When compared with other software like powerBi and Zoho Analytics, I would prefer to use DataMelt. Ans the community forum is very much useful for difficult and new queries day by day. **What do you dislike about DataMelt?** To access the large data sets which would be more convenient in software like Tableau. That feature is missing in this tool. A new person who doesn't know anything but knows only Excel will struggle a lot with using this software . So basics intro or tutorial videos can be posted on their youtube channel to increase the user base by making it convenient for new users. **What problems is DataMelt solving and how is that benefiting you?** As an analytic tool, Datamelt Solve provides a detail-oriented structural analysis which is very much good compared to the products in the market. On my personal opinion I would prefer an user to go with DataMelt. ### 2. Good Free Data Analysis Tool **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2020 **What do you like best about DataMelt?** DataMelt is a good open source software that has the basic components in order to do data analysis, numeric computation, statistic analysis, and graphing of the corresponding results. It is good for integration with Python/Java for improved analysis and data overlay. There is a community forum to tackle more difficult issues, but the forum is not large enough for unique issues. Another benefit is that it can be used on any hardware. **What do you dislike about DataMelt?** It is a more advanced type of program that is difficult for beginners to utilize. There is not much aid for those that have no type of data analysis or coding experience and is thus not recommended for them. A minor con of this software is there is a small fee for a large amount of documentation for examples that would be beneficial for some users. Still, there is an online manual but it is not comprehensive. **Recommendations to others considering DataMelt:** My recommendation is the same as my answer above, which is this software should only be used by advanced users in programming and data analysis. Those that do not have this experience will not be able to use the software appropriately and should explore more basic options or sources. **What problems is DataMelt solving and how is that benefiting you?** DataMelt is mainly being utilized to analyze data and code associated with research products. Again, it is pretty powerful in these concepts for more advanced users.
