"Solid incident management platform."
5/5
What do you like best about D4H?

We were looking for an easy to use incident management platform for our endusers. After reasearch various products, D4H met the requirements we set. We use D4H for planned and unplanned events, using it several times each week. It was very easy to set up in our office, and our endusers quickly picked up on the basic use by using the online training videos. The event details are compiled into the standard ICS docuementation forms, making it easy to integrate with other response agencies. So far, we have only had to contact support for one issue, and that was resolved very quickly, allowing us to continue the planning process with minimal delay. All around, a very solid product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D4H?

I have yet to encounter any major downsides to the platform. That being said, I would like to see a little more functionality in map markups. The ability to change icon shapes in addition to currently changing icon color, and the ability to indicate direction when adding lines would be beneficial. Not really a dislike, but more of a suggested improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amy Brennan of D4H

Thank you for your detailed feedback! It's great to hear you've found D4H easy to use and implement. Thanks for your map markup suggestions too, I can confirm these are already on our future improvement plan also! If you'd like to drop us an email to help@d4h.com we can add +1 to the requests for you.

What do you like best about D4H?

I work with the Kamloops Search and Rescue and use D4H almost every day. D4H has been the central hub for us to organize our team and document our incidents, training, and other events. The structure is so user-friendly and adaptable, and their customer service is stellar! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best management application for response."
4.5/5
What do you like best about D4H?

D4H is the best combination of a spreadsheet and a full time secretary. Having a incredibly powerful base to accrue and plan is a fundamental key to our success as a SAR charity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D4H?

Some things are a little less user friendly than the average computer user can easily use. But after a short period, everyone in our team has no problem using the UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amy Brennan of D4H

Thank you so much for the awesome review, Harrison. We love the comparison to a "the best combination of a spreadsheet and a full-time secretary"!

"Gamechanger"
5/5
What do you like best about D4H?

Data is simple and easy to enter. The incident, exercises and event modules are a terrific separation for team participation. Looked elsewhere however nothing as robust and easy to communicate with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D4H?

Different time zone. Although buildouts are in the works for new features, some are a bit slower in development. It's apparent the company is aware of this and is growing at a substantial pace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amy Brennan of D4H

Thanks for the fantastic review Alan and for calling D4H a "gamechanger"! It's great to hear that D4H is fostering transparency and accountability across your teams.

"Helpful tracking tool, could benefit from some simple UX improvements"
3.5/5
What do you like best about D4H?

D4H is a great tool for scheduling and tracking attendance and details for training and SAR events. It's nice to see everything in one place that everyone can access without having to manually manage + share a bunch of spreadsheet documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D4H?

There are several frustrating user experience issues that seem like they would be obvious "must fix" bugs if the D4H team was using their own software regularly:

- [iOS Personnel App] Member search is broken, typing a name and tapping done does not filter the list below

- [iOS Personnel App] Tapping a member name requires an additional tap ("view member") to see member contact info – unnecessary

- [iOS Personnel App] Phone numbers on member contact pages display 8 digits with no formatting. Appears to be the last 8 digits of a 10 digit phone number, quite odd

- [iOS Personnel App] Tapping the oddly formatted phone number results in a "your call could not be completed as dialed" message from the phone carrier

- The way the charts and graphs are formatted are quite confusing – the filled line charts would be easier to understand as segmented bar charts.

Last, I would love the option to mark a training as "optional" – for some events I want to know what percentage of members attended, but I don't want to ding their participation percentage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amy Brennan of D4H

Hey Alyssa,

Thanks so much for providing this detailed feedback! I've gone back to the team and have the following updates for you:

- We'll have a fix for member search completed within the next month.

- The unnecessary additional tap on member is helpful feedback. Our engineers are going to have an internal discussion to review how they can improve the UX there.

- For the phone number formatting, this is a UX problem on our side that we'll fix. In the meantime, the phone number should work if you specify a country code.

- Regarding charts and graphs, thank you for the feedback. We're working on a complete overhaul of our reporting which will result in more customizable and user-friendly reports. We'd be keen to hear which charts you're referring to specifically if you wouldn't mind sending this info onto our Support Team [support@d4h.com].

- We've logged a request for the ability to make training optional.

Thanks again,

Amy

"Simple to use and adaptable for our needs"
5/5
What do you like best about D4H?

The reports are really useful to be able to look back over attendance, track usage of kit, etc. it's also very adaptable and has allowed us to record essential data for our team across a number of different item. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D4H?

While it has a mobile friendly version it's not totally easy to use on a phone but that's a minor thing really and I doesn't really impact on its useability for data management Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amy Brennan of D4H

Thank you for your review, Emily! Great to hear D4H has helped with your team's data management.

If you have any specific comments on usability in mobile apps please don't hesitate to send some more info over to support@d4h.com - our engineers are always keen to get this type of feedback.
