## CXL Reviews
  ### 1. Great experience and lots of learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tina S. | Marketing Manager and Tenders Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The lineup of instructors set CXL apart from others - definitely learned a lot of NEW things from actual experts who have their own methodologies and tools

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

I got this through a scholarship so 12 weeks was too short to tackle the whole minidegree. There came a point when I wasn't able to dive as deep as I would like on lessons because I'm trying to "catch a deadline."

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I jumped in with a personal goal of upskilling and updating myself with new trends, skills and strategies in Marketing. This goal has been met, above and beyond. I feel more equipped to tackle more marketing challenges, tasks, fields now, which will help in how I provide value for my employer and clients. The Growth Marketing minidegree has helped me evolved into a more holistic marketer.

  ### 2. Well-structured curriculum, expert instructors, and an amazing value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhiya H. | Digital conversion engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

CXL's curriculum is very well-structured. The instructors are also experts at what they taught and you can tell just by how easily digestible the lessons are. The support team is also top-notch, with a quick response time, as well as a supportive community to help you answer any questions you might have while going through the course.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Since it's a collaborative effort by lots of people, it's expected that the modules will overlap will each other. It's not a major issue, but some of the lessons did become kind of repetitive near the end of the courses. Still, it was a very enjoyable experience and only helped me understand what I've learnt even more.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The first one would be my lack of knowledge around testing and validating digital changes. After diving into CXL's certification, I realized that there is so much more to understand inside the world of CRO than validation and testing. The certificate badge has also proved to be something easily recognized and widely trusted by many growth organizations.

  ### 3. The best Growth Marketing education I've seen.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eben M. | Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

Variety of practical and theoretical instruction. Presenters with industry experience who share generously (best practice and documentation).

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Some of the exams are not challenging at all, and others are very difficult in ways that don't test meaningfully. So it would be good to have these balanced.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

Can happily recommend it. If you're looking to pick up the technical skills from practitioners, this is a great place to do it. If you're looking for qualifications specific to vendors (i.e., Google / FB), I'd recommend doing both the CXL courses and the vendor-supplied education.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Equipping myself to be lead a team of growth marketers. It's helped me see new opportunities and guide my team to the same courses to help them do the same. The benefits have been immense. I have Aladdin's 'a whole new world' playing in my head right now ;)

  ### 4. Learning what really matters with CXL

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leandro R. | Account manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

CXL is fundamental for your career development and strategic understanding of digital marketing and growth.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

It's not a "dislike" but a piece of advice: their minidegrees and courses are intense and profound. Do not expect less than that.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm more prepared for strategic and fundamental conversations, planning, and actions on digital marketing, conversion, and growth.

  ### 5. The best (Digital) Marketing Course Platform there is, wish I learned about their existence sooner.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jevon C. | Growth Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The comprehensive lists of courses to take, so many different topics to choose from. From UX to CRO. Running a (remote) Marketing Team to the future of SEO. It has it all, I know how I am going to level up my squad. They need this.

I never really liked schools and courses that take on too broad of a topic. CXL is capable of taking on such a broad topic and also knows to deliver on that promise. Saying "become part of the top 1%" is no lie when EVERY course is run by people who are regarded as top players in their field.
You can tell they know their stuff and 95% of them can explain it to you like they are reading from a child's book.

Because only the industry best people give the courses you get so many refreshing insights in how a certain discipline can be best run. For quite a few topics where you would think it's just getting a 'feel' for it such as copywriting, you will learn a methodical approach on how to best reach your desired outcome: Copy that sells.

It's like that for every course. It's curated and I even spoke to a few of the instructors, they really care about their content and they want to keep it updated as well.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

They got all bases covered. The only thing that is not my style is the design of the website, but remember... that's just looks. The value is what is inside.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

How is your team currently doing? Are reaching a ceiling on a certain topic or is there any budget available for self-development?
I 100% recommend CXL in that case, your employees will gain additional insights in what they are working on as well as able to upskill themselves in other areas they might find interesting.

This is beneficial for their own future as well as your companies future.

If you have are hesitant, reach out to me, would love to discuss it it.
When you are not with a company the initial investment needed to start this course could seem daunting.
Worry not, it is well worth the money, the question you got to ask yourself is, will I make the time to level myself?

Because if you spend time on this platform, you will level up.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Combining different disciplines together to make 1 complete Digital Marketing strategy for my own company and my clients.
With the courses I am now able to better implement, analyse and suggest changes. I don't need a developer every time to change something and I am well prepared for expansion consulting all markets. I brought in more leads already.

