You are able to build lists of companies that meet certain criteria. It shows data a lot of it's competitors do not provide (Alexa rank, etc.). You can scrape other sources and upload the list to Datanyze to populate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The email generator feature is basically garbage, and there seems to be no logic for the emails they charge you credits for and the ones they do not. Some very annoying user experience issues (I will get locked out of my account if I sign in from my home computer after leaving work). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The report building is easy to use and helpful. Especially for public sharing, downloading to CSV etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A large amount of the information pulled from datanyze seems outdated or plain incorrect. It was one of the first sales tools we signed on to for list building, contact finding, company information pulling, but we often found other tools to provide more up-to-date information. Still after pulling lists we find ourselves heavily scrubbing through outdated info. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best part about Datanyze is their easy to use interface that makes it very intuitive to start building reports. There is little to no downtime to learn how to use the tool. If you want to find companies that are web based - easily click on the web report. Looking for mobile companies? use the mobile report. Very straight forward. It took no time to train my team how to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I truly dislike is the data that comes from Datanyze. I have run in to countless problems ( too many to count) where the info their reports give me is inaccurate, not updated, or so wrong that it confuses me even more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Helped with a few email addresses. Was somewhat helpful in confirming contacts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only good for larger companies. I used it to prospect smaller startup consumer brands and it was useless for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really liked the connectivity to Outreach. This made it very easy and quick to quickly find emails and get them in to the funnel. Searching and finding contacts was also very intuitive and easy. It was a very easy tool to get ramped up quickly on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The data just wasn't accurate. Hoovers and Inside View has more accurate corporate data and 75/80 percent of the emails bounced. I would also get 404 errors anytime i tried the Linkedin link. If the both of these issues were resolved this would be an amazing tool to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that I can pull lists with such specifications - alexa, employee range, revenue, state, industry, etc. I also like the technology component - this is huge. I can get this data elsewhere but having it as part of the tool streamlines the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When I pull a list it often misses some of the most important companies in my patch in favor of lower quality companies. It has great info for the very large companies - like people, linkedin, emails, etc. but this is easy to find elsewhere. Where I need datanyze's help is the lesser known but still high revenue companies that I can't find info on LinkedIn, and datanyze doesn't just do a poor job here, but also inaccurate data. Datanyze is the industry benchmark for accuracy of data around web tools, and their recent addition of iOS and Android data provides another dataset that is otherwise hard to find accurately. Their UI is pretty easy to navigate for a non-technical person, and provides an easy way to build out lists of prospects or do research into specific technologies and companies. Their pricing scheme is incredibly frustrating. Each new format of ingesting the data (UI vs SFDC vs API) comes with an additional cost. Then, even after paying that additional cost, there are numerous roadblocks (rate limits, auto-locking of accounts, daily maximums) that get in the way of actually using the data. After recently purchasing API access (to data we already pay for accessing in different formats), it took about 40 emails back and forth before we were able to perform the action (a historical backfill of technology data for a specific DB of companies) we were interested in.
Also, their non-tech-data is much less accurate than their competitors - specifically their lead/email data and their company employee number figures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ability to search based on tech, find relevant people and find email addresses - all the prospecting process in one place... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only works like half 50% of the time:
- Tech search is inaccurate, results also include redirected URLs (which is stupid)
- LinkedIn search not working well (e.g. if brand name and company name is not the same, it should search for both)
- Email finder is somewhat fine but LinkedIn search messes it up: I start with a URL, then go to LinkedIn, add person to prospecting list and end up with a completely different URL for that person. Impossible to keep records in check this way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The tech stack search is cool if it's it a need to have. If it's a nice to have there are too many other flaws in the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of accuracy in funding rounds, emails, industry segments are awful and the customer service is slow. I was one told to fix things or flag inaccuracies myself on industry segments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
