying and may make the process feel a lot more intuitive. Feel free to check it out below and reach out with questions!

 ### 14. Efficient Data Integration, Needs Dashboard Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

I use Datarails to analyze data at my company, which has over $4B in Assets Under Management. I appreciate how it helps me quickly pull data from different buildings into one Excel file. If I didn't have Datarails, I wouldn't be able to pull financial data from over a hundred buildings in a single file. What stands out to me is the ability to have multiple data sources and connect them all together. It's especially nice for us when dealing with Nursing Home Provider data, which we can link to financial data from our nursing homes through the same ID. Being able to connect multiple data sources quickly is extremely valuable as it saves a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

The main room for improvement at Datarails is the dashboards. We have created multiple dashboards in Excel, which we have pushed to the web environment. However, it takes way too long to refresh once you filter to different portfolios or facilities. We have brought this up to the Customer Success Manager, and it appears that Datarails is working on a fix.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Datarails to quickly pull data from different buildings into one Excel file and connect multiple data sources, which saves a lot of time.

**Official Response from Chanel Itzhaki Ganor:**

> We are so glad to hear Datarails is helping your team create a single source of truth while continuing to work in Excel, and that bringing together data from so many buildings and sources is saving you time.

It is also great to see you making use of custom dashboards and the ability to filter across portfolios and facilities. With that level of flexibility and data volume, performance can sometimes depend on the complexity of the underlying model.

We always appreciate hearing how we can improve, so please keep sharing feedback with your Customer Success Manager. Our team is always happy to help find the best solution for your use case. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience.

 ### 15. Great for ERP Data Automation, But Online Setup Can Be Complex

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan P. | Manager, FP&A, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

- Automating the aggregation of ERP data between different systems.
- Provides useful pre-built financial templates.
- Allows user to work within familiar Excel environment and manually manipulate data.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

- Online environment feels complex at first, especially with locating and navigating data sources.
- Relinquish a bit of autonomy by no longer keeping aggregation and calculation of data fully in-house.
- Can be dependent of buy-in and acumen of IT team, creating a stakeholder that needs to help but does not see a lot of benefit.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails is putting our three entities' data on a consolidated chart of accounts and providing us with consolidated / entity specific financials. Their use of best practices ensures our data is formatted optimally and can scale with additional acquisitions.

**Official Response from Chanel Itzhaki Ganor:**

> Thank you for the thoughtful review Evan! It is great to hear that ERP data automation, pre-built templates, and the Excel-native experience are delivering value, and that Datarails is helping consolidate multiple entities optimally.

On the IT dependency point, we would love to understand more about what is requiring IT involvement on your end. Datarails is designed to be far less dependent on IT than most platforms, so please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to see if we can find a simpler path for your team.

As always, please reach out if there is anything we can help with!

 ### 16. Drag-and-Drop Time Saver with Smooth NetSuite Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard C. | Senior Finance Business Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

the drag-and-drop interface saves me hours each week. performance is better than previous software used. Integrates well with Netsuite

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Whilst updates are better than previous software, they still could be faster.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster, slicker access to data Easier way to drill down into the financial transactions

 ### 17. Efficient Dashboarding with Connectivity Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

I like the dashboards, which help me see different financial statements quickly. The Excel add-in is also a feature I appreciate. Additionally, I find the connection to Claude really helpful, as it allows me to get numbers and projections out effectively. The setup process was pretty easy since we've had it set up before, so mapping and understanding the process was straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

We're having troubles with the cloud connection disconnecting every once in a while.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Datarails to see different financial statements quickly and get numbers and projections out.

 ### 18. Datarails Bridges Excel and FP&A with Clear, Easy Financial Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Datarails does a great job of bridging the gap between MS Excel users and FP&A users. It builds on Excel’s strengths so end users can easily enter data, review it, and visualize financial information in a way that’s clear and easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

The Dr.Get formulas can be a little tricky at times, depending on how detailed you need the information to be. But this is easy to overcome over time.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re currently in the middle of an ERP implementation, and Datarails has been the bridge we rely on to consolidate all of our financials and budgeting in one place.