  ### 6. Great courses for those who want real digital marketing training!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deric D. | Digital and Omnichannel Marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

I completed the Digital Psychology Minidegree and have to say that the content and structure of the course was put together with a lot of thought. Every topic in succession was a build to the previous one. The trainers are real experts who are thought leader and are hands -on experts in their respective area of expertise. The short length of each video within modules make the material easy to retain. I'm working through the other courses and even as an experienced digital marketer I pick up some new insights along the way.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

The UI could be better, especially if you are viewing on a mobile phone. The touch targets are small.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm picking up some interesting insights and also tend to think in retrospect about how some campaigns I created in the past could've been better.

  ### 7. A wonderful growth experience - Digital Psychology & Persuasion Minidegree

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucian G. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The way the information is structured helps you understand concepts that you are hearing of for the first time.

The effort put into making sure you have all the information available in different formats -audio, video, text - shows how much emphasis is put on customer experience.

Having exams at the end of almost every course is a great way to go over what you have learned.

All in all, it was a great experience and I feel that I have gained so much from the two months of going through the CXL Minidegree.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

I only have praise words for my experience with the CXL Insitute.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I took the Digital Psychology & Persuasion course in order to have a better grasp on how customers interact with products.

In my field of brand strategy & design, it is important to be in touch not only with the technical side of things but also with the customers.

Knowing how to better engage with them can only help me become better at what I do.

  ### 8. If you're looking for no BS expert-level marketing & analytics learning, look no further

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diana D. | Head of Content Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

Hands-down, CXL is the best learning platform I've come across.

As a digital marketer working in a SaaS company focused on analytics, I'm always on the lookout for up-to-date industry knowledge that's applicable and gets straight to the point.

CXL managed to do that and more. They're gathered the best in the industry to share their knowledge in a format that's easily digestible and engaging. No fancy buzzwords, no outdated information, no academia slang. Just pure knowledge, sliced and diced to fit everyone's needs.

Chapeau!

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

If there's one thing I wish they covered, it's UI and Programming. My partner works in that field and he's been watching me spending many hours completing quizzes and certificates.

It would be great if online training of this level was also available for developers and UI/UX-ers :) They're hopefully considering more courses in the future.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CXL and the talented people behind it have answered many questions on CRO, digital analytics, content marketing & more. Now, I am more confident about my work decisions knowing that they're backed up by years of proven industry knowledge and best practices.

Many times, I was taken out of my comfort zone, delving into new areas. And even if I might not be applying everything now, I know what to do when I need to.

  ### 9. Review on the best CRO Course

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Umanga V. | Digital Marketing Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

CXL content, course delivery & resources

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Nothing was bad. Every insight was good.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many new concepts I have learned from the CXL course and I am implementing them into my daily CRO activities. The add-on sheets which are provided helps a lot in gathering data and taking insights from them. These all help to improve the conversion rate. The wonderful tips and tricks which are shared in almost all topics to get master in CRO were really awesome. They literally mean a lot and this is something best which I have seen in CXL Course.

Overall, my journey of learning from CXL Institute was great and want to really thanks Peep Laja for providing me the opportunity and I am so glad to earn the certificate of Conversion Optimizer from CXL.

  ### 10. Professional and fully stacked mini degree

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andreas B. | Digital Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

I did the the Growth Marketing degree which was a big degree with lots of courses. I really enjoyed that it covered as much as it did, it has given me tools and knowledge I can apply right away and a good tool box of frameworks and material to use in the future.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

A few, two or three out of 33, courses we're a bit out of date. Though it was mostly parts of courses which you could skip past.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

They have a couple of very different mini degrees and stand alone courses. Look in to what you need to learn and b what to learn and go from there. You won't be disappointed!

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have really taken my knowledge in the field of digital marketing and everything surrounding it to the next level. I felt very proficient in areas before which I've realized now I had a lot more to learn in.

  ### 11. I learned essential skills in digital marketing and strategy.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The broad selection of essential courses in digital marketing and strategy. Most of the topics also have great quality.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

When you watch a lot of the courses you notice theres also some repetiton.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

Just start with a course that you think is exciting and start from there!

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I got a job in digital marketing.

