It may not be the most technical or advanced engine, but for day-to-day use, it works more than well. What I like: I love that you can see the results in real-time without having to wait hours for a render. The interface is super intuitive, it didn't take me long to get used to it. It has a fairly complete library of materials and objects, which saves a lot of time. It works great with SketchUp, which is the program I use the most. The updates usually bring useful improvements, not just visual changes. **What do you dislike about D5 Render?** What doesn't convince me: It consumes quite a bit of GPU, so if you don't have a good graphics card, it can run slowly. Sometimes I feel it lacks more advanced tools to refine certain details. The free version is somewhat limited, and if you want to get the most out of it, you have to pay for the Pro version. Sometimes the materials can look a bit off, especially when I need super detailed textures. The asset library, while big, leans a bit too much towards Asian-style furniture for my taste. Finding specific items can be a pain sometimes. I've also had a few crashes with newer versions, which can be frustrating when I'm on a deadline. It'd be awesome if they added a snapping feature for precise object placement. But honestly, these are minor gripes compared to how much time and effort D5 saves me overall.
