He is a 10 /10 -- always super responsive to us, brings creative solutions to the table, he practices with levity and confidence, and he's just a really good guy! **What do you dislike about DataGrail?** The thing I dislike the most about DataGrail is 1) it' inability to tell me WHERE data is being processed. So I have to manually reach out to every single one of our vendors / suppliers to understand not just where they are *storing* data, but where they may have employees / contractors *accessing* that data. This is required to so I can understand where I need to do TIAs. It would be amazing if DataGrail could tell me where the data was being stored / processed AND help w/an automated TIA tool. 2) I also dislike the amount to manual work needed to maintain the tool, but I think every single tool out there has this same issue. 3) Lastly, if DG were able to achieve 1), it would be nice to have a visual global map to actually visualize data flows w/pictoral representations. **What problems is DataGrail solving and how is that benefiting you?** DataGrail automates our DSARs, but it still requires a lot of manual work on our end. DataGrail is supposed to provide us w/our Art.30 data map, too, but it's been a bit of a journey getting a fully completed one b/c of the manual effort required on our team (and we have so little bandwidth!) ### 4. The attention to detail is excellent -- exactly what you'd want in a data privacy tool. The platform is designed intuitively and streamlined, and the templates make it easy to get started. DataGrail makes the setup as easy as it can: the team reacts quickly to customer feedback and requests; the number of system integrations they have is great; and the help docs are superb. Most importantly, the implementation partners they assign to each account are kind, responsive, and attentive. I looked forward to speaking with them every week during our setup, and I continue to appreciate their patience and support whenever I (or others on my team) have questions. **What do you dislike about DataGrail?** Depending on the number of systems you have, the integration process can take time. There's not much DataGrail can do about this for security reasons, unfortunately, but it does slow the implementation process down. **What problems is DataGrail solving and how is that benefiting you?** DataGrail automates our data subject rights program -- request verification, access reports, deletion and correction requests. They are highly organized, efficient, detailed and have one of the fastest turnaround times I've seen in years. The Data Grail dashboard is also super user-friendly and intuitive with tons of educational step-by-step documentation. One of our biggest concerns before taking on data privacy compliance was the learning curve but Data Grail has ensured we have everything we need (between their platform and the rocktstar team behind it) to get successfully up and running. We no longer had to manually track required record-keeping in a spreadsheet and worry about accidental omissions - DataGrail has built-in audit trails to tackle this for each privacy request. Additionally, you can make notes on the privacy request if you need to include a reference. With the launch of their live data map feature, our privacy team discovered several new systems that can be integrated to automate PII removals. The tool will detect other SaaS-based systems that are integrated with the current integrated tools, constantly raising more visibility to the privacy team about where PII lives in our vendor ecosystem. My customer account reps have been absolute partners (even after a year). I can't imagine where we would be without them and everyone else that has joined calls to help on special projects. Their team's guidance and workflow recommendations have helped us reduce manual operations and make adjustments to increase efficiencies. Our adoption of DataGrail has only increased over time and it's great to have a knowledgeable partner as we look to the next year with CPRA going into effect. **What do you dislike about DataGrail?** I would like to be able to resolve a request without emailing the requester. The automatic data mapping tool and data discovery tool will prompt you to connect directly new systems as they are discovered to manage the data requests. **What do you dislike about DataGrail?** you need to work a lot with the enablement and professional services team to enable features as they are not available on the front-end, it is more expensive than other similar service providers. The Consent tool is not ready yet, currently being revamped (as of the time of this review) waiting to implement a single solution to manage the entire privacy and consent request. **Recommendations to others considering DataGrail:** Be sure to understand the traffic of data requests and tickets coming from the users, Datagrail is easier to set up for simple solutions and product usage, but it's more expensive which makes it great for Free high traffic product led-growth strategies, but if the type of data stored by the systems. its mode complex other solutions might suit better. Their onboarding and support staff are amazing. Our onboarding specialist, Katie, was great in mapping out milestones and holding us accountable for those milestones. She was also extremely patient in helping us with our questions and processes. Another high point for me was Datagrail's proactive support. I had an issue with a particular integration that I had tried to complete 2-3 times, and I eventually figured it out. Within several hours, support had noted my issue and automatically created a ticket and reached out to me to ensure that I was in a good place with this integration. **What do you dislike about DataGrail?** There's still quite a bit of high-touch interaction with Datagrail for onboarding the tool as well as for certain requests due to the complicated nature and maturity of the product. Several features were also considered add-ons, which was somewhat of a disappointment. **Recommendations to others considering DataGrail:** Take the time to go through a demo and ask questions. That really made a world of difference for us as we worked through our use cases to see how this would work with the tool. Also you will want to be clear on how the tool will query data from your own custom-developed app (if applicable). **What problems is DataGrail solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Datagrail's privacy tool to funnel all of our privacy requests (data held, data deletion, etc) to a single tracking system. We are relatively new to the tool, but we anticipate that this will help us greatly reduce the manual efforts involved. The whole value of the tool is that it can tie into third-party APIs to pull data, and I think the tool does a really good job of doing that. ### 23.