  ### 12. Worth it! An in-depth, thorough, thoughtful course

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sofia S. | Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The highly qualified instructors, the substantive approach to marketing and growth (no "hacks" or trendy claims), and the scholarship program. Overall an incredibly in-depth course that somehow didn't get lost in irrelevant details

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Some user interface issues and overly long modules. There also wasn't a logical flow to all the courses in the mini degree

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem: college education is all theory-based and jobs are mostly tactical/skills based. CXL helped me bridge the gap. Marketing and tech in general also change so fast that this course gave valuable insight into modern, up-to-date platforms while grounding the tools and techniques in well-established marketing psychology, growth principles, and business foundations.

  ### 13. Serious training in Conversion Optimization advanced skills

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin V. | Head of Acquisition & Product Marketing - LatAm, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

That the course comprises a wide variety of disciplines and subjects that contribute to CRO, and that the quality of the content is consistent throughout the course and across the different subjects, even when there are a large number of instructors.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

I would break some of the longer lessons into more chapters when they are about very meticulous stuff, such as advanced analytics lessons that are 40 minutes long.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I´m planning a much better and comprehensive optimization plan for my company than I could have ever done without going through this course.

  ### 14. CXL is the destination to get outstanding marketing training from top notch 1% of marketers !

  ### 15. Best Conversion Optimization Course

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Umer Q. | Digital Marketing Manager/Brand Designer , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

Recently completed my CRO minidegree! Loved the course, the content and the best were the instructors. All of the instructors are industry professionals and are brilliant teachers.

This is hands down the best online course I have taken up till now! And I highly recommend to those who are looking forward to learn Conversion Optimization. This will be your best investment!

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Well I found statistics part (in A/B testing) difficult in the course maybe because I have never studied stats before, and felt if they would have started from more basics it would have been easier. Otherwise the course content is brilliant!!

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The course has helped me optimize site and landing pages to get better conversions.

  ### 16. Diverse training courses

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Janneke B. | I'm looking for a marketing job, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

Most were interactive, with a small test during the different videos.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Some were better put together than others. The sound changes when the presenter switched screens for example. But the GA 4 course was really bad, sentences were cut off at the end many times, very annoying.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

Great variety of online marketing courses, easy to use and good support if you have any questions.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm an 'old school' marketeer and I needed to bring my marketing knowledge up to date with online marketing courses

  ### 17. A very robust program that went deep into strategy and implementation for growth marketing.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bolaji I. | Head of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

I loved the variety of tutors who brought their real-world experience to class. I also appreciated that CXL is taking feedback from students and is consistently improving the experience. From updating the curriculum to improving the testing experience I found the program to be very fulfilling and practical.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Some of the videos had poor audio but CXL promptly replaced them with new recordings from the tutors.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a deeper understanding of the complete customer journey and how to think strategically about growing the business I work for.

  ### 18. Amazing. From day one till you get your certificate, you'll get the feeling of being part of the 1 %

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josipher W. | D, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The structure and the content come from the top in the digital marketing game. You'll get in depth knowledge on CRO, Cutomer Aquisition, Digital Analytics, you name it.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

You have to double click sometime to navigate on the website.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted an in depth knowledge, structure and training on CRO and I found more then it. I now have in depth training on Customer Aquisition, Digital Analytics and much more.

I double my income in the firt 3 months of joining CXL.

  ### 19. Things to know before you take the jump

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khushi L. | Growth Marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

I started the growth marketing Mini Degree 6 weeks ago. As a junior growth marketer, I wanted to learn the ways industry experts did it. So far, I'm extremely satisfied.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

As others have mentioned before, it's 'drinking from a firehose'. There's just so much good content that it's easy to miss out on stuff or lose track. My way around this was to condense everything I learnt in a short article and publish it online for everyone to see. This helped me stay on track and refer to the content at a later date. You can find the reviews on toption.org/cxl and https://medium.com/@khushilunkad1999/my-review-of-growth-marketing-mini-degree-by-cxl-institute-135b7a37f5f

One more thing to keep in mind is that the courses are pretty long. The growth marketing minidegree is around 110+ hrs long. I planned to complete it within 3 months. You should know that it could get a little intense.

The team is working on adding milestones to each video so you can jump to the point that is most relevant to you. Great to see that being rolled out.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I want to get ridiculously good at growth marketing. CXL is a stepping stone to that. Their facebook group is also pretty helpful.

