What do users say?

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise DataCamp's hands-on interactive lessons, noting that coding directly in the browser helps concepts stick better than video-only courses. The bite-sized, structured format is valued for making upskilling easy to fit around busy schedules, and many appreciate the helpful AI assistant. A common limitation is that some courses feel too guided or lack depth for advanced learners.

"Datacamp Keeps Me Current and Confident With In-Demand Data Skills"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

Datacamp’s wide variety of course resources has been a real confidence booster, especially during this challenging job market. With funding uncertainties in my field, these courses have given me the opportunity to strengthen my résumé and grow my confidence by learning new skills and exploring emerging data tools.

Becoming more familiar with new AI products and understanding how they work has been particularly valuable. Learning and practicing SQL has already been instrumental in my current role, and I’m excited to continue building on that foundation by developing skills in dashboard creation and AI-related projects. Datacamp has truly helped me stay current and competitive in a rapidly changing environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

Sometimes I don't have time for all the quizzes, would prefer to be able to go through the whole course without taking the quizzes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you, Kim! It's great to hear that DataCamp has been a real confidence booster during such a competitive time, and that SQL is already making a difference in your day-to-day work. Using the platform for onboarding new staff at your agency is exactly the kind of impact we love to hear about. We appreciate the feedback on quizzes too. Best of luck building out those dashboard and AI skills!

"DataCamp’s Wide Topic Range and Hands-On Practice Build Real Confidence"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

The thing I like most about DataCamp is the wide range of topics it offers in Data Science, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. It has helped me appreciate the field more because I can explore different areas and continuously build my knowledge. I also value the ability to practice directly on the platform, especially through SQL exercises, coding challenges, and hands-on case studies. These practical activities help me improve my technical skills, gain real-world experience, and develop confidence in solving data-related problems Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

One thing I dislike about DataCamp is that some courses have limited explanations or do not go deep enough into certain topics. While the practical exercises are helpful, some concepts would be easier to understand if they included more detailed explanations, real-world examples, and deeper discussions to build a stronger foundation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you, Martin! It's wonderful to hear that the breadth of topics and hands-on exercises are making a real difference in building your confidence and technical skills. We hear you on wanting deeper explanations in some areas, and that kind of feedback genuinely helps us improve. Keep exploring and keep building!

"Gamified learning opportunities"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

The way you can learn and gamify challenges and that you literally have to pay attention and get certificates that will carry value to your personal and private, as well as your work carreer and make your persona more interesting for HR. Classes are simple, smooth and seem that is very much up to date. I get it for free trough my employment benefit so i can't comment about it. I don't like the AI application of it, i rather have real teachers but is too expensive i guess. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

Has to be "company" related and can't be linkedin adding your certificates, but the website itself can be more 'smoother" and less aggresive colours and let you chose what you can see and want to see. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you, Nicolas! We love hearing that the gamified challenges and career-relevant certificates are making a real difference for you. Your feedback on smoother navigation and a calmer color palette is genuinely helpful and the kind of input that shapes how we improve. Keep leveling up those Python skills!

"Interactive, Structured Learning for Real-World Data & AI Skills"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

DataCamp has a clean and user-friendly interface that makes it easy to navigate courses, tracks, and assessments. The platform is well organized, and the bite-sized lesson format helps learners stay engaged without feeling overloaded. The interactive coding environment is one of its biggest strengths because it allows you to practice immediately while learning. DataCamp is most helpful for people who want a practical, accessible, and structured way to learn data and AI skills. Its biggest upsides are the interactive learning experience, clean interface, and strong focus on real-world technical skills. It is especially valuable for learners who prefer guided progression and hands-on practice over purely theoretical content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

What I find least helpful about DataCamp is that, although it’s very strong for structured learning and guided practice, it can sometimes feel too controlled, overly simplified, or not fully reflective of real-world working environments. It’s useful for building foundational skills, but there are drawbacks depending on what a learner or organization needs, especially if they’re looking for something that feels closer to day-to-day work. DataCamp can create a comfortable learning experience without always preparing users for the ambiguity and complexity of real-world work. Its downsides are most noticeable for advanced learners, teams needing stronger integration, or users looking for highly current and deeply applied AI content. It is still a useful platform, but it often works best as one part of a broader learning strategy rather than a complete solution on its own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you, Kasturi! It means a lot to hear the interactive coding environment and bite-sized format are landing well for you. Your point about bridging to more complex, real-world scenarios is something we take seriously. We're always working to close that gap for learners ready to go deeper. Really appreciate the thoughtful review.

"Easy-to-Follow Lessons with AI Help That Keeps Learning Sticking"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

What I like most about Datacamp is that I can apply what I learn right away before moving on to the next lesson. I also like the AI feature, which helps me a lot when I get stuck. This makes it easier to retain a lot of what I’ve learned before leaving the platform, and the content is very easy to follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

What I dislike about DataCamp is that when I’m trying to submit a project, if I’ve unfortunately opened too many DataCamp tabs, I can’t submit my project until I close all of those tabs. It took me a while to understand what was happening, and I spent a lot of time making changes and deleting parts of my project because I thought the problem was with my solution. That’s what I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Really glad the apply-as-you-go approach and AI help are making the content stick, Ismail. The multi-tab project submission issue is a frustrating one -- we'll make sure it gets flagged for the team. Thanks for the detailed feedback!

