Very easy to implement, despite the power and complexity of the solution once it is up and running. Outstanding user interface, it needs a bit of training to get used to but once mastered it is a really powerful tool, even fun to use. Price is above average if compared to similar solutions. The approach is very distinctive and this reflects in a certain grade of complexity: definitely needs training and time to get confident with the interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Darktrace / NETWORK solving and how is that benefiting you? Darktrace gives us the visibility we lacked in our CyberDefense processes, as it can spot anomalies that involve several systems and that can't be easily spotted with other solutions such as a EDR or a signature based IDS. It is useful at identifying several kinds of anomalous behaviors that could be a sign of an evolving malfunction, misconfiguration or - most importantly - cyberattack. Drilling down to the minute details of a finding is quick and the level of detailed information is impressive. Of course, it works best if integrated in a larger, structured Cyberdefense approach, eg. if it works together with a SIEM where analysts can correlate the information coming from several sources for a thorough investigation of events and incidents. Darktrace learns the behavioral pattern of users, systems, and network traffic. As a result, it can detect abnormal activity and take action against it or alert the SysAdmin. The solution does not rely on signatures of known threats. It provides a detailed analysis of the issue and summarizes the detection in an easy-to-understand description, and prescribes recommended action to take to resolve the issue. The GUI and system are smart, easy to understand, and clean. The front-end is a lot like interacting with a well-designed game or software. What do you dislike about Darktrace / NETWORK? The system is deep enough that when not used or interacted with regularly, takes some time to get back to speed on it. With a total support staff of 5 people for a community of 1000 users and close to 2500 devices Darktrace is an extra set of hands and eyes for our network 24/7 to protect and monitor areas of concern. Darktrace gives us visibility into our network and systems (especially with high school-aged students bringing personal devices onto campus). The best part about this product is hands down the customer service. Never act bothered and always go above and beyond. As far as actual product trait, the ability to go back and review past network traffic to see how a certain action came into play is very useful. Being able to back track and see what is causing an actual attack, whether stopped or not, is the only way to prevent them in the future and this software allows that. The technology is so advanced that it isn't cost effective for a company who isn't often susceptible to web attacks but would be great for large entities and/or government agencies. It's advance endpoint protection is the best around I have found. It quickly identified potential issues. You will not complain about a lack of information it provides.