  ### 20. Great company to develop your digital marketing skills!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giacomo V. | Digital Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

What I like most about CXL is their expertise in digital marketing and everything related to conversion rate optimization. They not only offer great content with their courses that allow you to become a top marketer, but they also show their professionalism in the community, and they are always ready to give you the advice to solve your problems.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

During my experience with CXL, I didn't have any dislike.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to learn more about digital analytics because I didn't have any chance to develop this skill during my study and job experience, but it is something that is required now by many companies. I accessed their minidegree about digital analytics and the content that they provide is the best I have ever seen. I took other courses in marketing and analytics, but nothing could reach the quality provided by CXL.

  ### 21. Conversion Optimization - CXL Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

What I liked most about the CXL courses is that the teachers have a very clear didactic, and the support materials are very complete.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

I think the only thing that could be improved is to make it clear how long you will still have access to the courses.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have always found it very difficult to find material on CRO from a reliable source, and one that would prove to be well-founded. With the CXL course, I feel much more confident in pointing out problems and solutions.

  ### 22. Digital Psychology MiniDegree

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Germina Paola D. | Digital Marketer & Funnel Strategist (Specializing in Marketing Automation & Online Education), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The instructors are highly experienced and knowledgeable. The mini-degree is like a one whole semester class.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Some of the lessons are a little bit repetitive.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cxl promotes using data-driven marketing approach. They also thoroughly explained online consumer behavior, on how it effect us. One thing that I love about CXL is that they encourage in using technology for good.

  ### 23. Taking marketing training to a whole new level

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blaze J. | VP of eCommerce and Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

High quality of the learning content, expert teachers, lots of actionable tips, and relatively easy to follow without sacrificing the depth. The support has been fantastic as well, the team is super responsive, and they are working hard to create a helpful community spirit.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

A few minor quirks with the platform but nothing major.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been putting the learnings into action when it comes to managing our website and our ecommerce business. The content has helped me make several improvements.

  ### 24. Fun and interesting learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

Excellent lecturers, with interesting courses.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

I cant think of anything that I dislike about CXL. The course-quizes are a bit slow from time to time.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have learned how to make even greater sales copies, how to get my customers attention, and to keep things real.

  ### 25. Take your marketing skills to the next level

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The great amount of things you can learn in the same topic.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Some courses have too much theory, and not enough examples, case studies and exercises.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to learn what was growth marketing all about. I learned about it but also about project management, Excel, organizing your tech stack, and other things -- which was something I didn't expect.

  ### 26. Excellent place to learn CRO

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Riley H. | Digital Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

It's very comprehensive. The mini-degree covers everything you could imagine. The courses are taught by different instructors, from different companies and specializations. The content varies but this is actually a positive. There's great diversity of opinion, which is important in this field. And the content is almost uniformly excellent. (The teachers vary a little bit more but the best teachers are really, really good.)

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

The one class that truly required course files was missing up-to-date course files. I contacted both CXL and the instructor and got nowhere. This didn't affect me much because it was the course I was least likely to use in my professional life but I could see how it could be a problem for other people.
I should point out, as well, that I have started another of the mini-degrees because my subscription is still valid, and those courses aren't divided as well. So it seems that it depends who curates and creates the course as to how well it is presented, which is a drawback.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

Really worthwhile but, if you are going to do the CRO mini-degree and care about learning R, make sure they have that fixed.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well I figured I would become a CRO and this class convinced me I probably wouldn't. It's helped me figure out what I really want to offer my clients and it's given me a huge range of knowledge I didn't have before, so I am now more informed when I inform my clients.

  ### 27. CXL Consistently Has Superior Content

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Douglas S. | Advanced Google Ads Expert, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

When you take a course at CXL, you are not getting rudiments (unless the course is intended to be at the beginner level). And that is important if you have been around a while. You know how things work in the various online ad channels and supporting 3rd party software. What you are looking for is advanced insight and ideas. You are looking for strategies that are not widely published; that isn't going to be found in forums.

So, that is the difference - you get access to the really good stuff. There is also an ongoing effort to update content. And it is pretty obvious they are well managed. Peep Laja has a good reputation. It is not unusual to get him when you click on Chat help. That should tell you a lot.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

nothing. It is well scoped out and organized. Site is fast.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

If you are experienced and seek advanced training, check it out.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I know more. And have certifications that matter in the industry.

  ### 28. Great courses by the world's best professionals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kurt S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The courses are run by the world's best!

