**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Datadog's primitives are all very good. Their data intake is fast and (usually) reliable, their graphing widget is flexible and works in many places, and their ability to introduce new products combining those (like the CI insights tool) is fantastic. It's one of the few products at work I enjoy using

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Their handling of their outage earlier this year (in 2023) was bad. They were down for almost a day and while they recovered without data loss, they did a poor job communicating during the incident and did not proactively release the post-mortem (despite their CEO saying it was public on an earnings call!).

We consistently have poor interactions with Datadog support - they go out of their way to avoid talking to you and suggesting solutions that have nothing to do with your environment. Datadog charges such a cost premium - and we pay for the fancy support - that that's simply unacceptable. Their support should be more like AWS and less like Atlassian in terms of actually being helpful and proactive.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly just basic observability for our compute. It does a good job of letting you visualize performance of applications, particularly Kubernetes application in a helpufl way.

  ### 44. Datadog make life easy

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Easy to setup monitor, dashboards and alarms and seamless integration with other apps like slack

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Documentation can be improved, sometime it's difficult to find proper documentation to imple certain features and some pre-defined templa would be greatand eay to onboard

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datadog is helping to analyse and solve issue in code and server. Tracing is just amazing you can trace exactly how much time each server is taking and what the qps required.

  ### 45. Boosting Observability in IT Infrastructure Administration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Comprehensive Observability: Datadog collects and visualizes data from various sources, including servers, containers, applications, and logs, to provide a comprehensive picture of an organization's IT infrastructure.

User-Friendly Interface: Datadog has an intuitive and user-friendly interface.

Robust Alerting System: Users can set up alerts based on custom conditions or predetermined thresholds with Datadog's highly flexible alerting system.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Datadog doesn't have mobile support. If there is an app for Datadog, it would become quite handy and II wouldn't have to carry my laptop everywhere.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Proactive Issue Identification and application Performance Optimization

  ### 46. One of the best monitoring tool for infrastructure/services and lot more

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

One of the best monitoring tool for infrastructure/services.
Easy to identify the error with synthetic tests.
Excellent support when we are stuck or need more details.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Somewhat complex when it comes to integrate with K8s.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to monitor the API and URLs with easy tracking of errors.
It quickly fetch the result and alert the team to act.

  ### 47. Datadog provide powerful mointoring and analytical planform cable.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sharique m. | software engineer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

it has a very friendly and simplified user interface. the support and account teams of Datadogs take the initiative to support their users with personalized training on Datadog features.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

in the Datadog the issue we are facing is licensing cost of the software is very high. its inability to integrate with third-party software is not good and even we are not able to find much documentation or learning videos to get familiar with the advanced features.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

as it is a fairly new application we cannot find much documentation and learn advanced Datadog technology on the internet. As data dog support organized team meeting for personalized advanced topics knowledge for our company.

  ### 48. Datadog aka DD for monitoring systems at scale

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit K. | Software architect, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

So many Out of the box integrations which makes monitoring almost your entire tech stack is super fast easy and easy.
For example, earlier I was part of the search team and was managing 25+ large Elasticsearch clusters and Elasticsearch as a software has its own specialized metrics which we need to monitor and get alerted.
We didn't have to do anything with Datadog(DD) as Datadog already had a Out of the box integration with Elasticsearch and documentation for same can be easily found on google for ex: https://docs.datadoghq.com/integrations/elastic/?tab=host
This made our life super easy as we can just start monitoring large system without much configuration.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

Out of the box integrations are good but when you need to add more metrics which are not available, it requires a effort and sometime their documents can be confusing and outdated esp. with Out of the box integration where that software is changing rapidly.
Second it can be costly if you need to monitor large systems and is tight on the budget.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

building end to end observability platform and it helps software companies to build and run software with insights and confidence.

  ### 49. Datadog: the most powerful single pane of glass for observability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Single pane of glass for all observability subjects, really powerful and everyone correctly tag their services.
You can integrate your runbook also and you get a great support in case of advanced use cases.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

The cost can be high if you are careless about your log ingestion and other things

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analyze is made easy in case of outage, to have a quick glance of the status of a service. With nice metrics and kpi you can get the most of your infrastructure and be really reactive about incidents or abnormal behaviours.

  ### 50. Datadog helped me to find abusers in my System.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suraj S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Datadog?**

Detailing of Logs & Ease of Use also i like the easiness to implement and connect it with our System & Software..

Datadog came up with a simple yet unique software which helped me to tackle different attacks & abusive activities by our competitors.

**What do you dislike about Datadog?**

I'm totally satisfied with the datadog & i'm going to share it with our colleagues too, so they can also use it to tackle these things if they need it.

I'm totally satisfied with the services offered by datadog.

**What problems is Datadog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was searching for a Metrics Software which can help me to check the detailed logs of our users when our competitors tried to sue us and ruin our business..

My develper told me about datadog & he set it up for me and now my competitors are gone out from my system as we detected & catched them same day with Log Monitoring.

Thanks to DataDog Log Management.
