  ### 6. Useful Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben C. | Enterprise Account Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Databook?**

I appreciate the powerpoint, value maps, and organization charts it provides. It is a very useful tool when scrambling to learn a lot about an account in a short amount of time.

**What do you dislike about Databook?**

Not much, I'd like to see them add more accounts but understand that takes time. When requesting accounts they have responded in a timely manner and provided what I requested. I would like to see more integration with AWS solutions and sales plays that could be applicable based off client's historical engagement with AWS, our partners, and possibly publicly accessible data than cross referenced with industry and vertical specific plays.

**What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving me quick breakdowns on accounts when I have over 100 to manage and prospect into. Also helps me start a rough draft of sales plays that could be applicable to my territory and customers.

  ### 7. Game-Changer for Strategic Selling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Databook?**

What I really appreciate about Databook is how effortlessly it fits into the daily workflow—it's intuitive to use, easy to implement, and doesn’t demand a heavy lift to get started. The interface is clean and user-friendly, making it simple to extract high-impact insights without getting lost in complexity. It integrates smoothly with tools like Salesforce, which helps keep everything centralized and efficient. The feature set is robust yet focused, offering just the right balance of strategic depth and usability. I find myself using it regularly, especially when preparing for executive conversations or analyzing account potential. Plus, their customer support is genuinely responsive and hands-on, which adds a lot of confidence in the platform’s long-term value.

**What do you dislike about Databook?**

While Databook is highly effective, it can feel a bit limited for niche industries where data depth isn’t as strong. Occasionally, there are slight delays with CRM integration, and some executive insights could be more up to date. Small gaps, but worth noting.

**What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Databook helps solve the challenge of quickly understanding a company’s strategic priorities and market position from an executive perspective. Instead of spending hours on manual research, I get clear, actionable insights that help me tailor sales strategies and client conversations with precision. It’s significantly improved how I prioritize accounts, identify key business drivers, and align offerings to what really matters to decision-makers, ultimately leading to more focused outreach and stronger engagement.

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Databook?**

I love being able to use Databook to understand my customer. I don't want to read all the financial filings to get the information that Databook makes easy to find and also to understand. **Reviewed by:** Maggie S. | Senior Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Databook?**

Such an efficient way to understand my customer or prospect key success factors to help me tailor my pitch to their top of mind. I also use internally to have my matrix team understand the pains and opportunities of the customers we serve.

**What do you dislike about Databook?**

This is a bit obvious, but privately help company data can be sparse. I worked at D&B so I get that it can be hard to get financial data on private companies. That said, I can still find some good summary info on some private equity behemoths.

**What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saves me so much time vs review annual statements, proxy's and 10-K's. Also, the push notifications on newsworthy events helpful. ### 23. Development of POV for General Motors in Databook

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave K. | Director, General Motors Global Business, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Databook?**

1. Great external data integration, 2. Great peer comparisons, 3. Organization of Dashboard, 4. Great linkage of financials to Schneider Electric Value Propositions & Solutions, 5. Great training, 6. Management Intent feature is great, 7. Automation of PPT decks produced, 8. Value Driver maps are useful

**What do you dislike about Databook?**

1. Would like to see more customizability in general - adding custom management intent search terms, adding custom business case financial/value drivers etc, 2. Simplify all of the financial acronyms as the users are not financial statement trained - i.e. don't use multiple names for the same term (EBIT Margin - Operating Margin - Profitability all mean the same thing etc), 3. Should add access to Income Statement/Balance Sheet/Cash Flow Statements for each account, 4. The linkage between value drivers and roadmaps needs to be better explained, 5. The Schneider Electric solutions are way too vague and don't easily lend to understanding exactly what we're proposing to sell, 6. The output for the Roadmaps should show a visual of the solution and how it affects the financial/value driver - example how Remote Operations actually improves gross margins by reducing specific COGS components like lowering mfg costs by reducing power system downtime etc, 7. Strategic Priorities needs to be customizable as the AI doesn't capture them properly, 8. The customer case studies need to be industry/segment relevant - those that are suggested for General Motors are not relevant etc.

**What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Faster external data aggregation saves me time to look and find, 2. Accurate competitive comparisons, 3. Interpretation of financials to recommend discussion points helps me laser into opptys

**Official Response from Matt Conley:**

> We really appreciate you sharing your experience with Databook, as well as this specific feedback. We have passed along feedbakc to the team and very much look forward to continuing to evolve Databook for you and other customers. Thanks again!

Some of my accounts aren't listed in the database so it takes some time to get the information I need. However, the team is always great about responding when they get my companies listed in the database!

**What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does a lot of my research and work for me to come up with a hypothesis on my accounts

  ### 33. Databook provides an accurate deep understanding of companies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel C. | Enterprise Sales Development, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Databook?**

Databook's ability to give you great information quickly and in an accurate way is above anything I've seen. Giving you a clear understanding of companies based off factual information has been huge.

**What do you dislike about Databook?**

Private companies can be tougher to understand.

**What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding companies problems before I start to reach out to them. Databook gives me areas that my software could benefit them while showing the company I'm already an expert on them.

  ### 34. Bar-none the best research, insights, and advice this career tech salesperson has ever encountered

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Databook?**

Very detailed research, easy to navigate, recommendations based on company financial reports and new, as well as peers. Use cases aligned to our tech, ranked in order of importance. Makes prepping for meetings much quicker and arms me with relevant talking points that resonate with executives.

**What do you dislike about Databook?**

For accounts that are Privately held the Databook experience is far less useful, but still yields insights and value. Databook compares Private companies to peers that are public, but sometimes that's tough and not an exact match.

**What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The #1 problem that Databook solves is saving me time when preparing for a meeting, prepping an executive on a meeting, or building an account plan or value map. The time saved is enormous.

**What do you dislike about Databook?**

The AI is very detailed, but there's something to be said about a standardized profile. With AI, you have to know specific questions to ask. With a static profile, everything is there. A combination of standard profiles AND being able to ask deeper questions is a powerful combination.

**What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Less discovery time and faster progress towards results is the biggest win for Databook.
