It is so easy to connect to different data sources using data grip. The layout of console, result window, etc. are neatly arranged compared to other products on the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataGrip?

It takes some time to get used to all functionalities available. A help guide icon for every functionality would come handy for the user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easily perform CRUD operations and prevent mistakes with syntax error highlights"
5/5
What do you like best about DataGrip?

DataGrip allows me to perform CRUD operations without having to go to the server's website. In addition, DataGrip enables the user to open up multiple consoles to perform various tasks or have numerous drafts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataGrip?

When using this product for reading a database, the schema sometimes becomes partially unavailable. Therefore, the outcome could improve if the schema is automatically updated when changes occur to the underlying tables and views. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DataGrip is a smart, user-friendly SQL database program"
5/5
What do you like best about DataGrip?

I really appreciate that DataGrip will give suggestions when I am constructing a query. I don't use it that often, so it is nice that I don't have to have the exact syntax memorized each time I want to make a call. DataGrip offers suggestions of what I am trying to do. It will let me know if there are issues before I run it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataGrip?

There isn't anything specific that I dislike about the program. I don't use it often enough to have really mastered it. It is sometimes rather complicated, but that is to be expected with making database queries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy and extended support"
3.5/5
What do you like best about DataGrip?

The recommendation while writing SQL queries is on point. Also, suggestion on table names, columns, etc is too good. Library support is also great. Important to me is the dark mode, as I do not use those software where I have to spend a lot of time on-screen in Light Themes/more white light. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataGrip?

It is a very heavy app. A lot of memory space is required to run this. Also, impact is also significant on the battery life of my laptop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataGrip?

Datagrip allows doing very rich functionalities, so it takes more performance from the machine. Therefore we need some kind of high-performance machine to work with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DataGrip makes all your database management task easier."
5/5
What do you like best about DataGrip?

I like the fact that it simplifies the management and update of data in our databases. It also offers suggestions while you are creating SQL queries. I started out with PGadmin in the class I took, and Datagrip is 100% better than PGadmin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataGrip?

I currently have nothing I dislike about DataGrip. So far I have had no issues with its performance and it does everything I need. I highly recommend you try it out for yourself! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best application for data query and manipulation in the industry right now"
4/5
What do you like best about DataGrip?

It is super simple application to use where have so many features like auto-complete, integeration with almost all the industary standard DBs, scratch pads for rough work, quick data manipulation directly from in the queried tables, table schema representation, various ways to dump data, etc. Also, there are subtle benefits of JetBrains ecosystem like dark mode and similar UI compared to their other products like IntelliJ, Pycharm, etc. This makes it even more easier to use the application. Also, it is very easy to integrate this application with other applications of JetBrains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataGrip?

No free version was available when I started using it when I just wanted to experiment with the application. Switching the DB console in the same scratch pad is missing or it is not easy to configure at least. I would like to create different types of scratch pads and just switch my open DBs across them. "Fast and simple"
5/5
What do you like best about DataGrip?

The UI is attractive and very fast compared to SQL workbench. Each new query console saves it last result which is very helpful when comparing the results between two queries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataGrip?

Sometimes I get logged out of my enterprise account and I have to test connection and relogin. It's not that problematic, but I'm just cherry picking now. Would definitely recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A very powerful tool for database querying and manipulation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DataGrip?

DataGrip has a very clean user interface that matches the usability and style of other JetBrains products. It allows you to set up and organize connections to different databases in an easy way. It can also create multiple connections to the same database, allowing you to execute multiple queries in parallel - it is a huge time saver. There are many advanced features such as version control, debugging, and integration with other programming languages. Finally, the "Search Everywhere" feature is fantastic for locating tables or even columns within tables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataGrip?

I often encounter issues when loading the schemas of connected databases. There have been many times where schema is missing from the list, despite showing up in other alternative database software. The database import/export from file feature can be buggy or take extremely long to import small files. The program itself can take quite a long time to start up.
