Easy to use, with a speedy and accurate data aggregation capability. User-Friendly interface with proper documentation for helping at each step. The onboarding experience was quite straightforward. I’m saving time and energy which I earlier spent on manually fetching, cleaning, and loading data. Integration from various sources into the data warehouse (I use Amazon Redshift hosted on our VPN) was simple and DataChannel’s data pipelines are easy to set up and work seamlessly once they are scheduled. In case of a rare error, the support team is quick to fix them and proactively notifies you of possible inconsistencies that might have occurred while fetching data. What do you dislike about DataChannel? Mostly nothing as the product does what it says it would. Detailed visibility into the reasons for the errors in the pipeline would be a nice feature to have. My team and I use DataChannel for aggregating data from Google Analytics, Salesforce, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, Apple Ads, Postgres, FTP, and some ad-hoc files, and loading into an AWS Redshift data warehouse. I purchased it considering it only suitable for data aggregation, however as I started using it, I realized that it also has a powerful SQL-based transformation engine which really speeds up the time-to-insights ratio. What do you dislike about DataChannel? - Data transformation into something analysable does not come out-of-the-box for these platforms, so you will need expertise in transforming these with SQL or similar to properly pass values and dimensions. - Setup process turned out to be slightly complex for us in the beginning. We have a lot of data sources, from website performance to ad spend data, that are limited by platform - whether it be lookback period, user knowledge of these specialist platforms or how you analyse the data. Abundance of connectors. Most of the major data platforms which we use already have existing and updated connectors on DataChannel. This enabled us to quickly integrate data from ad platforms to our CRM data and web tracking data to get an end to end view.