 ### 19. Datarails is user-friendly with drillable dashboards but limited for non-QBO data.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Romelie A. | Fund Accountant II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

What I like best about Datarails is its drillable capability, which makes analyzing data much easier and more efficient. I also appreciate how simple it is to create widgets once the data is datamapped. Lastly, the support chat is excellent—whenever I encounter an issue, the team is always helpful in providing solutions.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Creating dashboards or widgets using data outside of QBO can be challenging. The platform isn’t flexible enough to build tables with multiple columns pulling from different data sources. In addition, when comparing actuals and budgets (e.g., monthly from Jan to Sep), there’s no option to show separate grand totals. Currently, the grand total column combines both actuals and budgets, but it would make more sense to have one total for actuals and another total for budgets.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails helps consolidate and analyze financial data easily, allowing me to create drillable dashboards and gain insights faster. It also makes budgeting much easier and more organized, improving reporting efficiency and decision-making.

 ### 20. Great Excel Integration That’s Easy to Pick Up

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

- Excel integration is great - it works alongside our current models and is very easy to pick up
- Good customer support with a dedicated account manager looking after you
- Straightforward to use so less issues with excel formula gremlins and bugs
- Takes the automation out of work and allows us to value add

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

- Datarails formulas can be quite tricky to write initially to pull out the info you're looking for
- Whilst it works for us, the product does feel quite pricey

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our Board reporting has historically taken a lot of time to finalise in month end. Using Datarails, it has made the process significantly faster and allowed us to focus more on value add activities during a busy time of the month

We have previously used excel to consolidate / bring together results - using Datarails has meant that there are less mistakes coming out of the woodwork due to excel formulas breaking etc

 ### 21. Powerful Consolidation for Complex Multi-Layered Business Models

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

The ability to consolidate a complex multi-layered business with individual models. The potential to do more is very high aswell.

We had some issues with lack of support and this was rectified quickly and the team was helpful.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Our company structure has changed and this was a complex to adjust due to the set up and also as I stepped into something that was already built.

There are still some manual data dumps, I am unsure of why this was done, but something that could be resolved.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Handling incredibly large volumes of data to provide detailed models.

Consolidating a multi-segmented business into one streamlined model.

Handling multiple scenarios for multiple models.

 ### 22. Report Templates That Save Us Tons of Time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

I like that I can use the templates to design new reports in a fraction of the time. It’s going to be a great help to our business. We will undoubtedly use it everyday in finance.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

I found it difficult to make time to set up Datarails and it was somewhat complicated at first. Integration was easy, but the data mapping was more challenging but the customer support from the implementation team was great guiding us through.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Close month-end much faster
- Investigate difference in month-end faster and more accurately
- Create spreadsheets and reports faster and with more accuracy
- Design new reports and insights into the business

 ### 25. Fast, Reliable Updates with a Quick Refresh

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Update the information very quickly, when we refresh

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

The updates are not auto, so manual updates need to be done

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Beneficial to get up to data accounting information for my board packs

 ### 26. Fast, Easy Data Mapping with Smooth Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Fast connectivity amongst the integrations. It's also fairly easy to map data

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Expensive and sometimes can be difficult to trouble shoot

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps a lot with bringing data together from netsuite into our reporting. makes it a lot easier

 ### 27. Great for smaller company financials

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

After the initial set up, navigating through Datarails is easy. I would encourage the users to be in the system at least weekly until the use of system becomes easier.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Our company is quite complex and several times our issues were handled between both customer support as well as the integration team. The ease of validating some of the balance sheet was nice after the set up, but there are still items not really validating properly. We have developed work arounds but that is because we have an inhouse data analyst who has the expertise to help on our end. I do think the product would be great for smaller, less complex companies. Even better if they are new and use this to start out in. It's just not as easy for complex financials.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails was meant to be something to help make our financial workflow more efficient, but unfortunately, it's about the same amount of work, just in different areas. When it comes to budgeting and forecasting, we are finding more success.

