"Simple app, cute icon"
5/5
What do you like best about Cyberduck?

What I like best about Cyberduck is the simplicity of the app. Working on a Mac, the interface feels like a Finder window which makes using the app a familiar tool. Additionally, the ability to customize the app is greatly appreciated. Being able to add or remove icons from the toolbar is helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cyberduck?

I honestly don't use Cyberduck for anything crazy. The primary purpose for me is to transfer files to vendors quickly. There are other solutions like WeTransfer, but having the bookmarks to clients' FTP's in Cyberduck allows for more effortless transfer of files. With all of this said, there's nothing that I dislike. Again, with my limited needs, Cyberduck does all I want it to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cyberduck is the right software for your website"
5/5
What do you like best about Cyberduck?

Compared to other software of similar profiles, Cyberduck has been in the market for a long time now, and it is the most dependable File Transfer client in the market. It is effortless to use, even for a beginner looking to build their first website. User interface did not change throughout years because it is functional and well founded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cyberduck?

I would like to see different skins and themes of this product. It would elevate and personalize this software which would give users a unique user experience. Maybe an addition of the dark mode feature could be a step in the right direction? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Free and Straightforward to Use For FTP Needs"
5/5
What do you like best about Cyberduck?

I like how it has always been free, reliable and straightforward to use, whether you're uploading files to a production server for work or managing your personal website with the media files you're hosting. Their duck mascot has always been cute too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cyberduck?

There aren't many downsides to this program that comes to mind. Occasionally, I might have trouble connecting to the servers on the first try, but it usually goes through just fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cyberduck is reliable and intuitive"
5/5
Describe the project or task Cyberduck helped with:

We used Cyber-Duck to backup our graphics projects on the server. Or graphic designers would upload their work at the end of the work day. It was easy to understand, and they caught on in no time—a simple drag and drop storage solution for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cyberduck?

The simple drag and drop, no-frills interface is clean and straightforward. Always worked without fail when you needed it to. Easy to learn and master in no time. No corrupted files or interrupted uploads on our mac machines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for BigCommerce and Beyond"
5/5
What do you like best about Cyberduck?

I originally used Cyberduck to access the WebDAV for BigCommerce, but soon began using it for all my FTP and server browsing. It is far more user friendly than Filezilla and I especially like the drag-and-drop server connection files you can use with Cyberduck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cyberduck?

The worst thing seems a trifle, but when you download a file from the server, a Downloaded Files window pops up. Unfortunately, when you click the file you just downloaded from the server in that window, it doesn't open the file but rather re-downloads it. It would be much easier if that window just opened the file instead of performing the action again.

Also, nearly every time I use it, it asks me to install an update for it and MountainDuck (its sister program.) Though I'm sure the updates are necessary, it's quite annoying when you often use the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cyberduck?

The interface is intuitive, the tool is fast, and it has smart settings like 'always overwrite file with same name' which is nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cyberduck?

More automated workflows would be nice, so every time I saved a file it uploaded it to my remote machine, for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It allows me to connect, control and manage any server with SSH from a macOS device. Also, the UI is very simple for me to manage files in the server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cyberduck?

In the beginning, it was not easy for me to onboard the UI and extract files from the server. The guides are not good enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Complete FTP Solution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cyberduck?

Cyberduck is reasonably priced, easy to use, and has all of the functionality I need. It's a great FTP solution that can work with any major storage vendor. I manage media archiving for my company so I'm constantly uploading and downloading large video files. It has always worked with no issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cyberduck?

The interface is functional, but very utilitarian. Some users might prefer a more graphical interface. On a similar note, transfer progress is shown in a separate pop-up window, instead of in the main app screen, and can get lost behind other windows. It's a small inconvenience, but having one unified interface for functionality and updates would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
