I have been at a company that uses Databasics for our timesheets for about 2 years now. Even when I first started with the company I was able to easily figure out how to use the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DATABASICS Time & Expense?

I dislike that I have to click the save button after adding time. I would like to just be able to add my time and close the window. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The expense portion is very confusing. When uploading a photo, you have to go through an extensive process and the breakdown between billable and nonbillable doesn’t make sense Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DATABASICS Time & Expense?

This might be an organizational error, but every timesheet comes pre-populated with a "holiday" hours line, even when there was no paid holiday. We have to go back and delete the line before we can continue process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering DATABASICS Time & Expense:

It appears that DATABASICS is one of the leaders in the timesheet field, and it's working well for our organization of 275 people. I'm not an expert on time management systems, but I would definitely consider DATABASICS as a contender when making timekeeping decisions for your organization! What problems is DATABASICS Time & Expense solving and how is that benefiting you?

Provides us the opportunity to use many different account codes (some of our departments run on grants, so attributing hours to each funding source is important for our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DATABASICS Time & Expense?

Databasics allows you to have multiple different expense policies, so for a staffing firm like ourselves, where we have multiple different clients with different policies, we are able to keep them all separate and accurate. Also, we can create/amend the policies, so we do not have to wait on DB support to do anything. However, they are readily available to help out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DATABASICS Time & Expense?

Due to the many options, it can be a little hard to configure. Also, the end user experience is not as up to date as it could be Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering DATABASICS Time & Expense:

Spend time on making sure that you have the reporting side set up. There are no packages reports, which is good because it means you can have whatever you want, but bad, in that you have to know what you want. The reporting package is very flexible, but not particularly user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DATABASICS Time & Expense solving and how is that benefiting you?

We enable our consultants to record their hours worked on client sites, and clients approve those hours. Also, consultants can enter expenses they have incurred, whether billable to the client or not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