"Easy to Use, Flexible Learning at Your Own Pace"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

It’s easy to use, and I can learn at my own pace while making my own schedule. Some weeks I’m able to dedicate more time than others, and this flexibility works well for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

I haven’t found a downside yet, but for learners who want to receive real-time feedback from an instructor, that could be a deterrent. This works best for learners who are self-motivated and learn by doing, since there’s minimal lecture and it’s mainly hands-on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

That story is wonderful, Lindy -- a clinical background paired with tech skills is a genuinely powerful combination. Really glad DataCamp is helping you explore tools at your own pace without the overhead of formal classes.

"AI Trainer Feels Like a 24/7 Tutor—DataCamp Makes Learning Addictive"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

Honestly, the best thing about DataCamp is how it makes me feel like I'm learning 10 different things at once without getting overwhelmed. I've gained a much broader understanding of data, AI, programming, and many other topics that I probably wouldn't have explored on my own. The AI Trainer is an absolute game changer—it feels like having a personal tutor available 24/7 who never gets tired of my questions. Whenever I'm stuck, it explains concepts in a way that actually clicks. DataCamp has turned what could have been a boring learning experience into something surprisingly addictive. Every course feels like unlocking a new superpower! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

There isn't much to dislike, but if I had to pick something, some courses can feel a bit too guided, so it's possible to complete exercises without fully understanding the deeper concepts. I also wish there were more advanced real-world projects that combine multiple topics into one practical challenge. Other than that, the learning experience is excellent, and the AI Trainer sets a very high bar that makes me wish every course had even more AI-powered interaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

A 24/7 tutor that never gets tired of your questions -- that's exactly what we were going for with the AI Trainer! Your point about more advanced cross-topic projects is a great one, Sava, and something we'd love to build more of.

"Modern, High-Performance Courses with Helpful Hints, AI Summaries, and Great Support"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

I love how the courses are structured: first the theory is explained, then there’s a practical demonstration before you’re encouraged to have a go yourself. If you get stuck at any point, the hints are really useful for guiding you in the right direction. I love how things like Excel and Power BI are integrated as a web session and the course files are available to download, so users can choose to use their desktop version or used the integrated web session. The performance of the app is excellent, and the UI is sleek and modern. When I lost progress on my account one time, customer support were able to quickly restore it. I also love the AI summaries you get when you get questions wrong, as well as the AI courses they offer and webinars too. I would describe DataCamp as a very 'up to date' company with regards to technology, UI, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

Sometimes the web sessions have to reload every now and then, and there could be better and more MCQs, especially for the skill tracks that lead to a certification. I’d also love it if ChatGPT/Claude/Copilot could run as integrated web sessions, because my company has banned them, so I can’t take those courses unless I’m on my personal laptop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Such a detailed and thoughtful review, Prabhat -- thank you! Really glad the course structure, AI summaries, and customer support have all been working well. Your point about more MCQs for certification tracks is good feedback, and noted.

"Practical, Well-Structured Learning with Hands-On Exercises"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

What I like most about DataCamp is how practical and well-structured the learning experience feels. The courses break down complex topics like Python, SQL, and data analysis into manageable lessons, and the hands-on exercises make it easy to learn by doing rather than just watching videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

What I dislike about DataCamp is that some courses feel too beginner-focused and don’t always go deep enough into advanced, real-world applications. The interactive exercises are helpful, but they can sometimes be repetitive or overly guided, which makes it possible to finish lessons without truly mastering the concepts. I’d also like to see more large-scale projects that better simulate real workplace scenarios and encourage deeper, more practical learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Support Team of DataCamp

Thank you, Rashaun! Really glad the practical, hands-on structure is working well for you. Your feedback on depth and larger-scale projects is genuinely appreciated and exactly the kind of input that helps us keep improving. We're continually expanding advanced content, so keep an eye out. Great to have a Financial Analyst with your focus on real-world application learning with us!

"Transformative Learning Platform with Minor Hiccups"
5/5
What do you like best about DataCamp?

I use DataCamp to learn about data and prepare myself for the future as data skills are highly demanded. I appreciate that DataCamp provides solutions and training paths, making it easy to find the learning stream I want to follow. It also offers a practice environment to test what I've learned, which reinforces my knowledge. The layout is very easy to navigate, and the content creators are informative and interactive, making learning fun and easy. The creators are well-rehearsed on the subject matter and help reduce the fear of tackling advanced topics. DataCamp is more recognized than Udemy and easier to navigate. The initial setup was very simple and easy to access, as my company provided us with licenses. I enjoy learning so much that I even want to be on DataCamp during my lunch break at work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataCamp?

Some of the models come with errors and videos can't be viewed, leaving you to read the transcripts of the video so you can carry on with the course. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
