What do you like best about Databook?

Databook provides me curated content about my customers. It saves me hours of research by providing customer content in an easy to absorb fashion. It is my go resource to when I am working with a new customer and during continuous customer account planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databook?

Some of the information can appear to be dated when a customer has not published new earnings or press releases. Perhaps, some clearer indication of when the next information update (10K, earnings release, etc) might be coming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?

Diving into a customer's strategic priorities, understanding their business and financial cash flow, learning "how they make money". This helps me understand how I can bring solutions and ideas to the customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Product Description

Databook’s SRM platform interprets billions of data signals across 2 million+ corporate disclosures, news articles and CRM data—but we don’t stop there. In addition to revolutionizing how sellers do research, Databook is now offering the first real-time account strategy application: Strategy Builder. Strategy Builder lets sellers quickly assemble and continuously update strategies based on buyer signals, and drive consistent go-to-market execution in real-time based on those strategies. Strategy Builder also lets sellers share strategies with GTM teams at the touch of a button. And if customer circumstances change, strategies update themselves when viewed.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Most sales tech is tactical in nature—meaning it helps sellers execute tasks—whereas Databook’s platform is all about strategy. Strategy is how sellers connect what they’re selling to a buyer’s urgent needs. Without a strategy (and we mean an actual, documentable plan), your outreach is simply noise no buyer wants to hear.

Databook is on a mission to end mechanized sales. We believe in people—not personas. Relevance—not volume. Relationships—not transactions. Our platform re-humanizes the sales motion, allowing you to build relevant and meaningful engagements that are:
• Specific to buyers’ business objectives.
• Tailored to the right stakeholders.
• Synced with buyers’ own strategies and budget cycles.

And we do this without sacrificing scalability, speed or ease of use.

What do you like best about Databook?

1. Great external data integration, 2. Great peer comparisons, 3. Organization of Dashboard, 4. Great linkage of financials to Schneider Electric Value Propositions & Solutions, 5. Great training, 6. Management Intent feature is great, 7. Automation of PPT decks produced, 8. Value Driver maps are useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databook?

1. Would like to see more customizability in general - adding custom management intent search terms, adding custom business case financial/value drivers etc, 2. Simplify all of the financial acronyms as the users are not financial statement trained - i.e. don't use multiple names for the same term (EBIT Margin - Operating Margin - Profitability all mean the same thing etc), 3. Should add access to Income Statement/Balance Sheet/Cash Flow Statements for each account, 4. The linkage between value drivers and roadmaps needs to be better explained, 5. The Schneider Electric solutions are way too vague and don't easily lend to understanding exactly what we're proposing to sell, 6. The output for the Roadmaps should show a visual of the solution and how it affects the financial/value driver - example how Remote Operations actually improves gross margins by reducing specific COGS components like lowering mfg costs by reducing power system downtime etc, 7. Strategic Priorities needs to be customizable as the AI doesn't capture them properly, 8. The customer case studies need to be industry/segment relevant - those that are suggested for General Motors are not relevant etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. Faster external data aggregation saves me time to look and find, 2. Accurate competitive comparisons, 3. Interpretation of financials to recommend discussion points helps me laser into opptys Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Databook?

Imagine needing to research a company financials, leadership mandates, ranking against competitors, what has hit the wires like an investor report, press release and then create an outbound campign with key value drivers and that process can take 5-10 hours. Now think about clicking a hndful of buttons to generate that data on demand. THAT is the power of Databook for an AE who needs more touches and less administrative overhead to prospect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databook?

Candidly there is nothing I dislike as it has eliminated multiple tools I used to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?

Response from Matt Conley of Databook

What do you like best about Databook?

That it consolidates all the public information about my clients and targets to one place with the GPT tool to help me search, sort, prep and learn more about them. It has saved me prep time and given me better insights and points of view to share with my clients and targets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databook?

Some of the insights can be duplicative across accounts and a bit generic. I wish there was more industry information available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?

Better prep for internal sales meetings and external meetings with clients. It has helped me stay current on what is happening at these companies and develop a point of view. It's making me smarter about my clients and saving time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Databook?

Our team has been using this powerful customer insights tool, and the results have been phenomenal. Not only has it saved us valuable time by streamlining our customer research process, but the depth of customer insights it provides for account planning and executive briefing is simply outstanding. The tool's intuitive interface and comprehensive data have empowered us to make well-informed decisions and tailor our approach to better serve our clients. Highly recommended for any sales team looking to elevate their strategies and drive meaningful customer engagements! The best part of the tool is that the way the information is aggregated and presented to show how our offers can solve the customer's business challenges and help them meet their goals.

I also appreciate all the support our team received from Databook. They are truly passionate about the user experience and the value the tool brings to our sales team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databook?

The only thing that I dislike is not having the same level of detailed information on private companies, government entities and local municipalities. This is completely understandable because of the limits on financial data for these types of companies. On the positive side though.... in most cases on the private accounts Databook still offers an impressive analysis of the company's publicly traded peer group. This can still be quite helpful for discussion topics with the customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our sellers are no longer spending long hours combing through 10Ks and transcripts. The time spent on account planning has drastically decreased while the quality of their account plans are increasing. The sales team is able to spend more time with the customer talking about how we can help solve their toughest challenges. They are also better prepared to talk to the executive leadership about their challenges and goals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Databook?

I like that the Databook team seems to continually be rolling out new features that actually benefit their customers. I also appreciate the wealth of data and insights that they make available to you while trying to provide an easy to use interface. Because of the information availalbe, it keeps me coming back time and again for more insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databook?

Connecting a recommended solution to an actual account could use more automation to reduce the time needed on the user side to generate the use cases. I also wish there were more ways to integrate data from Databook into other proprietary systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Databook solving and how is that benefiting you?

I go to Databook to collect intelligence on accounts my team works on for Account Based Marketing. It has made me a more intelligent marketer who can better work with sales teams as a result. It also has helped me identify value propositions and business drivers I can use as part of a marketing campaign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
