DataGrail's support team is expeditiously responsive and always available. DataGrail is easy to use and navigate, and because of this has allowed the legal department to be able to shift data privacy-related consumer requests to other departments for handling. Additionally, DataGrail's ability to automatically create API connections with the company's third-party vendors at no added cost, even with vendors who do not already have connections in place, was unprecedented - no other vendors we explored offered this solution. **What do you dislike about DataGrail?** We have not experienced any downsides to using DataGrail. The on-boarding process has been seamless. Since we are still in the on-boarding stage, we are hoping to see if the live data map services will be helpful for the company and its purposes. **Recommendations to others considering DataGrail:** I recommend looking into into the customer support services and the service level commitment. The customer support service at DataGrail was the best. It really does the work for you. Additionally, the crew at DataGrail are always available for assistance and truly go above and beyond in helping make sure our experience with their product exceeds expectations. **What do you dislike about DataGrail?** There currently isn't a way to assign DSARs to individual users, often making it so we only have one individual using the platform at a time (to prevent overlap). Additionally, improved search functionality would be helpful - just in the event we need to review previously processed inquiries. **What problems is DataGrail solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since it is fully integrated into our different systems, we are able to provide the most accurate Access Request files in a way that keeps the information secure. We've realized that DataGrail has significantly reduced the processing time for each DSAR. Using the system, we are able to process a request within 30min-1 hour, with truly only 2 minutes of actual human interaction. E.g. naming the object being retrieved in the name of the API e.g. Account, Contact, Case and Asset in Salesforce. A nice to have item but not essential feature. Our experience of working with DataGrail has been very good, they helped us at every point of the process, from defining what success looks like to delivering on these individually. We've worked with Shawn, Mallory, Marc and Justine (mostly Justine) at various points, and they've all been wonderful to work with. The best part is I fully expect this level of responsiveness to be present after we go live. I have zero doubts that they will continue to support the product and field any questions or requests we may have in a timely manner. I have high hopes for the product itself as well. It will drastically reduce our manual processes in complying with (primarily) the CCPA and other privacy regulations. Fulfilling requests and keeping a "live data map" is key with compliance, and their product significantly reduces the labor involved in meeting both issues. **What do you dislike about DataGrail?** I wouldn't say I dislike anything in particular. The company and product are still very much in development, so there are some customization's and functionalities we've asked for that are not currently available (but are being developed for future release). It would be ideal if they could develop their own cookie compliance solution, as we would be able to bundle those services vs. looking elsewhere and having to "piece together" our solutions. Also, while the application data mapping is promised to take 72 hours for third parties, it can take up to two weeks for select 3rd party apps and some additional follow-up is definitely needed.