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Course estimates are not always accurate

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

Take advantage of the cheap trial and see for yourself. Watching pretty much any of the courses will help you understand that this stuff is gold.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The courses are highly practical, where the lessons learnt can be applied straight away into the real world.
Having completed the Conversion Optimization mini degree, this has given me a perfect overall base for my current role in marketing where I'm trying to always improve the web experience.

The mini degree course structure is well set out and easy to follow. Each section has an exam which tests well your knowledge gained from the material, and helps to give a sense of achievement and progression as you go through the material.

CXL Institute is constantly putting out new material and also updating existing material to be up to date with the current best practises. This is one of the greatest benefits of being a member of the insitute, and is especially important in this field which is always fast changing with new technologies etc.

To anyone reading this review, I would also highly recommend attending any of the CXL live events. I attended one in Laulasmaa, Estonia where I got to see many of the practitioners who teach the courses live in person. It's a great chance to connect, and go over any and all topics from the courses you've been learning from the CXL Institute.

  ### 29. CXL Institue - Customer Acquisition Minidegree

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony G. | Conversion Optimisation Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

CXL Institue is my go-to platform if I want to learn anything about marketing. Purely because the content is so good. Taught by leading practitioners in their field. The content is updated regularly so always feel slightly ahead of the curve when it comes to digital marketing. The courses are fast-paced and challenging, however, what you learn you can immediately apply. There is always something you can take away and action.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

There isn't much I don't like about the course. I'd love CXL to create an app, so it would be easier to learn on the fly 'during a commute'.

The other thing is the platform seems to be dated. But this isn't a show stopper for me. The platform is far from terrible and the content is what is important to me.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

If you are serious about learn your topic properly then these courses are for you. The minidegrees are worth every penny. It is an investment in you.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The content with CXL has helped me grow my knowledge in different areas of digital. I am a CRO specialist, therefore, my aim was to improve knowledge in other aspects of digital to help further my career. The customer acquisition minidegree means I can safely say I can run advertising at an intermediate level. Of course, the next thing is for me to apply the theory to practice.

  ### 30. The digital psychology & persuasion minidegree course was great.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2021

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The instructors were fantastic and switching up the type of lesson helped move the courses along.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

The quizzes could use some work and perhaps incorporating discussions and more face to face.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was solving the problem of messaging in the digital space. The benefits of analytics and proper methods have been great.

  ### 31. Amazing content and better teachers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andres J. C. | Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

Doing the CXL Growth Marketing minidegree was a game changer for me, I come from the entrepreneurial, economics side and the amount of lessons that I could immediately translate into progress within my own company and projects was unbelievable.
Really really happy I took the time and completed this minidegree and I'm sure coming back for more courses or minidegrees.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

I didn't dislike anything from my CXL minidegree, maybe the 90% or above requirement grade for every exam because some are hard! But then again that's one of the things that make CXL so good also.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Too many to count. But the biggest one is that I had the knowledge to make changes in the marketing strategy and execution of the companies and nonprofits I'm involved with and the results have been amazing.

  ### 32. Does more than scratch the surface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter U. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The course are well structured and take you on a journey from knowing very little to feeling accomplished in the subject matter. I found it reassuring to hear certain things repeated further on in the course, often by other teachers, which helps embed certain key principles. The mini degrees are long but go further than most other courses and really help you understand advanced subject matter from leading industry experts.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

The platform is good but there are certain elements missing in the UX/UI which would help with the journey. Such as a button to go to the next course or an overall progress bar as you go through. I found myself going to the dashboard to see how much of a minidegree I had completed

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CXL gave me an in-depth understanding of Conversion principles and some advanced understanding of neuromarketing. This is key to formulating marketing strategies across the board and help tie together a lot of my experience in digital marketing. I am still planning on finishing more courses with CXL when time allows.

  ### 33. Valuable learning experience with the Growth Marketing course

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maarja L. | VIP Butler, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

I found the course very easy to follow because the audio and visual is simultaneously available - even highlighting the sentences currently spoken.
The focus is better when you can follow the script and helped me tremendously, leaving nothing unclear.
The insights from a professional were great, giving examples and using the business terminology related to the subject.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

I honestly cannot point out anything I didn’t like, it has been the easiest learning experience for me due to the methods CXL Institute uses.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Growth Marketing subject for me is fairly new, and I took the course due to the loss of my job, wishing to learn something new outside my previous career.
The benefits are the wide range of topics included and the experience of the professional portrayed.

