What do you like best about DAT iQ?

DAT shows you the weekly average market rates and compares that to your load history on the same graph enabling a quick benchmark view that speaks loudly. This view gives you quick access to the best carriers for a particular lane. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DAT iQ?

DAT's market segment is mainly flatbed, but they are expanding their dry van and reefer database. Subscription fees are set up by package rather than by user, which isn't the most flexible way to do it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DAT iQ?

DAT aggregates and presents data that we would otherwise have no access to. Along with this, they offer great predictive models and serve this data in varying ways (frontend, api, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DAT iQ?

I mainly work with API integration for my projects. They have switched the API documentation to a new tool and I preferred the previous tool. This isn't a huge problem as the documentation is better than most, I just preferred the old style. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best there is"

What do you like best about DAT iQ?

It's very easy for use DAT for multiple functions. Personally, I love being able to use the DAT Rate Board view, that way I know where I should be on all pricing for any freight that may be coming in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DAT iQ?

What I don't like is that it is a little outdated. Not all the numbers pulled through the system are recent, and will very rarely pull up pricing from months ago if there hasn't been a large surge on that lane Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering DAT iQ:

Take all the rates as a starting point. I would not base my entire bid off it as it is never truly what the market is at Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DAT iQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

With DAT Solutions we do a lot of pricing so that it can help with our bidding on freight. Loads and Lanes we have no idea on, we now have a good idea of what we're looking to pay Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DAT iQ?

It makes it very easy for me to be able to put together spot bids for customers quickly and with good accuracy. Being able to see what vehicles are in the area is very handy for knowing the likelyness of getting a load covered Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DAT iQ?

There are some lanes that DAT does not record accurately. Out of California, the rates always seem too low for what carriers are asking for, this does cause issues when spot quoting Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DAT iQ?

It's the biggest board in the industry and it has the most customers and the most different choices of freight types and equipment to choose from. DAT is second to none and a must have if just getting to have a company of your own with no connections o with brokers or shippers directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DAT iQ?

The fact that with the free version you can't book anything you have to pay but they just show you the best loads the highest paying what they should do is allow you to book the cheaper loads nobody wants to take while showing you the higher ones to entice you to buy the board and move some of that cheap freight off of it! Anything I dislike is more with the carriers, who sometimes do not post their phone numbers. But that has nothing really to do with DAT Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