 ### 28. Simple, Powerful Financial Data Visualization—With a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Datarails makes it easy to visualize and connect financial data. I liked that it was simple, straightforward, and powerful.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Like any new software, it takes some time to learn. That’s not necessarily an issue specific to Datarails.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails helps in consolidating financial information across departments. It is helping us budget, forecast, create reports to distribute to important stakeholders, and manage disaggregated information that is hard to organize otherwise.

 ### 29. Powerful Reporting and Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

I appreciate how quickly I can drill down into variances between actual results and the budget, as well as compare them to prior periods. Additionally, the integration between database data and QuickBooks has proven very helpful for both reporting and analysis.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Navigating the different levels of functionality, such as lookup tables, functions, and tables, can be challenging at times. If you are not particularly tech savvy, the learning curve at the beginning can feel a bit steep.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails made it possible to connect different data sources and bring them together within an Excel model.

**Official Response from Annie Miller:**

> Thanks for sharing your experience! It's great to hear how quickly you're able to dig into variances and bring together data from QuickBooks and other sources. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything we can help with along the way.

 ### 30. Streamlines Data Warehousing and Standardization for Easy Consolidation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

It can generate a data warehouse and link different information together. It also helps standardize data, making consolidation easy.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

You need a certain level of data management skills and be proficient with formulas. Needs a good documentation if not data can get messy very quickly.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to consolidate data and drill down to a detailed level when needed. This also helps improve the accuracy of the information.

**Official Response from Annie Miller:**

> Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s great to hear Datarails is helping you standardize and consolidate your data more easily, while giving you the flexibility to drill down and improve accuracy. If you ever need anything along the way, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

 ### 31. My experience with Datarails has been highly positive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris H. | Business Systems Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

The system has significantly enhanced our workflow, reducing user errors and increasing efficiency. Customer support is also very useful when needing help troubleshooting any problems.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

The one downside with Datarails is the learning curve at the beginning. It was easy was lose track and where everything was being pulled from , but as you use it more, the easier it was to understand.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One big problem we were having prior to Datarails was the amount of time our financial statements took to update. It was a very tedious and manual job having to update each and every file. With Datarails, the system can automatically update it on a reoccurring basis, or I can make one change everything gets updated.

 ### 32. Amazing Drill Down Capabilities, Reporting made easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Varchasv Y. | Senior Manager FP&A, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Easy to set up, Reporting made Easier with drill down to Vendor level details, and Amazing Customer Support.

The significant advantage is that everything is Excel driven and the support team tries to devise solutions for almost every tweak as per the ask.

Reporting is made in real-time without manual intervention so that team can focus on Analysing.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Though version control is available, it can be made more flexible so as to create different versions of the same Forecast (Optimistic, Base case ) plus month-wise forecasting.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monthly reporting just with a few clicks, Budgeting Forecasting and Analysis are made much easier.

**Official Response from Anouk Amar:**

> Thank you for your review Varchasv!
Your feedback has been passed along to our team :)

 ### 33. Centralized Data That Makes Reporting Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Centralized data allows us to run all reports in one platform

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

The integration with CIN7 wasn’t possible making some of the processes a little harder

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed of reporting and for forecasting since all the data can be refreshed instantaneously from various platforms

 ### 34. Enjoying the product.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Having a digital monthly scheduled workflow that updates as pieces are completed, providing exceptional visibility of progress made/work remaining. In general, Datarails guides us to complete all of the components of our global consolidation process in a timely manner.

The Excel add-on feature is exceptional for drilling-down into the data and uncovering the reasons behind the trends we are noticing.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

I have found that the formatting of my files tends to not save correctly from month-to-month and as such I often save my .exl file on my computer, and then perform Roll Forwards within the add-on feature as opposed to downloading a new filebox file.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails is providing us with a sole source to go to for our consolidated reporting. Everything (all of our data) is now in one place and it makes it much easier to comb through the data, and generate insights based on product lines, geographics, etc. etc.

**Official Response from Anouk Amar:**

> It is true.. our Excel add-in is changing the lives of many :)
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a 5-star rating – it’s much appreciated!