  ### 34. Growth Specialist Minidegree Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marytere M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

What you get through CXL Institue are not just theoretical courses, they come with templates and additional resources to help you implement what you learned from the professionals who are already applying what they teach. I loved the Growth Specialist curriculum because it teaches you the fundamentals of every area involved, from customer insights to project management, testing, data analytics, and advertising channels.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

The only thing I "disliked" about the courses is that some of the lessons are 30-50 minutes long. I would rather have them broken down in 2 or 3 parts of 15-20minute videos.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

If you set a weekly goal to go through the content it's doable to finish the mini degree in 2-3 months. If implemented, the content from this course will improve your business online performance.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CXL has helped to tackle marketing challenges I was facing in the company I'm working at by providing almost step by step training but also making sure I understand why that strategy works and the moving pieces behind it.
I tried other courses in the past but the content there was for beginners to intermediates only. What I liked about CXL is that you can go from beginner to advanced, so it's great for someone who would like to build their foundations as a digital marketer but also for someone who wants to get their edge and dive deep to develop their T-shaped marketer skills.

  ### 35. A well-crafted learning experience unlike anything else I've seen online.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

I came to the CXL Institute with some familiarity in many parts of CRO. However, their course rapidly expanded my knowledge in all areas. After completing the CRO mini-degree it is very clear it would take years of learning on my own to even approach the understanding of the subject I have now.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

I have very few complaints about CXL Institute. It was certainly an investment financially, but one I consider worth it. The fact that the only issues I had were cosmetic and due to various UX changes speaks volumes in my mind.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

Push past the sticker shock. The quality of education is unrivaled in this space. If you are a digital marketer their courses are worth their weight in gold.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My working world is eCommerce strategy. The ResearchXL methodology for CRO is now a foundational element for myself and my team. We apply their various frameworks to everything we do now.

  ### 36. A great well-rounded training!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josiane N. | Consultante Marketing numérique et Communications stratégiques, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

I loved the fact that they are paths already determined in the course catalog. It was easy for me to know wich classe to take next. Overall the content was up-to-date and for some of the concepts taught, it was the first time I encountered them in my career. It was very refreshing in terms of knowledge. Also format of the courses varies, some are videos of a speaker during an event, others are slides with a speaker. It felt good to change the format from course to course.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Exams are quite tricky, but at the end I was glad they were more difficult to make sure I integrated learnings correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

It's an amazing investment for the value you get in return.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The path I followed at CXL gave me a good push for my professional services. I had just lost all of my contract due to COVID-19 and was looking for a way to enhance my own customer experience. I have a deeper understanding of how I can help my clients make better marketing and user experience. It helped me grow my knowledge tremendously and I am thinking of staying for another quarter to see what's next.

  ### 37. You can scratch the surface or go very deep

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The wide variety of topics covered in CXL allow complete newbies to total experts to find something useful and practical to take away. You can really deep into any topic and the quality of the content is really good.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

The only thing I find annoying is the duration of the courses are not accurate. If you take any notes, even basic ones without stopping videos it's still impossible to finish a course in the time they say. It's not a big deal but just know up front it will take longer than you expect.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

Do the Conversion MiniDegree, it takes a while but is worth it and covers a LOT of ground

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been working in CRO for 6 years and I love to learn more about the field. This provides a structured way to do so. I've learned new things from behavioral psychology to advanced Google Tag Manager.

  ### 38. A good place to level up your CRO knowledge and skills.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordi D. | Online Marketeer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

Really up-to-date topics and classes on CRO. Real experts learning me new things instead of a random person. CXL institute is widely know, for me personally it was: or follow a online course via CXL or via Online Dialogue (a agency) in the Netherlands. Because it is more world-wide known and it is focussed on 'online learning' i choose CXL instead of Online Dialogue.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Sometimes the video's were a bit to long (a couple where around 30+ mins and 1 was about ~60 min). Maybe cut the longer video's into shorter ones. The total time estimate on the CRO minidegree is set on a estimate of 74h 37min, I'm not sure if this is still up-to-date, because it took me way longer than that.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

Look no further if you are seeking a place for new knowledge around topics as: CRO, Growth marketing, DIgital analytics etc.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped me upping my CRO knowledge and skills. Mostly on testing, conversion copy and calculating results part. The conversion research and psychology design part I already knew a lot about.

