Top Rated Databox Alternatives
We're able to pull data from multiple sources into a single-page dashboard for our clients and our own business. Something we can't always do in other software packages (such as Marketing and CRM), so we rely on DataBox to give us all the metrics we need in a single view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, the setup of data sources and selection of the right data points/fields/metrics is complicated. Though this is less a DataBox issue and more relating to our experience with the many sources we have to draw data from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's easy to embed a databoard into a third-party website or your own member portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Summary: We did a soft launch with 5 clients who actually had access to Databox databoards. It was a constant headache. Clients asking for databoard repairs because the metrics and temapltes provided by Databox were always broken. We tested for two years and left. I am not convinced they are even a real company at this point. Constant issues, they always play the victim, and they can take months to fix a critical issue.
Advice: try any other company first. Databox will waste your time and your money and give you a headache.
Review rant: After 2 years of trying, we were never able to fully launch Databox with our clients because there is always another issue with Databox. Their templates break, individual metrics stop working. Their support team blames the client but then when Databox is informed the broken metrics are included in the templates they made, then they act all confused and pass along the blame. Meanwhile days to months go by.
One issue with them took two months to fix. Meanwhile this was a huge issue that prevented me from even testing the platform with clients. The issue did not allow me to choose individual Facebook or Instagram accounts. Databox would by default pick the first IG or Facebook account on the list. So when trying to create a Databoard for a client, we were unable to do so until they fixed the issue. This took them almost two months. I emailed them about it like 10 times as well over the course of the month. Most emails were ignored.
Overall this is not a platform I would recommend to anyone.
Runaway from them and take them off your consideration list. Safe money and a headache. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Databox makes it simple to interact with data in ways you never thought possible. I can easily sync it to my Google Analytics, Hubspot, Adwords, LinkedIn, and other tools to get a precise view of marketing attribution and follow the data to discover holes in strategy. I love this tool. It was easy to implement. I found myself using it weekly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface has a learning curve for new users, but once you adapt to the tool, it saves you a ton of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very adaptable solution allowing you to report on almost anything you want as it has so many data sources. They also keep adding new functionality with Reports and Benchmarks recently added. These features will undoubtedly go on to be very, very useful once the 'Beta' phase is complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm not sure what has happened with the customer support team at Databox but they are fairly unresponsive these days. Formerly they were the best out there, super-helpful and super-responsive (I'd know because the nature of my work means that I consult martech support teams on an almost daily basis) but currently sitting on a query I made 24 hours ago (the Intercom chat bot said 'a few hours') without any communication and this has been a familiar pattern over the last few months. I hope it's just a blip because it would be sad to think that the company are letting this slide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use, breadth of data sources, voluminous templates, very easy on the eyes and brain, and truly interactive/fresh data, including in Reports (which are live-dashboard-based presentations) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionally bugs and throughput issues/lag when editing custom metrics, but more than offset by their R&D into resolutions and new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
very easy to connect different social channels, many matrics available to choose for reporting and UI is very cool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
there's nothing I dislike about Databox so far Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best part about databox is that I don't have to work on the raw data to prepare dashboards for my organization. Databox integrates with other softwares like QuickBooks Online or Sendgrid and pulls all the data, syncs, and prepares dashboards. It gives the option to either use their pre-built templates or one can custom-choose the metrics. Customer support is otherwise good and prompt. We use this to create dashboard for our customers to view metrices on daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The pre-built templates are easy to use and implement however if any custom metrics needs to be created, it becomes a bit complex at times. They do provide 3 onboarding sessions but I am afraid as it would not cover all the uses of the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can create very insightful reports and metrics with the help of databox and their templates Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The goals section needs a lot of improvement when it's validated with your reports section. The intersection is not great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was a good system and easy to use. We had it connected to many different datasources. The team had been helpful in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
they sent me an email as my subscription payment method was declined due to a new card. The link in the email presented me with a box to enter my credit card details which I entered the new one and entered it. Then about 5 minutes later I recived a bill for $6,900 Australian dollars for a year! I never had a yearly subscription and they changed it without my concent in a very misleading and infact fraudulent way, without showing me. I have since spent a week trying to get their billing team to reverse it but they have not and now I've spent 4 hours with my bank disputing the transaction. They obviously thought that getting the year in advance was worth me writing this review. They have now lost a customer who would have spent that over the next year anyway and beyond. Absolutly unscrupulous and dishonest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Databox is an absolute must in my tech stack. After trying most dashboard software out there, I've seriously come to appreciate the ease of use, large number of integrations, and great support that this product offers.
As per the title, the visualizations that can be created using calculated and custom metrics are top-notch and make tracking KPIs a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to see a stronger forecasting feature as well as a 6sense integration (if possible) in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We like the style of Databox. It doesn't look dated and has been very impressive to our clients. We also love the variety of data connections and ease of set-up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The data visualization options could use more customization options, particularly with text editing. It's great for basic live dashboards, but we struggle to use this for complete reports because it doesn't give us much of an option for complete analysis. The reports feature is on its way but is not there yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