 ### 35. Visual Dashboards That Make Exporting Data Analysis Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

I like the visual dashboards that make it easy to use and export for data analysis

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

I'd like to see more options for tables/graphs for better trend visuals.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving me a lot of internal analysis and statement generating for budgets

 ### 36. Excel-Native and User-Friendly, But Formula Consistency Needed

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonio C. | Chief Financial Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

The tool is excel-native, and it is easy to understand how to build the data library and query the data.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

It would be ideal if all formulas were identical to Excel or regular query language.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our ERP is from the Stone Age, so it's wonderful to be able to query our financial data at will and pull excel reports with this.

 ### 37. Affordable for Small Businesses, But Can Be Confusing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

It seems is an affordable option for small businesses compared to Salesforce for example.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

It is a little bit complex. It is like a mix between a Tableau using Python ish......Meaning there is still things we need to fix manually. I know we haven't provided the best data (Mapping) but still the way we need to fix things or create a formula is high level (meaning required a little bit experience in data modeling).

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is gathering all the information needed to analyze financial statements and forecast modeling.

 ### 38. Centralized Data Powerhouse for Our Company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

What I like best about Datarails is how it has become the centralized data warehouse for the company.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

I dislike that it can be difficult to understand and maneuver for those that are not as technologically inclined. I also dislike that the dashboards can only be saved as PDFs, they cant be drilled down.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails is saving so much time for employees at the company.

**Official Response from Chanel Itzhaki Ganor:**

> Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We're glad Datarails has become the centralized data warehouse for your company.

I'm happy to share that drill-downs are available on several dashboard widgets, including column charts, line charts, pie charts, waterfall charts, and table views. You can find more details in the link, we hope that helps make the dashboards even more useful for your team.

We also hear you on the learning curve for less tech-savvy users, and we're always working to make the experience more intuitive. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team if there is anything we can help with.

 ### 39. Excellent Data Centralization, Awaiting Enhanced Dashboard Visuals

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Datarails is an excellent tool for centralising data, building comprehensive datatables, and visualising reports for management focused on key personnel.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Datarails is currently still developing some of its dashboard visuals, which should enhance its visualization capabilities once completed. While Datarails offers helpful training materials, I have found that more complex solutions often require direct assistance from the customer service team, who are always willing to help.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralising data and being able to share it with a broad audience, while also controlling access through straightforward data restriction tools and rules, is a valuable feature.

 ### 40. DataRails, helpful analytics solution for Companies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bharat S. | Director of AI and Integrations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

DataRails was great in plug-and-play no-code options, you can simply integrate your Database into DataRails and easily create Graphs, charts that teams can use daily to get real-time insights into their Organization. It's easy to implement ready-made analytics Solution

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Sometimes the updates are not conveyed to the user instantly.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DataRails help as the landing page for all analytics Job, it helps in Budgeting and Forecasting while also providing opertional overview for teams to work.

 ### 41. Positive Experience with Limited BI & Dashboarding Functionality

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

The Excel add-in is by far one of Datarails' strongest features. It allows users to work within the familiar Excel environment while leveraging automated data consolidation, version control, and real-time syncing with the platform. This significantly reduces manual work, eliminates the risk of broken formulas or outdated files, and enables more efficient and accurate reporting. It strikes a great balance between flexibility and control, making it easy for finance teams to scale their processes without giving up their preferred tools.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

One of the main challenges was how siloed the workspaces were. While Datarails offers strong functionality for managing financial data, the separation between workspaces made it difficult to collaborate across teams or share insights seamlessly. This often resulted in duplicated efforts and limited visibility into what other teams were working on. A more integrated environment—or improved cross-workspace collaboration tools—would greatly enhance usability and efficiency across an organization.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, my experience with Datarails has been positive. The platform streamlines financial reporting and planning by automating many of the manual tasks that typically slow down FP&A processes. The Excel integration is a standout feature, allowing our team to work efficiently in a familiar environment while still benefiting from centralized data and version control.