  ### 39. Top Level Education for a very fare price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

•	The course helped me achieve the necessary technical skills and strategic know-how to reach a further step in my career as well as bring more value to my company. It has also made me more desirable for recruiters who have reached out to me more frequently since I completed my courses with CXL. The courses are detailed, technical, and challenging and will give you the skills you need to stand out in an exciting but competitive field. One of my favorite things about the course is that they are taught by some of the best industry experts which throughout their careers had the time to refine these skills that you can now absorb in just a few months if you are willing to put in the hours.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

I wish they had more technical degrees that involved programming as well. But I hear it's in the "works".

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to implement management processes that ensure our company is always focused on the metrics that count, that has an accelerated pace of initiatives that derive growth and that we are and keep being data-driven in our decisions .

  ### 40. Incredibly thorough, practical applications, and experienced instructors.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Codey S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

All the content is incredibly thorough and in-depth. They teach the background information, science, and psychology, and then give real examples to show you how to apply it. Our team is each doing a different course to diversify our skillsets.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

The only thing I have struggled with is that it is like drinking from a fire hose. It is so much information. It is best to space out your learning a bit so you can absorb it all.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have already seen better conversions from redesigning forms and are working on completely overhauling our website content.

  ### 41. Excellent CRO courses for beginners, intermediates, and even experts.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff B. | Senior Manager, CRO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The curriculum was extremely diverse and comprehensive. It covered all aspects of Conversion Optimization from analytics, to behavior research, psychology, test setup, statistics, etc etc. You can dive deep into areas you are not expert in, and bolster other areas you are already strong in.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

The courses and exams were very uneven in terms of content structure and difficulty. For example, many exams were very trivial and asked random questions to make sure you were paying attention, rather than asking questions that applied to the concepts covered. Also some courses were just a long video presentation and not broken down into digestible content sections like others were.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CXL has shown that to excel at CRO, I need to strengthen my skills in other areas, such as user behavioral research and consumer psychology.

  ### 42. Best digital marketing resource

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dimitrios T. | Financial Auditor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The courses are highly practical, where the lessons learnt can be applied straight away into the real world.

The course content was of great quality and on par with state of the art best practices

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Can't provide any negative feedback without being extremely picky.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having being laid off from my last job while finishing my Masters, cxl provided extremely valuable information that helped me launch my agency.

  ### 43. An incredible learning experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

I found a lot of the information was very easy to apply immediately, every video was interesting and packed with useful information.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

My only complaint is that some of the videos are very lengthy, I'd suggest trying to break them down into smaller sections.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Now I'm looking to start another business and have already used some of the skills I learned, such as using surveys effectively as part of my primary market research.

  ### 44. CXL INSTITUTE is one of the best resource ever used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles E. | Marketing Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2020

**What do you like best about CXL?**

I really like the course content and trainers.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Cost is on the higher side for individual users

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a new career now after using CXL for just two months.

  ### 45. Helped us change our business model from web dev to CRO-based agency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deb C. | Founder & CEO | CXL-Certified Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Consultant & Digital Marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2019

**What do you like best about CXL?**

Training on CXL Institute is of very high quality with resources to support multiple learning styles. Each course includes videos, related downloads like templates, framework examples, etc. Plus they have full transcripts of each video so you can read along if you learn best that way, rather than through auditory methods. In most cases the slides are also available for each video as well.

The instructors are top notch leaders in their field and have tons of real-life experiences to share. It's never just about theory or process - they demonstrate in each course how to approach CRO under different use cases, in real situations you may face as a CRO professional.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

The live cohorts are not offered nearly as often as I'd like. That means in many cases my team has to just go through the online material without any personal guidance from live instructors. When live cohorts do happen, they are invaluable and I encourage as many of my staff as possible to participate. There's simply no substitute for the opportunity to ask questions of a highly experience CRO practitioner live, and get feedback on your questions and CRO processes.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

Attend some of the free webinars to see if the content and teaching style work for you before investing. CXL Institute can change your career and your company, but it's a LOT of work and you have to be willing to put in the time. When you sign up you have to make progressing through the coursework a priority on a personal level. If you have a full time job, that means putting in quite a bit of extra time at night or on weekends. You have to devote time to complete the coursework videos AND also practice what you learn to truly grasp the material.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most important problem CXL Institute solved was giving my team the skills and solid background to change our business from a custom web development company to a high-performing CRO-based digital marketing agency. My entire team is excited by the future career expansion CXL has given them, and by extension, the future of our entire company. The work we do now as an agency for our clients is far more engaging and rewarding than before. I can honestly say I don't think we would have been able to make the change from web dev to CRO as effectively or with as much confidence if it was not for the in-depth CRO training available through CXL Institute.

