"Cvent is the caviar of event management software"

What do you like best?

Cvent allows you to do what you want. If you have a scenario that you want done in your registration, chances are, you can make it happen in Cvent. The registration is easy for the end user to use and allows us to easily register or amend registrations on the back end. The reports are wonderful and easy to customize. Parked reports allows our colleagues to view reports at their leisure without having to ping the events team for information. The customer support team is awesome and very knowledgable.

What do you dislike?

It is pricey, but you get what you pay for. We have to have an alternative event registration system for our simple events because we can't afford to use Cvent for all of those registrations. It also is not intuitive and there is a steep learning curve, but the support team is very helpful.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

While expensive, Cvent is worth the money and gives your end user a top notch experience.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The ability to have complex registrations has allowed us to compress several separate registrations into one and people to self identify their registration type that takes them down certain paths. We are also able to send out separate links if we don't want them to self identify. The parked reports have also made sharing of information internally much easier.

What do you like best?

The many options available to customize and event based on its uniqueness and demands of data collection.

What do you dislike?

A dislike presently is the ability to create some customized reports without the aid of a CVent staff.

Do your homework and research all aspects of your event and needs to insure proper fit of the Cvent platform before committing to purchase a license to use.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

A couple of business issues have and continue to be resolved with the use of Cvent registration management. 1- Customization of online attendee registration to meet our annual event needs and 2- the ability to seamlessly integrate our preferred merchant account to conduct fee attendee payment.

"Easy to use and excellent customer service"

What do you like best?

I use CVENT for managing a series of classes with a partner program I help run. I have found CVENT to be very easy to use and customizable in a way that suits my needs for all different types of events. The best part about CVENT is their customer service- I've never had an easier time getting answers to my questions. Staff is always available, friendly, and helpful; plus they send you a follow-up email so you can access the answer later on if you forget.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes it is almost too customizable in that there are so many options it can be overwhelming.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

CVENT helps a program run by two different entities share the same platform.

"Massive Product - every option available"

What do you like best?

I love the ability to customize with every available option - there are no limits to what you can do with Cvent.

What do you dislike?

It takes a lot of brainpower with a person who is pretty tech-savvy to learn - although tech support is always available to help.

Look at all add-ons before committing - you may find that you'll want them later at an additional cost

We are able to register thousands of people for our events seamlessly, and now we are actually subcontracting our event services out to other organizations.

"Very simple administrative interface compared to others."

What do you like best?

Once you learn a few key words, it becomes extremely intuitive and logical to navigate.

What do you dislike?

As with any off the shelf solution, it has limitations on what you can do.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Compared to other event management tool, Cvent can handle small intimate dinners to large complex events. It can also integrate with many other systems. It's intuitive and flexible enough to meet many business needs.

What do you like best?

I love how easy it is to track our registrations across multiple events; run reports that that give me a great snapshot of financials, event specific questions, and other pertinent information.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes it is to robust and doesn't offer WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) so when you want to make a change to a registration process, sometimes it is hard to find where to make that change.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Cvent saves us hours of manual tracking in spreadsheets, using Access and mail merging for nametags and agenda. With everything in one location, it is easy to track, print, and organize everything.

"Great program for event management"

What do you like best?

The Cvent representatives were very thorough and easily accessible, and did a good job of keeping us on track. Managing invitees and attendees was also fairly straightforward. I found the design aspect of creating events significantly easier once Flex was introduced.

What do you dislike?

The wait to hear back from Cvent representatives...generally it's a 24 hour ordeal which is disappointing because I'd like to be able to work on an event throughout one entire day instead of a little bit over the span of a week sometimes. The HTML coding was difficult at first. Before Flex, Cvent was portrayed to be super easy and we wouldn't need to know coding; however, I discovered quickly this was not quite the case. It has become significantly easier since the addition of Flex.

We use Cvent for event management and to keep track of our attendees.

"Incredible software, support and service"

What do you like best?

Wow - what a hard choice. From the customer service to the functionality of CVent, we were blown away by all you can do. There was never a "no" answer for our event needs, the team was always able to find a solution.

What do you dislike?

Quite difficult to learn without the support team. I would have no idea what to do or where to begin without them and I feel for those who did not purchase the package that includes this.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It can be expensive, but if you are looking for a professional project from start to finish, this is totally worth the money.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

No ads on our registration, professional feel, and incredible yield. We had an 82% open rate for our emails - which is unheard of!

"CVent is a diverse product!"

What do you like best?

I like that CVent is up to date technology for the customer to use. I like that it is easy to travel with and looks sleek

What do you dislike?

There are some functions that it could improve on. It does not offer specific notification. It is good for general conference use, but when it comes to specific need there could be some improvements.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I find that it is easy to relay some reports to the customer. I am not sure what they were using before I came to the office, so I can't compare them.
