"Easy to use and dependable"

What do you like best about Dashlane Password Manager?

Dashlane is a great password manager when you want to balance features vs simplicity. It has more functionality than your built-in browser/computer password manager, but without adding all the features that complicate the UI and make it more difficult for your employees/users to adopt usage. It was very easy to implement for our organization, and integrates well with user's devices (phones, computers, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dashlane Password Manager?

The password change feature on Dashlane can be slightly infuriating, because in order to change you either have to log into the target website or directly into Dashlane's web interface. For systems where your password expires, this can be a significant barrier for users who don't understand how to access & edit Dashlane directly from the web interface. The experience is not ideal. "Pleasant surprise."

What do you like best about Dashlane Password Manager?

Very convenient to use. I use Dashlane Password Manager on both my laptop and smartphone. On my laptop, I have multiple browsers installed (Vivaldi, Opera, Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Brave), which I use for my work. I have the Dashlane extension installed on each of them, and everything works smoothly. The app accurately recognizes websites and fills in the correct login credentials.

Dashlane also allows you to store your personal data (phone number, email, name, address). It usually detects when these details can be used (e.g., when filling out forms), but sometimes it makes mistakes (e.g., when entering something into a website's search bar). However, in such cases, you can disable suggestions for that specific visit on the given site.

I like that Dashlane supports Passkeys—the experience with them is very smooth. I can also save my payment cards in Dashlane and use their details when needed. The same goes for my ID card, passport, social security number, and other personal information. There's even space for custom notes. Passwords can be neatly organized as well.

A nice bonus is the VPN service included with the subscription. It’s powered by Hotspot Shield, and it runs seamlessly. A very good VPN. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dashlane Password Manager?

Well, it is a very good app; maybe just the price is a bit too high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The most user-friendly password manager"
4/5
What do you like best about Dashlane Password Manager?

- Pleasing UI, easy to explain to newbies

- Seamless integration with Chrome

- Good team management

- Comes with Hotspot Shield VPN, which is pretty nice itself

- Good opinionated defaults so things work pretty well right from jump

- Standard features are just generally well implemented - password generation, auto-login, dark web sniffing, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dashlane Password Manager?

- The master password reset is a little complex and isn't automatically set up, frustrates some users

- It would be nice if the admin were more powerful, e.g. having the ability to change passwords or even just view which accounts the users have passwords for

- Spreadsheet export hard to find

- Password sharing seems to depend on the recipient accepting the shared password via email, rather than being instant as expected

- The link to set up Hotspot Shield didn't work from within Dashlane, had to contact customer support to get a working link

- Sometimes the password filler is overly eager and gets in the way of some clearly non-password related fields on the page. It can be turned off, but it'd be nice if it were a little smarter about those things Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Tool for Managing Passwords Across Multiple Devices"
5/5
What do you like best about Dashlane Password Manager?

I like the ease of onboarding users and how it lets them keep their personal passwords separate from company related websites. The website management that allows me to specify which sites should automatically be placed into the business bucket is also a great feature. Their customer support was easy to reach and very helpful at answering questions during implementation. I haven't found much not to like about Dashlane and would highly recommend it. What do you dislike about Dashlane Password Manager?

I haven't found anything yet that hasn't been well thought out or does not work well. Whether using with different web browsers or from my phone I've apprieciated how easy it is to manage passwords and have them available no matter what device I am using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clean, Effective, and Trusted"
5/5
What do you like best about Dashlane Password Manager?

I've used multiple password managers and Dashlane has given me the best experience thus far. It has great UI design which really helps with teaching new hires how to use the password manager. The one time I had to contact customer support for a billing question was pleasant, as they responded quickly and didn't put any barriers between asking the question and receiving an answer. It was simple to import all of our existing passwords that we had saved into our browsers and then set Dashlane as the default. We use our password manager frequently, probably over 5 times each day and then I also have an account for my personal use when I'm off the clock. It's an affordable software that has historically been way more trustworthy than a lot of the Big Names in password managers. I trust Dashlane and I will continue to use them for my passwords and payment information until the sun explodes. I won't use another software when I already have the best. What do you dislike about Dashlane Password Manager?

This is so incredibly minor and is probably user error, but for some websites I have multiple logins saved and sometimes in my rush to get logged in, overwrite one username with another username's password. Between Dashlane being eager to help with the little popup and Chrome screaming at me to use an outdated password I have yet to get rid of, sometimes I select the wrong thing. I don't ever worry about losing that overwritten password, though, because it's so easy to go into the "view history" on the web app and revert the password back to what it was before I plowed through. This isn't a dig on Dashlane, more of a comment on how user error could be construed as a software problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure and Efficient"
4/5
What do you like best about Dashlane Password Manager?

Dashlane is an amazing piece of software. As much as I like using web browser-based password managers. Dashlane adds a level of security that makes me comfortable that my information is safe and secure. I love features such as autofill and the sharing of passwords with other team members in the organization. "No More Sticky Notes" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dashlane Password Manager?

I dislike that once in a blue moon. Dashlane does not save the correct username or password. And I would need to go into the portal to modify this mistake. Also, I wish that the password generator would have more options and customization, such as lowercase, uppercase, and color variation since I have dyslexia and perhaps the ability to turn on autocopy for passwords. "Time Saving and Secure tool for password management for teams"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Dashlane Password Manager?

My favorite feature of Dashlane Password Manager is that with a Google Add-on logins can be autofilled. With being able to share passwords with my IT team, only one of us has to create an account that we can all share and it takes seconds to save the credentials, save them and share them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dashlane Password Manager?

We have run into issues when generating new passwords, when we select to use a generated password and then save it as a new login or update an existing, the new password will not be correctly saved. We also have found that the auto login feature gets in the way, when we have multiple accounts for one site. It would be nice to be able to turn off auto login, but keep auto fill.