 ### 42. Very intuitive, data flow is fast and easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adil W. | Finance Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Upload of dataset easy and real-time updates to the file. Drill down is great but needs more working depending on the system you use.
Customer support is quick and great. And implementation was smooth.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

The fact that we have to upload the data manually, as they were unable to establish the connection with Oracle financial cloud system that we have. So integration to our accounting softerware could be a game changer.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

no manual entry and formula

 ### 43. Custom Reporting and Dashboards That Empower Our Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Facilities Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

The ability to create custom reporting and dashboards

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

There are some limitations that make it hard to create the reports we would like. For example, "zero suppression" only suppresses items with zero activity, not with an amount that adds to zero.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have many different revenue streams. Being able to consolidate them into one database is so efficient.

 ### 44. Great Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

I’m really impressed with how clean and customizable the reporting outputs are, which has made reviewing and analyzing data much easier. The customer support team has also been consistently responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

I still don’t find the platform very user-friendly, even after completing the Datarails University training.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datarails provides detailed profit-and-loss data based on our inputs, along with specialized KPIs specific to staffing agencies. This has been a major benefit for us, as these metrics weren’t something we had tracked previously.

**Official Response from Annie Miller:**

> Thanks so much for your review! We’re glad Datarails has been helping with your reporting and KPIs, and our Customer Success team is always here to support you with any questions along the way.

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

I like how easy it is for me to change the infrastructure

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assist in fiding wrong classification in out accounting system
Easy to allocations
Amazing visualizatoin

**Official Response from Anouk Amar:**

 ### 46. Datarails Version & Implementation Time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg M. | Chief Financial Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

I like the online portal for distribution to our main stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

I was never told that we would not have the version of Datarails that has full functionality. We are on a lessor version of Datarails which doesn't provide all that we need. Also, during the implementation process, it was tough getting much of Ben's time other than an hourly meeting each week, as he was overloaded with other implementations he was trying to accomplish at the same time as ours.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of Distribution of both our financial and operational data.

 ### 47. Seamless Data Aggregation and Excel Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

The aggregation of data from multiple sources into one place and the ability to directly call this information into excel!

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Excels that are uploaded cannot be worked on by multiple people at the same time

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplifying our financial review process by allowing actuals to flow directly from Netsuite into our various excel files

**Official Response from Chanel Itzhaki Ganor:**

> Thank you for the review! Having actuals flow directly from ERPs like NetSuite into your Excel files and simplifying your financial review process is exactly what we are here for.

We hear you on the multi-user limitation. This is actually a reflection of how Excel works natively, and ensures a full audit trail so every change can be traced back to a specific person. As always, please reach out if there is anything we can help with!

 ### 48. Great Data Integration, But Front-End Setup Is Confusing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

I like that it pulls data from all of our systems. Although we have not interfaced everything yet>

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

I wasn't aware of the front end build that needed to be done before we could go live. It's confusing and cumbersome.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None yet.

**Official Response from Chanel Itzhaki Ganor:**

> Thank you for the feedback. We are glad to hear that the data integration across your systems is already working well, and we are confident the value will become much clearer once the setup is complete.

Please do not hesitate to talk to your Customer Success Manager so we can get you to the finish line as smoothly as possible.

 ### 49. Time Saver

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Datarails eliminated several manually processes saving over 10 hours per month of labor.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

Set up of data mapping was time consuming.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time saving and reduces manual errors

**Official Response from Annie Miller:**

> Thank you for your review! We're happy to hear Datarails is saving you time and reducing manual errors. We appreciate your feedback and have passed it along. Thanks for sharing!

 ### 50. Exciting Tool to Help Finance Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Graham G. | FP&A Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Datarails?**

Integrating with our accounting and data systems has allowed us to build out our reporting package with far fewer tabs, giving me time back during month close to spend on analyzing the results and other KPIs. Our CSM Antonia helped tremendously with the training and set-up of our system.

**What do you dislike about Datarails?**

One of our internal systems is Quickbooks Desktop, which we have struggled to maintain a consistent connection to. This is more of a QBD issue than a DataRails issue but it has been frustrating.

**What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DataRails has given me lots of time back and helped increase the accruacy of our results. Having the live connection to QBO and QBD makes it so I don't have to re-download results and put them into an excel file and check that the updates flowed correctly to numerous tabs.
