That a lot of the tools are organized by Cvent product for the user vs. all living under the specific event. Would be great to create an event, log in, and have all the tools at your disposal there vs. jumping between Cvent products that sync across an event.

There are a lot of wonderful things about the Cvent platform for our team, primarily that the meeting/event data entry is now going into a software system instead of just into an Excel document. We rely heavily on the Meeting Request Forms, as well as the budget and external calendar tools, and we are moving more information into the system so that reporting becomes more reliable and effective for us with our internal stakeholders.

The system can't be a perfect fit for everyone - we all have too many nuances in our daily meeting planning/event management to make that possible. We do miss having the option of a parent/child meeting data relationship, and it's also challenging for us to navigate all of our budget reporting needs as we need to do more complex cross-event reporting. Cvent has been great to try to help us, but it's still a challenge to look for an out of the box solution.

Cvent really is the industry leader. Make sure you have a team member dedicated to implementation as it is a lengthy process, and you need someone equally dedicated to launching it internally and making continuous improvements.

Getting rid of Excel and Word - or at least getting closer to it! It's great to have an end in sight to get all of our info in the system so that we can save time compiling data and then worrying about what information is obsolete or just outdated.