As an agency owner, I also really appreciate the ability to set up custom training roadmaps for each employee. There is a tremendous amount of material on CXL and the roadmap feature allows me to prioritize what training I want each person to take, and in what order.

  ### 46. Digital Analytics Program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milford C. | Digital Business Consultant / Analyst, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2018

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The CXL Institute Digital Analytics Program is an amazing course of over 130 hours of instruction by very knowledgeable and sharing experts in our field. I especially enjoyed the advanced classes with Yehoshua Coren and Simo Ahava. The courses seemed geared more for marketing, but I very much enjoyed trudging off into the developer weeds with Simo, a lot.

I was not able to take the Live Course but was happy to learn I could take the self-paced course anytime. I was able to do all the ancillary reading, exercises, and studies and complete the course. Many of the videos have been transcribed and the classes also come with a copy of the Chat transcript. All of this was very helpful to consume the information.

The CXL staff is very helpful and just a chat away when you need help or have a question.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

The part I dislike the most is that it is over.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

I did get my moneys worth and recommend you take this course or any of the other courses offered by CXL Institute. I am now working on Conversion Optimization and fully expect it will be well worth it.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I took this course to extend my knowledge in digital analytics and the tools, methods and work flow to achieve a working knowledge in this area. I am very confident the instruction I received was field tested and works, and will better help me provide my clients with actionable insights for ROI and growth.

  ### 47. A very wide variety of high quality courses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruben d. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2018

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The wide variety of courses, taught by many different experts, makes ConversionXL Insitute highly recommended for every team who takes (online) growth seriously. There are many courses related to Conversion Optimization and UX, Analytics and Marketing. Regularly new courses are available making the platform better and better each time. CXL Institute is a great platform for learning and growing businesses.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

It could use some more UX design courses.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

The wide variety of courses and new courses which are being created regularly, makes CXL a great platform for your business growth.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With CXL Institute we are able to broaden our skills and put the learned material into practice to realize growth.

  ### 48. The Digital Psychology & Persuasion minidegree program

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bridgett G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2018

**What do you like best about CXL?**

A brilliant course that’s not stingy with its in-depth information. All coming from experts. Full of solid scientific backing. You’ll get everything AND the kitchen sink. Getting both the foundation and how to apply it.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

Not all of the videos were transcribed. Having the script is great for those of us who like to read even though there's a video.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

If you’re looking to breeze through a course so you can get at gold star or badge at the end, then this isn’t the course for you. It requires dedication.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Every skilled marketer has those moments when you feel you’re just doing guesswork. Looking for a meaningful KPI in a haystack of analytics. The Digital Psychology & Persuasion course will bring your marketing confidence back. Your next decision will be based on those expert evaluations.
Understanding the science behind human behavior has breathed new life into the marketing tools and frameworks I’ve been using. Oh, now I get it! I expect to improve how I communicate with my audience, connect with them on an emotional level, and ultimately make more money.

  ### 49. A great place to become a better professional

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew O. | Digital Marketing Associate, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2019

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The courses are very thorough, and you can seamlessly implement what you have learned in your current job.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

There's really not much I could complain about. Everything has clearly been well-thought out.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CXL's Conversion Optimization Minidegree has helped me plan and execute a cohesive optimization strategy for several of my clients.

  ### 50. Amazing Content from a Range of Experts | Best CRO course hands down.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua B. | Founder | Data-Driven Performance Marketing & Growth Specialist, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2018

**What do you like best about CXL?**

The best thing about CXL institute is the practical courses and how they have managed to source experts for their courses from a range of Backgrounds. What really sets CXL apart from other courses I have taken is the range of highly technical courses for those that are already experts in their field to continue our skills development, while also having basic training if you're starting out in an area that you lack skills.

**What do you dislike about CXL?**

The platform itself could be better with a few bugs here and there. The support more than makes up for this being super responsive and the content is top notch so really can't complain.

**Recommendations to others considering CXL:**

Ensure you set aside adequate time to go through the courses each week. I was setting aside at least 4-5 hours each week to get through the 8 week CRO course.

**What problems is CXL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our whole core CRO framework was built on the basis of the CXL institute CRO course. Peep did not pull any punches when it came to creating that course. It's so in-depth and covers pretty much every angle of CRO that it really does not leave much more to tweak and add.

Thanks again Peep!
