Dataloop product is a great tool for the whole AI lifecycle including annotation, model evaluation, and model improvement by putting the human feedback in the loop. We have been working with dataloop for 2 years and they have been thriving by adding useful features to the product. Their customer success team and the technical support are awesome. Super helpful and super prompt in addressing all of the challenges/questions we have come up during these years. The python SDK is also a great tool for programmers to integrate the whole process into their internal workflows or processing pipelines. I would definitely recommend their product to anyone who cares about building accurate AI models and anyone who is looking for a one-stop shopping product that can address everything in building up a successful model. The only thing that sometimes gets us confused is the design of the product and, the number of buttons/tabs in each page. I am sure they can do a better job in re-designing the whole product and by keeping it simple. Remember simplicity has a lot of value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the robustness of the platform. Yes, it covers a multitude of data annotation needs but it also solves many issues surrounding workforce management, QA/QC, model integration, data transfer, and dataset management to name a few. The responsiveness and talented backing of the Dataloop engineering team is another factor that sets them apart from others in the industry. I've worked at both an AI company focused on leveraging computer vision to deliver cutting edge analysis as well as a data annotation company with 3000+ employees working on a myriad of use cases, and I find the following key qualities critical for a strong partnership, and I believe DataLoop has them:

1. Excellent engagement - If you have a problem, they triage and solve the problem quickly. If you have a question, the follow-up is immediate and comprehensive. If they don't have the solution, they will prioritize and deliver quickly (I'm pleasantly surprised by their ability to stay very closely to their delivery schedule)

2. Feature and data density - DataLoop has a critical and comprehensive set of features and data for the annotators, managers, and analysts. Often times, if you don't have the feature, you won't be able to find a satisfying solution.

3. Forward thinking - DataLoop is always pushing the boundaries to innovate upon the status quo to improve the process and increase the data quality (data quality is subjective, so to be more specific, they are focused on developing features that help catch common errors and allowing for custom features that allows the client to influence how their data is shaped) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The following are the areas where I would like to see improvements:

1. The UI needs to be more intuitive, but not necessarily simplified. It might be helpful to have 2 UI options, simple and complex, or the ability to configure the tool in a meaningful way to the specific client. If you're working on a variety of use cases that stretch the imagination, you need a more intuitive UI, but still an equally complex UI. If you are working on a similar set of use cases long-term, it may be better to have the option to hide some of the unnecessary features.

2. I would like to see more automated processes and workflows. For example, there should be an option to allow the annotated images to automatically be queued for QA rather than requiring a manual step. It would also be great if there were a feature that linked together different workflows. For example, the first workflow could be data sorting, then as the image is QAed and approved, it would automatically go into the discard or annotation workflow based on the results.
