Our team members love that we offer this ondemand pay option. Implementation was seamless. We use ADP and DailyPay is a perferred vendor so there was little to set up on our end and next to nothing for us to maintain. We also utlize the Cycle feature. DailyPay adds a strong benefit for our employees that they love having access to, but maintaining it takes little to no effort on our part. DailyPay takes care of everything. Integration was a breeze. Customer service is not only responsive, but they take care of all questions related to DailyPay; we just have to direct the employees to ask them. On top of that, they have additional services and partners that we've really appreciated. They've put out publicity/press releases/case studies for us, connected us with another great financial wellness partner in OneEleven, and their Cycle payments really saved us during our transition between payroll companies when certain employees did not process and we needed to pay them instantly, instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about DailyPay? There's not much to dislike about DailyPay. There is one tricky bit of the benefit that our employees do commonly misunderstand, though, and that is a little bit annoying to have to explain over and over. Namely, when an employee takes an instant transfer, their direct deposit account in the payroll system will change to a DailyPay direct deposit account, so that they can recoup the money they've given to the employee. Some employees will see that their bank information changed in payroll and panic, but it's really not too big a deal to explain and its well worth having access to the benefit overall. DailyPay gives our employees access to their wages as they earn them, rather than making them wait until Pay Day. They charge a small fee if the employee needs it instantly, but it's free if they can wait a few hours. They also offer a pay card and other financial wellness tools in their app. This makes our employees happier and more financially stable as they can access what they need when they need it; plus, data shows that, over time, employees get better at handling their finances as they use the system. DailyPay also has a service called Cycle that allows us to pay employees instantly if we need to, which comes up in certain states that require same day pay for terminations, or if something goes wrong with our payroll. As an employer, we really appreciate being able to provide our employees with a pay advance program. Working with Daily Pay has been straightforward, and the implementation process was very smooth. Over the past decade, we've changed payroll companies several times, and each time, the Daily Pay team has been extremely helpful in ensuring the transitions went smoothly and that there were no interruptions to our DP service. Additionally, we've noticed that Daily Pay has contributed to an increase in our average employee tenure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about DailyPay? We have noticed that although the majority of employees use DP responsibly to manage their finances, there are some who tend to overuse it and consequently have little left when payday arrives. Before Daily Pay, any requests for pay advances had to be approved and checks issued directly by the CEO. This process made it difficult for employees, as reaching out to someone at such a high level could be intimidating and often led to delays, especially when the CEO was unavailable. It also complicated payroll, particularly when dealing with insurance deductions and garnishments. Now, with Daily Pay, employees can access advances discreetly, either as soon as the same day (with fees) or the next day (without fees), avoiding the need to rely on predatory payday lenders. With nearly half the workforce being gen z and millennials, it's especially important to offer tools that put financial wellness in the employee's hands. They like having the financial freedom of being paid when they need it. Other generations also benefit. Our creditors and utilities don't ask what our pay dates are or how often we get paid so that they can tailor due dates to be the most convenient for us. DailyPay to the rescue! Sure, it helps in troubleshooting, but I believe this is better suited to suited for DailyPay customer service. Employers do their part be partnering with DailyPay to offer the benefit. The primary downside is that they are only in the US at this time, although they do plan on changing that in the future. Our employees in other countries are eager to have the services DailyPay provides. There is additionally some education required of the workforce on the mechanics of using their services the first time. This has not been a barrier to use or adoption. The main problem that earned wage access (EWA) solves is the mismatch between traditional pay cycles and the reality of employees' financial needs. Bi-weekly or monthly pay can leave individuals struggling to cover expenses that arise between paychecks, leading to reliance on costly alternatives like payday loans or incurring late fees. DailyPay addresses this by providing employees with on-demand access to their already-earned wages. This allows them to manage unexpected expenses, pay bills on time, and avoid high-interest debt, ultimately improving their financial well-being and reducing stress. By offering this flexibility, DailyPay helps employees gain greater control over their finances and fosters a more supportive and financially secure workforce.
