"Reliable reporting and back-end user friendly"

What do you like best?

Prior to using Cvent, we used another registration system and it was a mess. When we transitioned to Cvent, we found that the reporting functionality was so reliable, we eventually just created "report portals" for our auditors. On another note, setting up registration is incredibly easy because the back-end is so intuitive and a breeze to follow. It also helps that if you have a question, the Cvent help community and their articles are always there.

What do you dislike?

There are a couple things, not many, that I am not a fan of with Cvent.

One is that you can't do bulk invoicing. As in, if you have a group of 20+ people register and the accounting department needs one invoice for all 20 registrants, there isn't a way to do that in Cvent. We either have to download all their individual invoices or we have to create one outside of Cvent to send them.

The second is that we have a very extensive schedule for one of our events and it would be nice to chop of the sessions by day. Unfortunately, all 60+ sessions have to be displayed on the same page which can be overwhelming and cumbersome for our attendees when they select their courses.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

When you're in the process of "shopping" around and looking into Cvent, try asking for a "sandbox" to test whether or not Cvent will meet your needs for the purpose you intend to use it for.

The reporting functionality and reliability is fantastic.

The software itself is very intuitive.

"Comprehensive, yet still easy to use"

What do you like best?

I love how all of our data is stored in a centralized location and integrates with our CRM database. We're able to have a complete picture of who our constituents are, what events they've attended, and how much they've contributed to our nonprofit all in a user-friendly, visually compelling way. There are many different kinds of reports that can be run, based on whatever it is you want to know about your guest. I love that there are special portals that you can design to give management access to reporting features and guest lists, without giving them their own administrative login or having to run the reports yourself to give to them. I also wouldn't be able to do any of the fun things that I do in Cvent without the ongoing support of the client success consultant, online chat, online training modules, and the Cvent community- so helpful!

What do you dislike?

Sometimes there is almost too much choice and it can be a bit overwhelming or there are some things that can easily be edited and customized, where other things can't, or you have to go through a lot of steps to be able to customize it. It's also endlessly frustrating when the preview you see in the editing tool is often not what the published page looks like. I wish there were more solutions for nonprofit organizations that were easily accessible in Cvent or a special nonprofit/association subgroup that could be joined in the Cvent community.

Once you get it, learn all you can about it and leverage the resources provided by Cvent. You only get out of it what you put into it, so go all in.

Cvent has saved me so much administrative time and has really elevated the look and feel of our organization to our external constituents. I don't have to worry about keeping a spreadsheet up-to-date with registrants or other information. We don't have to pay to have a customized event webpage created, since the Cvent event page now IS our customized event webpage.

"CVENT is a great option for small Non-profits"

What do you like best?

I've found CVENT registration software to be very easy to customize and make it feel personal to our non-profit association. When I first heard about CVENT registration, I assumed it was really only for organizations that put on larger events; not so!

What do you dislike?

The only feature I struggle with is the reports system. I would like to have this streamlined into something even more basic. For example, I want to know not only that an attendee ordered a t-shirt, but I want it to tell me in the same general report what size they ordered, rather than me needing to run an individual registration report.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Give it a shot! If it works for us, I feel it will work well for many!

We are finding that we can better track donors with CVENT.

"Comprehensive Platform for Event Planning"

What do you like best?

I like the fact that Cvent has a solution for nearly every situation my event planning presents me with. I love the registration paths and how you can create a different customize experience for each type of registrant.

I also love their customer support service. They are very helpful in patiently walking you through any issues.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that I can't change the layout or get rid of some of the pages registrants have to go through before checking out and submitting payment. I think some pages are unnecessary or can be combined with others to make things quicker.

Great event platform. Easy to use. Amazing tech support.

It's made the registration process simpler and thorough for registrants allowing me more time to focus on other details of the event.

"Cvent Fit My Event Needs"

What do you like best?

Cvent is an incredibly robust software that fit our event needs almost entirely. There is no shortage of ways that you can set up your event and make it fit your needs. Additionally, we love that the reporting feature captures so much different information and you can always find the report you need.

What do you dislike?

The platform was not as user friendly as we would have liked when it came to selling multiple tickets to one guest. Many of our guests wanted to buy 2, 3, or 4 tickets and distribute them to friends and family later. The system was set up in such a way that this was only possible if the purchaser knew exactly who would be using the tickets at the time of purpose.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Cvent primarily to sell tickets for one event. What we like most is that Cvent allows us to add promo codes, early bird pricing deadlines, and restrictions. The platform is robust and we have been able to do almost every single thing we have wanted.
